187.9: the Baron Pit is the ONE destination in the pool a unit may Standard-Move to from anywhere, so a battlefield-to-battlefield walk costs one leg instead of two and needs no [Ganking]
Pieces
- Baron Nashor ×3
UNL-147 · enabler · chaos
As you play me, add the Baron Pit battlefield token to the board if it's not there already. If you do, I enter there. (It has "Units can move here from anywhere.") I can't be chosen by enemy spells and abilities. Other friendly units have +2 Might.
- Fae Porter ×3
SFD-125 · engine · chaos
When I move to a battlefield, you may pay 1 Chaos Power to move a unit you control to the same battlefield.
- Treasure Hunter ×3
SFD-130 · resource · chaos
When I move, play a Gold gear token exhausted.

Deck
- All three cards are mono-Chaos, so 103.1.b.3 admits them under any legend with Chaos among its two domains. Measured over data/cards.json on 2026-09-09 those are the sixteen names OGN-251 / OGN-301 Loose Cannon (fury/chaos), OGN-259 / OGN-305 Unforgiven (calm/chaos), OGN-263 / OGN-307 Swift Scout (mind/chaos), OGN-267 / OGN-309 Bounty Hunter (body/chaos), OGS-017 Dark Child - Starter (fury/chaos), SFD-185 / SFD-242 Glorious Executioner (fury/chaos), SFD-195 / SFD-246 Blade Dancer (calm/chaos), SFD-199 / SFD-248 Prodigal Explorer (mind/chaos), SFD-203 / SFD-250 Battle Mistress (body/chaos), UNL-185 / UNL-228 Bloodharbor Ripper (fury/chaos), UNL-193 / UNL-232 Gloomist (calm/chaos), UNL-197 / UNL-234 Scorn of the Moon (mind/chaos), UNL-201 / UNL-236 Voidreaver (body/chaos), VEN-143 / VEN-191 Master of Shadows (fury/chaos), VEN-151 / VEN-195 Soul's Reflection (mind/chaos) and VEN-155 / VEN-197 Heart of the Tempest (order/chaos).
- None of the three is a Signature card (checked against data/cards.json 2026-09-09), so 103.2.d.2 forces no legend. Legality checked against data/legality.json the same day: UNL-147, SFD-125, SFD-130 and the UNL-T01 Baron Pit token appear in no format's ban or restriction list.
- Nothing happens until the Baron is paid for - E10 plus 3 Chaos Power - because the Pit does not exist before that.
Prerequisites
- THE FINDING IS A DESTINATION EXCEPTION, AND THE RULES PRINT IT THEMSELVES. 187.9: 'The Baron Pit battlefield token is a domainless battlefield token with "Units can move here from anywhere."' 144.4 restricts the Standard Move's destinations to exactly two shapes - 144.4.a 'Units may move from their Base to a Battlefield' and 144.4.b 'Units may move from a Battlefield to their Base' - so a body standing at battlefield A normally needs TWO turns to reach battlefield B, one leg each way through the base, because 144.2 makes the exhaust the cost and 415.3.a readies it only at your own Awakening.
- AND IT IS NOT [Ganking], WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT. 144.4.c.1 lets a unit with Ganking 'use their Standard Move to Move from Battlefield to Battlefield', and 810.1.c.3 is explicit that the keyword 'does not give additional abilities or activations of Movement, only new options for the Standard Move'. Ganking is granted per UNIT and every body needs its own. The Pit is granted per DESTINATION: no keyword, no cost, no per-unit grant, and it is on the board for the rest of the game.
- MEASURED, WITH THE MEMBERS NAMED. A sweep of data/corpus_flat.txt for 'from anywhere' on 2026-09-09 returns seven rows and only ONE of them is about moving: UNL-T01 Baron Pit, '(You can't start the game with a token battlefield.) Units can move here from anywhere', quoted again in UNL-147's own reminder text. The other five are about PLAYING a card from a zone other than hand - SFD-010 Void Drone, SFD-029 Rek'Sai Breacher, SFD-164 Drag Under, VEN-022 Endless Riches and VEN-155 Heart of the Tempest - and none of them touches movement.
- 190.6.d CANNOT BLANK IT, SO IT WORKS FROM THE INSTANT IT APPEARS. That paragraph blanks a battlefield's instructions only through the word 'you': with no Controller, '"You" in a battlefield's abilities refers to no one, and all such instructions are ignored.' The Pit's clause says 'Units', not 'you'. It is therefore live while uncontrolled - and live for the OPPONENT too, which this entry states rather than hides: the Pit is a road both players may walk, and what makes it yours is the Baron standing on it under a 054.1 prohibition rather than a 809.1.c tax.
- FAE PORTER IS THE CARD THAT TURNS ONE LEG INTO TWO BODIES. His trigger reads 'When I move to a battlefield', so it fires on the leg into the Pit, and the unit he brings moves by EFFECT - 449, 'Spells, Abilities, or other effects may cause a Move to occur' - which 420.3.a's exhaust cost never touches, because that cost belongs to the Standard Move alone (420.2.b keeps the two kinds distinct). One exhaust and one Chaos Power deliver two bodies to a battlefield neither of them could have reached this turn.
- AND THE PASSENGER CAN COME FROM THE OTHER BATTLEFIELD. 449.1 leaves the destination legality to the source of the move, and Fae Porter's own text names only 'the same battlefield' - no origin restriction at all - so the body he ferries may be standing at your other battlefield, exactly the walk 144.4 forbids. The Porter needs the Pit for HIMSELF; his passenger never did.
- TREASURE HUNTER PRICES THE ROAD. 'When I move, play a Gold gear token exhausted' fires on any move, so every leg pays a Gold - and 187.5's token 'has [Reaction] Kill this, exhaust: [Add] one rainbow' with its own exhaust in the cost, so a Gold minted on your turn is Power from your NEXT Awakening (415.3.a). The card that would make it live immediately, SFD-171 Renata Glasc, Industrialist, is mono-Order and cannot be in this list.
- THE HONEST LIMIT: THE PIT DOES NOT MULTIPLY MOVES, IT SHORTENS THEM. 144.2 still charges one exhaust per body per Standard Move and 415.3.a still returns it only at your own Awakening, so nobody moves twice. What changes is that the leg is worth twice as much: a 'when I move to a battlefield' payoff that previously paid every other turn now pays every turn, and a body committed to the wrong battlefield is one action from the right one. 144.3 also lets a whole pack walk as one game action to a shared destination.
- TWIN. baron-pit-illaoi-third-battlefield-holds walks the SCORING half of the same token - 485.4's Battlefield Count of 2 against 470's once-per-battlefield cap, and 471.1.b.1's price for a Conquer-based final point. This entry is the movement clause and shares no other card with it; the two are different questions about one line of printed text and each names the other.
- 483.4 IS THE PARAGRAPH THIS LINE`S CEILING ARGUMENT WAS DERIVED WITHOUT (upgrade 2026-09-12, #187 batch 7). This catalogue cites 485.4 two hundred and seventy-four times and 483.1 through 483.8 ZERO times - and 483 is where those field names are defined. **483.4: *"Battlefield Count: Determines how many Battlefields are in play, contributed by players, during play."*** The Duel`s Count of 2 is a count of battlefields CONTRIBUTED BY PLAYERS, and a battlefield token added by a card is contributed by a CARD, so it is outside the Count by the field`s own definition rather than by an argument from 485.4 read against 485.4.a. 483.4.b is the general statement behind that pair (*"This may involve utilizing less Battlefields than there are players"*), and 483.6 - *"Format: Conditions to win or additional rules added over play"* - is the field 489.3`s Victory Score of 11 instantiates.
- ONE ENERGY AT REACTION SPEED ANSWERS THE BODY THIS ENGINE STANDS ON (Treasure Hunter (M1 x3)). OGN-133 Flurry of Blades is Body, 1 Energy: "[Reaction] (Play any time, even before spells and abilities resolve.) Deal 1 to all units at battlefields." 143.2.a kills a unit whose marked damage equals or exceeds its Might and 142.4.b defines Lethal Damage as "a non-zero amount greater than or equal to that Unit's Might", so one damage is lethal to every body of Might 1 or less. RUNNING MORE COPIES IS NOT A DEFENCE: 370.1.a.2 makes events simultaneous when they "are all the result of the same Game Action", so the sweep kills every copy at once. And because it carries [Reaction], 813.1.c.1 lets it be played "during Closed States on any player's turn" - it never has to be cast a turn early the way the base-reaching removals do, and it can land in response to the very trigger this engine exists to fire. WHAT PROTECTS IT: this entry's cards are chaos, so the second domain is still free and CHOOSING IT DECIDES WHICH PROTECTION YOU GET - 103.1.b allows exactly one partner, so these are alternatives and not a list you can run together. only if the second domain is FURY: VEN-018 Rage Amplifier (gear, 'Your units have +1 Might' - the only UNCONDITIONAL board-wide one, +2 while Empowered) | only if the second domain is ORDER: OGN-243 Darius, Executioner ('Other friendly units have +1 Might HERE' - his battlefield only, and never himself); OGS-013 Garen, Commander (same clause as Darius, same limits) | only if the second domain is MIND: UNL-077 Soul Shepherd ('Your TOKEN units have +1 Might' - tokens only, nothing for a printed body); SFD-089 Rumble, Scrapper ('Your MECHS have +1 Might' - Mech tag only) | colourless, so legal whatever the second domain is: OGN-294 Trifarian War Camp (colourless battlefield, 'Units here have +1 Might') - but 485.5 makes a battlefield you bring a 1-in-3, and 103.4.c forbids two of the same name. A single-target pump is no use against a sweep that hits every body at once, which is why only permanent, board-wide sources are listed.
Steps
- Play UNL-147 Baron Nashor (10 Energy + 3 Chaos Power). The Baron Pit token joins the board and he enters there; 170.3, 170.4 and 185.2.e together mean nothing in the pool can remove it afterwards.
- From now on every unit either player controls may reach the Pit with a Standard Move from any location (187.9), including from the other battlefield, with no [Ganking] and no effect.
- Move SFD-125 Fae Porter to the Pit. He pays 144.2's exhaust for his own Standard Move; his trigger 'When I move to a battlefield' fires on arrival.
- Pay one Chaos Power to the trigger and move a second unit you control to the Pit. That is a move by effect (449), so 420.3.a charges it nothing and 144.4's base-to-battlefield restriction never applies to it - it may come straight off your other battlefield.
- If SFD-130 Treasure Hunter is one of the bodies walking, 'When I move, play a Gold gear token exhausted' mints a Gold for the leg. 187.5 makes it Power from your next Awakening, not this turn.
- Repeat every turn: one exhaust per body (415.3.a readies them at your Awakening), and the Pit is the destination that makes each of those exhausts reach anywhere on the board.
How it ends
engine - two bodies delivered per Fae Porter move and one Gold per leg walked, once a turn per body, for as long as the Pit stands; nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-09 (issue #187, sub-rule lane 100-299). 187.9, 144.4, 144.4.a, 144.4.b and 170.3 / 170.4 / 185.2.e are cited by NO entry and NO synergy rule in this project (measured over data/combos.json and data/synergies.json on 2026-09-09). Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; the 'from anywhere' sweep that establishes the Pit's uniqueness was run over the whole corpus the same day and its seven rows are named in the notable. Legality checked against data/legality.json on 2026-09-09: UNL-147, SFD-125, SFD-130 and UNL-T01 are absent from every format's ban and restriction list. Ran node .scratch/have.mjs UNL-147 SFD-125 SFD-130 before writing: no entry uses that card set or a subset of it. It does not add moves (144.2's exhaust and 415.3.a still allow one a turn per body); it makes each move reach twice as far, which is the difference between a 'when I move to a battlefield' payoff firing every turn and every other turn. Twin: baron-pit-illaoi-third-battlefield-holds walks the scoring half of the same token and shares only UNL-147; each entry names the other. No unruled reading.
