Corrupted Dragon — the pool's only free mass evacuation, and it switches itself off at 5 points
Pieces
- Corrupted Dragon ×1
VEN-091 · engine · body
If your score is not within 3 points of the Victory Score, I enter ready. When I attack, you may move any number of enemy units here each with 5 Might or less to their base.
Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Body. The Dragon is mono-Body, so any legend with Body runs it.
- 10 Energy and 2 Body Power in one Main Phase.
Prerequisites
- THE READY CLAUSE, RESOLVED AGAINST THE RULE. 485.3 fixes 'Victory Score: 8' in a Duel, so 'not within 3 points of the Victory Score' is a score of 4 OR LESS. At 0-4 the Dragon enters ready — 143.4 says 'Units enter the Board exhausted' and 143.4.a allows exactly this kind of alteration — so it can pay its own Standard Move the same turn (144.2). At 5 or more it enters exhausted and does nothing that turn, and that is precisely the turn you most want it. Both halves are true and both are the entry's claim.
- THE EVACUATION IS FREE AND UNCAPPED: 'any number of enemy units here each with 5 Might or less', with no Energy or Power in the trigger. 'Here' is read on execution (359.3.f.2), so it is the Dragon's battlefield at the moment the trigger resolves, not at the moment it was placed.
- SAME SKELETON AS sinister-poro-attack-evacuate AND THE SAME TRAP CHECK. The Dragon attacks a battlefield that HAS a garrison, so 461 / 323.9 / 464.2.c.1 / 464.2.c.3 make the Attacker designation real and 383.4.e gives it a genuine attack trigger. 464.2.e puts it on the Combat Chain, it resolves, and 465.1 then fails: no damage (465.3). 466.1.a.2 does not recall the Dragon because no Defenders are present. 466.3.a, 466.5 and 466.5.d turn it into a Conquer.
- WHAT IT BUYS OVER SIMPLY WINNING THE FIGHT, since a 10 Might body beats most garrisons on damage anyway: no damage is dealt, so none of the opponent's units die and none of their death triggers fire; and it beats a garrison whose TOTAL Might exceeds 10, which a damage fight does not.
- THE ARITHMETIC WITH THE QUANTITIES DECLARED. One card, 10 Energy + 2 Body Power, once. Repeatable every turn the Awakening readies it (315.1.b). It clears a garrison of any size as long as EVERY body in it is 5 Might or less; a single defender of 6+ stays, 465.1 is met and the Dragon takes damage.
- AND THE BATTLEFIELD IT EMPTIES BECOMES 'OPEN' IN RIOT'S SENSE (a battlefield that was uncontrolled — the Spiritforged errata to Yone, Blademaster, 2026-01-14, in data/errata.json), which is what 323.6 does at the next Cleanup when the last defender has gone home. That is the state OGN-193 Miss Fortune, Buccaneer turns into a play permission under 355.2.b.
- A -MIGHT ANSWERS THE ENTRY'S OWN REFUTATION, AND THE DOMAIN DECIDES WHICH ONE (issue #97, walked 2026-09-06). The refutation above is that 'a single defender of 6+ stays'. Any UNFLOORED reduction takes that defender under the Dragon's gate of 5 - but a grep of every '-N Might' without a 'minimum of' clause shows the family is almost entirely MIND: SFD-066 Frigid Touch (-2, [Repeat]), UNL-063 Eclipse (E3, -4, [Reaction]), UNL-066 Moonlight Affliction (E7, -10), VEN-061 Decree of Insight (E1, -5 to an enemy BODY unit, and 'Ignore [Deflect] while paying this spell's cost'), plus SFD-067 Frostcoat Cub and UNL-065 Icevale Archer. AND THERE IS EXACTLY ONE MIND/BODY LEGEND IN THE POOL, VEN-149 Defender of Tomorrow, so the Mind answer is a forced shell, not a free option. The unforced answer is Chaos: UNL-138 The List (Chaos gear, E1, 'As you play this, name a tag. exhaust: Give a unit with the named tag -2 Might this turn'), unfloored, which takes a M6 or M7 defender to 4 or 5 - inside the gate - under any of the three Body/Chaos legends (OGN-267 Bounty Hunter, SFD-203 Battle Mistress, UNL-201 Voidreaver). Its price is that the tag is named as the gear is played, so it is a read on the opponent's deck rather than a universal answer. Nothing about this entry's class, quantities or steps changes.
Steps
- With a score of 4 or less, play Corrupted Dragon for 10 Energy + 2 Body Power. Its own clause makes it enter ready (143.4 / 143.4.a).
- Standard-Move it the same turn into a battlefield the opponent controls whose bodies are each 5 Might or less (144.4.a; cost 144.2). 450 and 190.3.a.1 apply Contested.
- The Cleanup stages the Combat (323.9) and opens it (323.13); 464.2.c.1/c.3 designate the Dragon as an Attacker.
- Its attack trigger goes on the Combat Chain (464.2.e) and moves every qualifying enemy unit there to their base, for no cost.
- 465.1 no longer holds, so no damage is dealt (465.3). 466.3.a wins the combat, 466.5 establishes Control and 466.5.d makes it a Conquer.
- The Dragon readies in each Awakening (315.1.b) and can do it again, until your score reaches 5 and the ready clause stops applying to new copies.
Per iteration
one Conquer per attack with the whole enemy garrison sent home and zero damage on either side, for 0 Energy on the trigger
How it ends
engine only — one point per attack, bounded by 470 and by the ready clause switching off at 5 points

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-movement-lens-candidates.md), issue #58 candidate 3. The candidate survives unchanged. The walk resolves the 'not within 3 points' clause against 485.3 arithmetically (score <= 4) and adds what the evacuation buys over a damage win, which the candidate left implicit. Ban check: VEN-091 carries no [BANNED marker. Arithmetic: 10 Energy + 2 Power once, 0 on the trigger, a garrison of any size at 5 Might or less. Trap check: the attack is legitimate (garrison present when Combat opens); no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no recall as a move; no Awaken Energy carried across a phase. Depends on no unruled reading. REFINED 2026-09-06 (issue #97, docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-might-buff-lens.md): one notable added naming the unfloored -Might cards that answer refutation (a), with the domain measurement the issue did not have - the family is Mind and the pool holds exactly one Mind/Body legend (VEN-149), so UNL-138 The List is the unforced Chaos answer. Citations opened: 143.2.b. No change to class, quantities or steps.
