Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Board over the preceding turns: two Karthus, Eternal, a body to carry the Blade, and Blade of the Ruined King in hand.
  2. Walk Kog'Maw, Caustic alone to the battlefield you want cleared (144.1.a, 144.2, 144.4.a).
  3. Activate the Blade's [Equip] for 1 Order Power, attaching it to the body you are keeping and paying the kill half with Kog'Maw (428.1, 428.1.a.1).
  4. His [Deathknell] runs three times — his own plus one per Karthus: 4 damage to all units at that battlefield, three times over.
  5. Twelve damage is marked on each of them (143.3); anything with Might 12 or less dies (143.2.a).
  6. The Blade stays attached at +4 Might on its bearer (137.3). Repeat with the next copy of each.

How it ends

AUTHORED 2026-09-06 from issue #160. OGN-190 Kog'Maw, Caustic was an uncatalogued partner of BOTH blade-of-ruined-king-deathknell-ondemand (22 partners, 4 entries) and karthus-deathknell-double (23 partners, 7 entries). Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.2.b, 137.3, 143.2.a, 143.3, 144.1.a, 144.2, 144.4.a, 428.1 and 428.1.a.1 opened in the Core Rules file. Stands on R1 = A with stacking; no new reading. CORRECTION MADE BEFORE SHIPPING: the first draft said VEN-155 Heart of the Tempest is the pool's only Order/Chaos legend. A census of data/cards.json says one NAME and TWO base codes (VEN-155 and VEN-197) — the same shape as the Green Father case CLAUDE.md records, and the second time this walk caught itself asserting a ceiling instead of measuring it. The conclusion survives: the shell is fixed, and it is the tightest identity of any entry here.
