Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Calm and Order — SFD-247 Emperor of the Sands, OGN-261 Radiant Dawn, UNL-195 Green Father, VEN-147 Eye of Twilight. The same identity as corina-svellsongur-plaza, so the two share a deck.
Prerequisites
- TWO POWER FOR TWO ENERGY, THE SAME TURN, WITH ZERO POWER INVESTED. Blood Money kills your own 1 Might Bird (1 ≤ 2), pays two Gold, and Renata makes them enter ready under R25 = A, so 187.5's 'Kill this, [exhaust]: [Add] [A]' is payable immediately. This is the cheapest body-to-Power converter in its identity (CORRECTED 2026-09-12 by audit #202: it is NOT the only one - OGN-113 Malzahar, Fanatic reads `Kill a friendly unit or gear, exhaust: [Action] - [Add] rainbow rainbow` and is in seven entries, two of them named for that conversion; the original sweep checked only the three Renata and Gold neighbours).
- MEASURED AGAINST THE TWO BENCHMARKS THE PROJECT ALREADY FIXED. A Seal (OGN-040/081/120/163/204/245, E0 P1) costs 1 Power to install and returns 1 Power per turn: it wins over a long game, and Blood Money wins on the turn you need the Power, because it installs for 0 Power and pays 2 at [Action] speed. And it does NOT move the ~9-Energy-per-Power loop rate of the #21 ledger — loops spend per PASS and this pays once per copy, three times per game at 103.2.b's cap.
- THE FUEL HAS TO BE AT A BATTLEFIELD, WHICH IS THIS LENS'S WHOLE BOTTLENECK. Issue #48 measured that 18 of the 49 token makers put their tokens 'at your base', where Blood Money cannot reach them. Frisky Hunter is the cheapest self-contained answer in Calm/Order: 4 Energy for a 3 Might body plus a disposable 1 Might Bird at the battlefield, and under Renata the Bird enters ready too (187.7 also gives it [Deflect]).
- 323.6 IS THE TRAP: 'Players lose control of any controlled Battlefields without their Units occupying them.' Never kill the last friendly body at a battlefield you control — the Hunter himself is what keeps it. UNL-077 Soul Shepherd ('Your token units have +1 Might') is anti-synergistic: it pushes 2 Might Sand Soldiers to 3 and out of Blood Money's filter.
- VIKTOR, LEADER (OGN-246) ADDS A REFUND BUT NOT AN ENGINE, which is why issue #48's candidate 3 is not a separate entry. Killing the Bird is 'another non-Recruit unit you control dies' and pays a Recruit — 383.2.c.2 is the rules' own worked example on this card. But the Recruit is played 'into your base', and Blood Money needs 'a unit at a battlefield', and it is a Recruit, so Viktor never fires on it. One base body per cast, no repetition.
- It works on an enemy unit too, for half: 'If it was an enemy unit, play a Gold gear token exhausted' — one Gold instead of two, plus the removal.
Steps
- Have Renata Glasc, Industrialist on the board (4 Energy + 1 Power).
- Play Frisky Hunter to a battlefield you control (4 Energy): a 3 Might body, plus a 1 Might Bird with [Deflect] there, entering ready because of Renata.
- Play Blood Money for 2 Energy and choose your own Bird (1 Might ≤ 2). Two Gold gear tokens are played; Renata makes them enter ready (R25 = A).
- Kill each Gold and exhaust it (187.5): +2 rainbow Power, in the same Main Phase, with the Hunter still occupying the battlefield so 323.6 does not take it back.
Per iteration
+2 rainbow Power for 2 Energy and one disposable body, once per copy of Blood Money
How it ends
engine only — Blood Money is a spell and pays once per copy; it fuels a turn, it does not loop

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-token-lens-candidates.md), issue #48 candidate 2, and it absorbs candidate 3 (viktor-leader-blood-money-refill), which was REFUTED as a standalone entry in the same walk: Viktor's refund lands at the base, cannot be Blood Money fuel, and is a Recruit so it never re-triggers him — that is a notable here, not a mechanism. Stands on R25 = A only, already ruled. Distinct from treasure-hunter-industrialist-gold, black-market-broker-bandle-tree-gold and yeti-brambleback-renata-gold, which share Renata but make their Gold off a move, off a facedown flip and off a conquer; this one is the only line that pays Power for a body.
