When I hold, at the start of your next Main Phase, you may move an enemy unit to this battlefield.
Payoff
Deck
- Iascylla is mono-Calm and Blast Cone mono-Chaos, so 103.1.b.1 needs a Calm/Chaos legend. The census run against data/cards.json on 2026-09-12 gives exactly THREE names, and the pair has no fourth: Unforgiven (OGN-259/OGN-305), Blade Dancer (SFD-195/SFD-246), Gloomist (UNL-193/UNL-232).
- Neither card is Signature (data/cards.json, signature=false on both), so 103.2.d.2 forces no legend, and neither appears in data/legality.json in either format - checked 2026-09-12.
Prerequisites
- 411.4 WAS UNCITED AND RIOT'S WORKED EXAMPLE IS THIS CARD'S OWN SENTENCE. The rule: 'If an ability triggers when “you” do something, it triggers when a Game Action that you are responsible for occurs.' Its example opens 'A gear reads “When you move an enemy unit, you may exhaust this to [Stun] it.” It will trigger whenever a move game action that you are responsible for causes an enemy unit to move.' That is UNL-133 Blast Cone, printed in the pool. So the stun is NOT tied to the Cone's own play trigger: it is a responsibility test over every enemy move you cause, whatever card caused it.
- WHICH SPLITS THE CONE'S TWO SENTENCES INTO TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF ABILITY. 'When you play this, you may move an enemy unit' is a Play Effect - 383.4.a: 'Play Effects are Triggered Abilities whose Condition includes the Permanent that has the Play Effect being played to the board' - so it fires ONCE, when the Cone arrives. 'When you move an enemy unit...' is an open-ended trigger with no such condition, and 415.3.a ('A player Readies all non-spell Game Objects they Control during the Awakening Phase on their turn') is the only thing that rations it: one stun per turn, for as long as the Cone lives.
- AND 411.5 / 411.5.a ARE THE PARAGRAPH THAT SAYS WHY THE TEST IS 'RESPONSIBILITY' AND NOT 'ATTRIBUTION'. 411.5: 'Note that certain Game Actions, specifically Kill, can be attributed to spells and abilities. This attribution is not the same as the responsibility a given player has for the kill game action.' 411.5.a: 'Spells and abilities have attribution for game actions, while players have responsibility.' A 'when you move an enemy unit' clause reads the player, so it does not care which card performed the move - which is exactly why Iascylla's trigger, a different permanent entirely, pays the Cone.
- WHAT THIS ADDS TO THE TWO CATALOGUED CONE LINES, STATED PLAINLY. blast-cone-moonfall-forced-attacker buys the moves with three copies of UNL-198 Moonfall at E3 + 1 Power each - three stuns in a game, and the entry does not cite 411.4. vex-mocking-blast-cone-drag-and-tank uses the Cone's own Play Effect, which is one stun ever. Iascylla is the only mover in the pool that is free, repeating and on YOUR turn, so this is the version that does not run out; its price is a 7-Energy body that has to hold a battlefield to pay at all.
- A MOVE CANNOT BE ANSWERED, BUT THE TRIGGER IT CAUSES CAN - AND 446.3 IS WHERE THAT LINE IS DRAWN. 446.3: 'Moving is instantaneous.' 446.3.a: 'There is no state for Permanents between locations.' 446.3.b: 'Permanents are either at their Origin before Moving or their Destination after Moving.' 446.3.c: 'Moving does not use the Chain, nor is it able to be Reacted to.' None of those four was cited by anything in data/combos.json or data/synergies.json. So the opponent can never respond to the drag itself; what they can respond to is the Cone's stun trigger, which does use the Chain. Every 'evacuate, then walk in' line in this catalogue rests on 446.3.c and reaches it the long way round through 323.10 and the Neutral Closed State.
- THE DRAG MAKES THEM THE ATTACKER ON YOUR OWN TURN. 190.3.a.1 and 450 key Contested on the MOVED unit's controller, not on who caused the move, and 464.2.c.1 makes the Attacker 'the player whose unit(s) applied the Contested status to the Battlefield.' 449 is why the move costs nothing: 'Spells, Abilities, or other effects may cause a Move to occur', and 420.3.a puts the exhaust on the Standard Move alone, so an exhausted enemy body moves.
- THE STUN IS WORTH THEIR WHOLE CONTRIBUTION AND NOT ONE POINT MORE. 423.1.b: 'A Stunned Unit does not contribute its might to damage in the combat damage step.' 465.2.c has each player assign damage equal to their summed Might, so a lone dragged body that is stunned assigns nothing. 423.1.c is the other half and must be stated with it - 'A Stunned Unit must still have damage applied to it equal to, or greater than, its full might value to be killed' - so the stun never lowers the price of killing it, and 423.1.a.2 clears it at their end-of-turn cleanup.
- NO POINT IS SCORED, AND THAT IS THE ENTRY'S SHORTFALL. 466.5 establishes Control only 'if they didn't already control this Battlefield' and Iascylla already holds it, so the combat is worth removal and tempo and never a Conquer. The honest yield is one enemy body dragged out of position and blanked per turn, for a one-off E11 + 2 Power, on a board where Iascylla has to keep holding.
- ONE STUN PER TURN, NOT ONE PER MOVE. 423.1.a.1 - 'A Stunned Unit can not be Stunned again' - and the Cone's cost is its own exhaust, which 415.3.a refunds only at YOUR Awakening. A second Blast Cone is a second stun per turn; a second Iascylla is a second move, and the two scale together but each pair costs E11 + 2 Power.
- 204.3.a IS THE FIRST AND CLEANER SOURCE FOR THIS, AND IT CARRIES THE WORKED EXAMPLE: "When Costs within Instructions appear as the first part of the effect in triggered abilities, the cost is taken to be the base cost of the triggered ability. It must be paid to finalize the triggered ability", with Riot's example being Overzealous Fan - "When I defend, you may kill me to move an attacking unit to its base" - and the note that "in order to finalize the ability to the chain, its controller must kill Overzealous Fan". 383.3.b says the same thing later in the book. The companion is 204.3.b: a cost appearing in a SPELL, in an ACTIVATED ability, or in a LATER part of a trigger's effect is paid on resolution instead, which is the 205 "pay X. If you do, Y" family and the reason the two look alike on the card and behave differently on the chain.
Steps
- Play Iascylla to a battlefield and establish Control of it (E7 + 1 Calm Power). Play Blast Cone (E4 + 1 Chaos Power); its Play Effect may drag one enemy body immediately, which the Cone's own second sentence then stuns - that is the one-shot both catalogued Cone entries use.
- At your next Beginning Phase, 315.2.b.2 Holds the battlefield and Iascylla's trigger arms a delayed effect for the start of your next Main Phase.
- At 316.4 that effect resolves: move an enemy unit to Iascylla's battlefield. 446.3.c means the opponent cannot react to the move itself.
- 411.4 fires Blast Cone off that move - a move game action you are responsible for - even though a different permanent performed it. 383.3.b makes the exhaust written after 'you may' the trigger's base cost, paid to finalize it (383.3.b.1).
- Stun the dragged body. 190.3.a.1 and 450 applied Contested when it arrived, so 464.2.c.1 designates its controller the Attacker in your own Main Phase.
- 323.9 stages the Combat and 323.13 opens it. 465.2.c assigns each side its summed Might; 423.1.b keeps the stunned attacker's Might out of the sum entirely.
- 415.3.a readies Blast Cone at your next Awakening and Iascylla holds again, so the whole cycle repeats every turn with no card spent.
Per iteration
one enemy body pulled out of position and stripped of its whole contribution to the damage step, at no card cost
How it ends
engine - one free enemy drag and one stun per turn for as long as Iascylla holds, off a one-off 11 Energy + 2 Power. No point is scored: 466.5 gives Control only to a player who did not already control the battlefield, and Iascylla already does

411.4, 411.5, 411.5.a, 446.2, 446.3, 446.3.a, 446.3.b and 446.3.c were cited by NOTHING in data/combos.json or data/synergies.json before this entry - measured 2026-09-12 by extracting every NNN.x.y token from both files. Riot's worked example at 411.4 is UNL-133 Blast Cone's own printed sentence. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Legend census run against data/cards.json, not typed. Cross-references: blast-cone-moonfall-forced-attacker and vex-mocking-blast-cone-drag-and-tank use the same gear with bought or one-shot moves and neither cites 411.4; iascylla-teemo-strategist-forced-defend uses the same mover with a defend-trigger payoff.
