[Accelerate] (You may pay 1 Energy + 1 Fury Power as an additional cost to have me enter ready.) Your conquer effects for conquering here trigger an additional time. When I conquer, [Buff] a friendly unit. (Give it a +1 Might buff if it doesn't have one.)
Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Fury and Body — Purifier (SFD-183) is the pick, since "Your Equipment each give [Assault]" helps win the combat that leads to the Conquer. Relentless Storm (OGN-249), Pridestalker (UNL-183) and Butcher of the Sands (VEN-141) also cover the pair. CORRECTED 2026-10-26 (#472, the follow-up PR #471 listed for #464): the steps take the Showdown route (348.2.a), which is unaffected; the combat this legend helps win is not. 383.4.c.2.a: 'The Conquer Abilities of Units are put on the Chain as Pending Items after the Unit(s) these effects correspond to are present at a Battlefield when a player gains control of it and gains 1 Victory Point from Conquering.' 365.1: 'Passive Abilities of Permanents are typically only active while on the Board.' The defender picks the deaths: 465.2.c: 'Starting with the Attacker, each player assigns an amount of damage equal to their summed Might among the other's Units.' With 465.2.c.3: 'Units must have lethal damage assigned to them in full before damage is assigned to a different Unit. Example: If a player has 5 damage to distribute among four 3 Might units, they may not choose to assign 2 damage to one of the units and 1 damage to each of the remaining 3. They must assign at least 3 damage to one, and the remaining 2 to another.' A dead carrier takes its gear with it, because a detached gear appends nothing to it: 719.5: 'When a Top-Most Card changes zones from a board zone to a non-board zone, all Attached cards Detach from it, remaining in their current zones.' 718.3: 'While in this state, Abilities in the card’s Effect Text are appended to the Rules Text of the Top-Most Card.' (718.3 is a rule of an Attached card). Each Brambleback carries its own Boneshiver at 4 + 2 = 6, or 7 as an attacker with Purifier's [Assault]. Against a garrison of summed Might G with no damage marked and nothing else changing Might in the combat, the defender choosing the deaths that cost most, the Conquer channels 6 at G 1 to 5 (1 to 6 with Purifier), 2 at 6 to 11 (7 to 13), when one Brambleback dies, and 0 from 12 (14). Re-derived on 2026-10-26 from the rules above.
Prerequisites
- Both Bramblebacks present at the battlefield being conquered, each wearing a Boneshiver: 2 conquer effects x (1 + K) with K = 2 gives 6 channels off one Conquer, for 16 Energy and 4 Power in two bodies.
- The count is capped by the Rune Deck, not by the trigger count, and that is why the entry declares 6 and not more. 430.3 channels "as many as possible" and 161.2.a fixes the Rune Deck at exactly 12 cards, of which everything on your board is missing. Channelling 2 a turn (315.3.b) while paying this board's 16 Energy and 4 Power stands it up around turn 5, with about 5 runes in play and 7 left to draw from. A third Boneshiver would add three more trigger instances that 430.3 turns into nothing.
- Recycling a rune for Power returns it to the Rune Deck (161.2.b), not the Main Deck, so this board's 4 Power feeds the very deck the Boneshivers channel from.
- The runes arrive exhausted — 430.2's own worked example is literally "Channel 1 rune exhausted" — and ready at your next Awaken (315.1.b). The payoff is one turn late and then permanent: the board goes from roughly 5 runes to roughly 11, most of the Rune Deck, off a single Conquer.
- ENGINE and not INFINITE, for a reason that is written in the rules rather than assumed: the Rune Deck is 12 cards (161.2.a) and 430.3 stops there. Riders declared and NOT multiplied into the count: each Brambleback's own "When I conquer, [Buff] a friendly unit" is also a conquer effect and does fire three times, but it pays in Might; and SFD-030 Skyfall of Areion would make the Boneshiver trigger a hold effect too — it is not in uses and would not be multiplied there, because Brambleback multiplies conquer effects "for conquering here" and a Hold is not a conquer.
- Svellsongur cannot join this board: it is Calm and the identity is Fury/Body (103.1.b.2). Red Brambleback's [Accelerate] (1 Energy and 1 Fury Power more) has it enter ready, which is how it conquers the turn it lands.
Steps
- Play the two Red Bramblebacks, 4 Energy and 1 Fury Power each, paying [Accelerate] if you want them to act the same turn.
- Equip a Boneshiver to each: 3 Energy to play, then 1 Energy and 1 Body Power to attach. 434.1.c appends "When I conquer, channel 1 rune exhausted" to each Brambleback's Rules Text and 136.2.d makes that "I" the Brambleback.
- Take a battlefield you have not scored this turn with both of them present. At the Cleanup 348.2.a establishes Control and 348.2.a.1 makes it a Conquer (469.1).
- Both Boneshiver triggers fire and each Brambleback makes every conquer effect fire an additional time: 2 x 3 = 6 channels, which 430.3 caps at the runes still in the Rune Deck.
- The channelled runes sit exhausted until your next Awaken readies them (315.1.b). From then on they are Energy and Power like any other rune, and 167 empties the pool they fill at each Main Phase start as usual.
How it ends
one Conquer channels what is left of the Rune Deck, exhausted; bounded by the 12 runes of 161.2.a and by 430.3

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-05 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-05-equipment-lens-candidates.md), issue #41 candidate 4, REWRITTEN on its own arithmetic. The candidate declared 3 Boneshiver and 2 Red Brambleback for 9 channels, but 430.3 ("channel as many as possible") and 161.2.a ("Exactly 12 Rune cards") make the Rune Deck the complement of your board, and a board costing 20 Energy and 5 Power is not standing before about turn 5, when roughly 7 runes are left. The walk tabulates it turn by turn. Rebuilt at 2 and 2 for 6 channels — what the deck can actually pay — which also costs 4 Energy and 1 Power less, and putting the Boneshivers on the Bramblebacks themselves removes the separate carrier the candidate never named. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Stands on R1 = A with stacking, already ruled.
