Blind Fury × Kennen — the pool's only theft from an opponent's deck, cast a second time out of your own trash

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Play Kennen, Storm of Shuriken (3 Energy + 1 Power). His play trigger [Burn 2] puts the top 2 of your Main Deck into your trash (431.1.b) and may put a Blind Fury there for free.
  2. Cast Blind Fury from hand for 4 Energy + 2 Power. The opponent reveals the top card of their Main Deck; banish it and play it ignoring its cost — you are its controller (191.1). Blind Fury goes to your trash (351.2).
  3. On a later turn Kennen conquers. His trigger gives a spell in your trash [Flow] equal to its cost this turn: Blind Fury, 4 Energy + 2 Power (2 Energy + 2 Power with Stargazer out).
  4. 829.1.b.2 — a Flow cast does not change when the spell may be played, so the Main Phase cast is legal even though the Flow was granted in your Beginning Phase if the conquer came from Reckoner's Arena. Steal a second card the same way.
  5. The spell is banished as it leaves the chain (829.1.b.1). That copy is spent for the game; the next steal needs another of the three copies.

Per iteration

+1 card out of the opponent's Main Deck, played free, for 4 Energy + 2 Power (2 Energy + 2 Power with Stargazer), once per Kennen conquer

How it ends

engine only — card advantage and deck denial, capped at 6 Blind Fury plays per game by 829.1.b.1 with 103.2.b; it scores nothing by itself

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue115-scoring-and-free-plays.md), issue #115 §4. The mechanism survives and the class is ENGINE; TWO THINGS IN THE ISSUE WERE CORRECTED. (1) THE PRONOUN NEEDED NO PARALLEL PRINTING: the issue inferred that 'you' play the stolen card from a contrast with VEN-114 Kharox's explicit wording; 191.2 plus 190.6.d's implied-'you' sentence plus 191.1 settle it from the rules, and 191.1 also answers who controls the card afterwards. (2) THE REPEAT IS CAPPED AND THE ISSUE DID NOT SAY SO: 829.1.b / 829.1.b.1 banish the spell after every Flow play, so each of the 3 copies (103.2.b) is re-flowable exactly once — 6 plays per game, not an open-ended once-per-conquer engine. This catalogue had never cited 056, 056.2, 191.1 or 416.1.c; they are what make the theft one-way. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 052, 055, 056, 056.2, 103.1.b.1, 103.1.b.2, 103.1.b.3, 103.2.b, 127.1, 157, 190.6.d, 191.1, 191.2, 351.2, 355.2.a, 359.2.c, 416.1, 416.1.a, 416.1.c, 416.4, 416.5, 427.1, 431.1.a, 431.1.b, 431.1.c, 431.1.c.1, 485.1, 485.4.a, 485.5, 829.1.b, 829.1.b.1, 829.1.b.2, 829.1.c.1, 829.2, 383.4.g.1. Ban check against data/legality.json: neither OGN-025 nor VEN-113 is banned or restricted in constructed or 2v2. Trap check: no attack designation is claimed for the minimal line beyond an ordinary conquer; no [Temporary]; no [Repeat]; no token is recycled or trashed, so 185 / 186.1 never arise; no Gold; no recall; the battlefield is named in notable only. Depends on no unruled reading.
