Clash of Giants says 'two units', not 'a friendly and an enemy' — so both of them can be theirs

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Wait for two enemy units of comparable Might to be on the board.
  2. Cast Clash of Giants (6 Energy + 2 Body Power) and choose BOTH of them — the card places no restriction on sides.
  3. They deal damage equal to their Mights to each other (417.6.b.3: unit damage). 143.2.a kills each one whose Might the other's damage reaches.
  4. With an enemy unit now dead this turn, cast Spoils of War for 2 Energy + 1 Body Power instead of 4 + 1.
  5. Draw 2.

Per iteration

-2 cards, -8 Energy -3 Body Power, +2 cards, up to two enemy units dead and none of yours involved

How it ends

engine — two enemy bodies traded against each other and two cards drawn, for 8 Energy and 3 Body Power across two cards; nothing here scores

AUTHORED 2026-09-07, issue #173. UNL-110 Clash of Giants and OGN-144 Spoils of War were both in ZERO entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.1.b.3, 143.2.a, 166.2, 203.1, 356.4.b, 417.6.b.3, 466.1.a.1, 813.1.c.1 opened in the Core Rules file. Both cards legal in both formats; neither is Signature. No unruled reading. The finding is a wording comparison across the 417.6.b.3 family rather than a rule: five of its six members name a friendly unit and this one does not.
