Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Land the three payoffs over a few turns: Jayce, Hammer in Hand (E4 + 1 Power), Pirate's Haven (E3), Fretful Feline (E6).
  2. Use them normally — move them, attack, activate. They end your turn exhausted.
  3. Your Awaken (315.1.b) readies every exhausted Game Object you control. Each ready is a trigger: Pirate's Haven gives that unit +1 Might this turn, Jayce chooses a keyword, Fretful Feline takes +2.
  4. In the Main Phase, cast Overt Operation (E5 + 2 Power). Spend each buffed unit's buff to ready it — every body that has acted this turn stands up again, and all three triggers fire a second time.
  5. Overt Operation then buffs all friendly units, which arms the second copy for the following turn.
  6. Jayce ends the turn with two of his three keywords and Fretful Feline at M10.

How it ends

engine only — a free +1 Might per readied body, a keyword of choice on Jayce and +2 on Fretful Feline EVERY Awaken for no cards, doubled on any turn an Overt Operation is cast. Nothing here scores.

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-finisher-feeders.md §18), issue #161, from the CAUSE/TRIGGER matrix rows 40-42. Card set checked against the current data/combos.json before writing (VEN-088 + OGN-143 + VEN-071 + OGN-153: no exact match; the first three appear in NO catalogued entry at all). Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 103.1.b.3, 167, 315.1, 315.1.b, 315.2, 316, 415.1, 415.1.b, 702.2.a, 702.3, 703. The three trigger cards were deliberately written as ONE entry — they are three triggers on the same event in the same domain, so a single ready fires all three, and three entries would be the near-duplicates the one-entry-per-trigger-card rule exists to prevent. Trap check: no attack of the entry's own and no Attacker designation; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; no recall; the Might bonuses are continuous modifiers and not 702 buffs, so 702.3 does not cap them; 167 is named only to say it does NOT reach a Might modifier.
