Bonus Damage is paid per Deal action, so the pool's multi-target spells are its only real payoff — twelve damage from one card
Pieces
- Annie, Fiery ×1
OGS-001 · engine · fury
Your spells and abilities deal 1 Bonus Damage. (Each instance of damage the spell deals is increased by 1.)
- Piercing Light ×1

Deck
- Any legend with Fury among its two domains (103.1.b.3) — 16 names: Daughter of the Void (OGN-247), Relentless Storm (OGN-249), Loose Cannon (OGN-251), Hand of Noxus (OGN-253), Dark Child - Starter (OGS-017), Mechanized Menace (SFD-181), Purifier (SFD-183), Glorious Executioner (SFD-185), Void Burrower (SFD-187), Virtuoso (UNL-181), Pridestalker (UNL-183), Bloodharbor Ripper (UNL-185), Piltover Enforcer (UNL-187), Rogue Assassin (VEN-139), Butcher of the Sands (VEN-141), Master of Shadows (VEN-143). CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md): only OGS-017 Dark Child - Starter carries the Annie tag, so only under it can Annie, Fiery be the Chosen Champion (103.2.a.2: "Must be a champion unit with a champion tag that matches the tag on your Champion Legend.") and start the game in the Champion Zone (103.2.a.1: "This will be placed in the Champion Zone at the start of the game."). Under the other fifteen she is a draw: going first in a Duel (no draw is skipped, 485.7), at least one of three copies among the 7 cards seen by T3, out of 39, is 45.73%.
- 4 Energy and 2 Fury Power for the spell plus its [Repeat] cost, on a turn Annie is already on the board (E5 + 1 Fury Power, paid earlier). CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md): Annie and the spell with its [Repeat] in one turn is E9 + 3 Fury Power, nine runes, and going first you have nine from T5 (315.3.b: "1. The Turn Player channels 2 runes from their Rune Deck."), so the two cannot share a turn before T5. Annie first is not required: on the play's board, Annie first and spell first both stood at 4 to 3 after their T4, against their best reply each time; Annie first left their board empty, spell first left their OGS-016 Vanguard Attendant holding your battlefield.

Prerequisites
- RIOT NAMES ANNIE IN THE RULE, AND THE EXAMPLE IS THE ARITHMETIC. 715.2: 'If the Deal action has multiple targets, the amount of Damage dealt to each target is increased by Bonus Damage individually and separately. Example: Singularity is a spell that says "Deal 6 to each of up to two units." A player plays Singularity while they also control Annie, Fiery... Singularity deals 1 Bonus Damage to both of its targets, dealing 7 to each.' So the payoff of a Bonus Damage source is the NUMBER OF DEAL ACTIONS a spell performs, not its size.
- PIERCING LIGHT IS THE DENSEST SUCH SPELL IN THE POOL ONCE ITS [Repeat] IS PAID. 'Deal 2 to a unit at a battlefield, then deal 2 to up to one other unit' is two, and 820.1.b gives 'a second time' for its cost — four Deal actions of 2, each raised to 3 by Annie: TWELVE damage for 4 Energy and 2 Fury Power. 820.2.a lets the second execution choose differently, so it is 12 spread over up to four bodies, or 6 stacked on one and 6 on another. CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md): not the densest. OGN-248 Icathian Rain prints "Deal 2 to a unit." six times, six Deal actions from one card, and icathian-rain-annie-ravenborn-six-deal-actions already says so. Swept 2026-10-18 over every card in data/corpus_flat.txt with Fury among its domains, counting printed Deal instructions with a fixed number of targets and doubling them where a [Repeat] can be paid: Icathian Rain 6, Piercing Light 4, UNL-182 Curtain Call at most 2 (two of its four modes deal damage: "Deal 2 to a unit at a battlefield." and "Deal 3 to a unit at a base."), OGN-029 Falling Star 2, every other card 2 or fewer. Deals to "all" units (OGS-002 Firestorm, "Deal 3 to all enemy units at a battlefield."; OGS-018 Tibbers, "When you play me, deal 3 to all units at battlefields.") scale with the board and are outside that count. The claim therefore holds outside a Kai'Sa deck only: Icathian Rain is a Kai'Sa Signature card (data/signature.src.json, Fury/Mind), and 103.2.d.2 ("All of the Signature cards must have the Champion tag that corresponds to the Champion Legend of the deck.") admits it only under OGN-247 Daughter of the Void, the one Kai'Sa legend. Curtain Call is a Jhin Signature card, playable only under UNL-181 Virtuoso.
- 714 IS THE CEILING NOBODY EXPECTS: 'If more than one instance of Bonus Damage is applied or granted to a Deal action, all instances are summed and applied once.' A second source — `OGN-032 Ravenborn Tome`'s '+1 Bonus Damage to the next spell' — makes it +2 per Deal action, not +1 applied twice. Bonus Damage scales with the number of ACTIONS, and only additively with the number of SOURCES.
- AND IT NEVER TOUCHES COMBAT. 713 scopes Bonus Damage to 'Deal actions', and 417.6.b.3 sources combat damage to the units themselves — its worked example is Challenge, 'The damage that Challenge causes to be dealt is dealt by the chosen units, not by Challenge.' So none of this feeds the excess-damage family (R28 = A), and the six printed Bonus Damage cards and `OGN-034 Tryndamere` are separate systems, as #119 measured.
- 143.2.a is the yardstick: 3 damage kills a 3-Might body outright and 6 kills a 6-Might one, so a single Piercing Light under Annie clears two mid-sized bodies or one large one plus a token. CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md): the arithmetic. Each execution's second Deal must pick "up to one other unit", so a body takes at most two of the four Deals, and with both executions paid the spell clears two bodies of Might 6, or four of Might 3. Without Annie the same spell clears two of Might 4, or four of Might 2. Annie's part is the third and fourth Might-3 body, or a pair of Might 5 or 6.
- The Bonus Damage also rides Annie's word 'and abilities' — `OGN-017 Iron Ballista`'s 'exhaust: Deal 2 to a unit at a battlefield' becomes 3, and 417.6.b.2.a names the Ballista as its own worked example for damage dealt 'both by a gear and by an ability'. That is a lead, not part of this entry's `uses`.
- NO ANSWER WAS NAMED - ADDED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md). OGN-145 Unyielding Spirit (Body, E1 + 1 Body Power, [Reaction]): "Prevent all spell and ability damage this turn." Cast in answer to Piercing Light it prevents all twelve, the Bonus Damage included (715.4.a: "If Damage is replaced or reduced by any means, the replacing or reducing action will include the Bonus Damage in the total damage when determining how much damage is to be dealt."). OGN-229 Vengeance (Order, E4 + 2 Order Power), "Kill a unit.", kills Annie in her base on their turn, before the spell, and the line is back to 2s. Not carried over from the play's list: OGN-133 Flurry of Blades and a card hidden at the target battlefield answer the Conquer that followed the spell in the play, and this entry names no Conquer.
Steps
- Play Annie, Fiery (5 Energy + 1 Fury Power) and keep her on the board.
- Play Piercing Light for 2 Energy + 1 Fury Power and pay its [Repeat] cost of 2 Energy + 1 Fury Power (820.1.c.1).
- First execution: deal 2 to a unit at a battlefield, raised to 3 by Annie (715.2); then deal 2 to up to one other unit, also raised to 3. CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md): only the first Deal of each execution needs "a unit at a battlefield"; the second ("then deal 2 to up to one other unit") has no location clause and reaches a unit in a base. With no unit, yours or theirs, at a battlefield the spell cannot be played at all, 355.8: "In order to put a spell or ability on the chain, valid choices must be made for all targets."
- Second execution (820.1.b), choosing freely again (820.2.a): another 3 and another 3. CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md): the second execution's targets are not chosen after the first resolves. 820.2: "When a spell or ability’s effect is performed an additional time with Repeat, choices must be made at the usual time during the Make Relevant Choices step of Playing a Card." So all four are chosen as the spell is played, and 820.2.a only lets them differ from the first execution's. Nothing dies until the spell has finished resolving (321: "Similarly, while Chain Items are Resolving, a Cleanup cannot occur."; 142.4.a: "Lethal Damage is the amount of marked Damage that will cause a unit to die in a cleanup."), so both executions can hit the same body: 6 on one unit.
- Twelve damage in total across up to four bodies; 143.2.a kills each one whose Might it reaches.
Per iteration
-1 card, -4 Energy -2 Fury Power, 12 damage spread over up to four enemy units
How it ends
engine — twelve damage from one card for 4 Energy and 2 Fury Power, three times a game (103.2.b), on an Annie already in play; nothing here scores

AUTHORED 2026-09-07, issue #173. OGS-001 Annie, Fiery and SFD-023 Piercing Light were both in ZERO entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.1.b.3, 103.2.b, 143.2.a, 417.6.b.2.a, 417.6.b.3, 713, 714, 715.2, 820.1.b, 820.1.c.1, 820.2.a opened in the Core Rules file. Both cards legal in both formats; neither is Signature. No unruled reading. #119 had already measured that Bonus Damage and combat excess damage are disjoint; what this entry adds is the constructive half — the payoff scales with Deal ACTIONS (715.2) and only additively with sources (714), which is what picks the partner. CORRECTED 2026-10-18 (#392, from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-16-annies-plus-one-kills-the-five-might-body-that-two-plus-two-cannot-and-that-is-a-battlefield.md), and kept verified: the mechanism holds. Bonus Damage is paid per Deal action (715.2), and a paid [Repeat] executes the Deal instructions a second time at resolution (820.1.d.1), which is not the open question of the #187 [Repeat] bullet in docs/rules-notes/rules-findings.md (one play, two choice-sets): nothing here keys on the spell being played or on a unit being chosen. What was wrong is prose around it: "densest" (Icathian Rain has six, under the Kai'Sa legend only), when the four targets are chosen (at the play, 820.2), the clearing arithmetic, that only Dark Child - Starter makes Annie the Chosen Champion, that the two share a turn from T5 going first, that the spell needs a unit at a battlefield to be cast (355.8), and the missing answers (Unyielding Spirit, Vengeance).
