Decree of Strength and Sabotage — three cards off the opponent's hand for 3 Energy and a Power
Pieces
- Decree of Strength ×2
VEN-085 · payoff · body
Choose an opponent. They reveal their hand and you choose a Mind (1 Mind Power) card from it. They recycle that card.
- Sabotage ×1
OGN-156 · payoff · body
Choose an opponent. They reveal their hand. Choose a non-unit card from it, and recycle that card.
Payoff
Deck
- Mono-Body: any Body legend.
Prerequisites
- Arithmetic against the declared quantities: 2 Decree + 1 Sabotage = 3 Energy + 1 Power for three cards off a hand, which is the source's own count on a five-card hand.
- BOTH ARE CONDITIONAL ON THE OTHER PLAYER'S HAND, in opposite directions: Decree only sees Mind cards, Sabotage only sees non-units. Against a deck with no Mind in its identity, Decree is a one-Energy look at the hand and nothing else - which the source says is worth it on its own, and which is a claim about a metagame, not about the cards.
- RECYCLE IS NOT DISCARD. 416.1 puts the card on the BOTTOM of the Main Deck, not in the trash. You are delaying it about forty turns, not removing it - and against a deck that draws itself out (Lux, the Jayce shells) that delay is worth much less.
- Distinct from ashe-retreat-hand-strip, which BANISHES and lives inside the Lux loop. This is a two-card mono-Body pair playable on turn two, with no engine behind it.
Steps
- Play Decree of Strength (1 Energy): the opponent reveals; recycle their best Mind card.
- Repeat with the second Decree.
- Play Sabotage (1 Energy + 1 Power): recycle their best non-unit card — the one Decree could not touch if it was not Mind.
How it ends
engine only — three cards sent to the bottom of the opponent's deck, and full information on the rest of their hand

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue46-mining-walk.md), issue #46 section 3. The arithmetic is the source's and it holds. What the walk added is the two limits it does not state: the two spells look at disjoint and conditional slices of the hand, and 416.1 makes this a delay rather than a removal, which matters against exactly the decks this catalogue is full of. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Depends on no unruled reading.
