Combo · ENGINE
"Then do this:" is a SEPARATE chain item, so there is a priority window between Dragon's Rage's move and its mutual kill - and that is where the pump goes
Pieces
- Dragon's Rage ×3
OGN-258 · payoff · calm/body
Move an enemy unit. Then do this: Choose another enemy unit at its destination. They deal damage equal to their Mights to each other.
- Discipline ×3
OGN-058 · engine · calm
[Reaction] (Play any time, even before spells and abilities resolve.) Give a unit +2 Might this turn. Draw 1.
- Blind Monk ×1
OGN-257 · legend · calm/body
1 Energy, Exhaust: Buff a friendly unit. (If it doesn't have a buff, it gets a +1 Might buff.)
Payoff
Deck
- OGN-258 Dragon's Rage is a Signature card tagged Lee Sin, so 103.2.d.2 forces the legend to a Lee Sin legend. Measured over data/cards.json there is exactly ONE name and two base codes: OGN-257 / OGN-304 Blind Monk (Calm/Body). This is a one-legend field.
- Discipline is mono-Calm and Dragon's Rage is Calm/Body, both inside the Blind Monk's two domains (103.1.b.2). Discipline is not a Signature card (checked against data/cards.json).
- Neither spell is banned or restricted in either format. 103.2.d.1 leaves room: Dragon's Rage is one of the at most three Signature cards.
- The line needs two enemy units whose Mights are within 2 of each other after the pump, and a legal destination for the moved one that the other already occupies.
Prerequisites
- THE FINDING: "THEN DO THIS:" IS A SEPARATE CHAIN ITEM. 387.1 - 'Reflexive Triggers can be recognized by the phrase "Do this:" or "Do one of the following:"' - and 388.1 - 'A new ability is created and added to the chain as a Pending Item.' Eight cards in the pool print the phrase (OGN-258, SFD-024, SFD-154, SFD-198, UNL-081, UNL-139, UNL-199, UNL-200) and rules 386-388 are cited by no entry and no synergy rule in this project.
- AND THAT MEANS A FULL PRIORITY WINDOW BETWEEN THE HALVES. 336.1 puts the new item through the same FEPR process; 337.1 finalizes it, which is where 'another enemy unit at its destination' is chosen; and 337.4 then says 'If, after finalizing the Chain Item, there are no more items on the chain to be Finalized, the controller of the next item on the chain gains Priority. Move to step 2: Execute.' 338.1.a admits a legally timed [Reaction] there. So the move has already resolved, the pair is already locked in, and BOTH players may act before the damage.
- WHICH IS EXACTLY WHERE DISCIPLINE GOES. The mutual damage is read at execution (359.3.f.2, whose worked example is Yasuo, Remorseful), so a +2 placed in the window is in the number. Their Might 6 and their Might 4: move the 4 next to the 6, let the reflexive item finalize on that pair, then Discipline the FOUR to 6. Each now deals 6 to the other and 143.2.a kills both. Pumping before Dragon's Rage instead would telegraph it while the pair is still unchosen; pumping after is a two-for-one they cannot un-choose.
- IT IS UNIT DAMAGE, NOT SPELL DAMAGE, AND THAT MATTERS TWICE. 417.6.b.3 - 'When a spell or ability specifies a Unit as the source of the Damage for the Deal action, it is not in addition to the spell or ability that instructed it' - with Challenge as its own worked example. So OGN-145 Unyielding Spirit's blanket 'prevent all spell and ability damage this turn' leaves this working, and 815.1's [Tank] ordering never applies because it is scoped to the combat damage step. 465.2.c.4's minimum-lethal cap does not apply either: each unit deals its whole Might.
- AND HALF OF IT IS THEIRS. 417.6.b.4 makes 'the controller of the source of a Deal action responsible for that Deal action', so the OPPONENT is the one dealing the damage their own unit deals - their 'when you deal damage' triggers fire, and any payoff they have for it pays them. State it and price it; it is the standing caveat on the whole mutual-damage family.
- [DEFLECT] IS PAID TWICE AND IS THE REAL COST. 809.1.c charges an extra rainbow 'for each time they choose', and Dragon's Rage chooses the moved unit AND the second unit, while Discipline chooses a third time. Against a garrison with Hexdrinker or Pouty Poro this is three rainbows on top of the printed costs. 355.10.d is no help - both choices here are chosen, not programmatically selected.
- THE MOVE HALF IS A REAL EVACUATION. 449 has spells cause Moves and 447.2 governs destinations, so Dragon's Rage can pull a body off a battlefield the opponent controls; if it was their last one there, 323.6 strips their Control at the next Cleanup. That is a second, independent use of the card and it is why it is worth three copies (103.2.b) even in hands where the pairing is not there.
- 387.1.a IS DEAD LETTER IN THIS POOL. It reads "'Do this' can be followed by 'N times.' The Reflexive Trigger will thus be added to the chain N times when its condition is met" - and no card in the pool prints it; all eight rows are a bare 'Then do this:'. Recorded so nobody hunts for a reflexive multiplier.
Steps
- Run OGN-257 (or OGN-304) Blind Monk as your legend - forced by Dragon's Rage's Lee Sin tag under 103.2.d.2 - and hold OGN-058 Discipline up at [Reaction] speed.
- Pick two enemy units within 2 Might of each other after a pump: say a Might 6 and a Might 4, the Might 4 somewhere the Might 6 is not.
- Play OGN-258 Dragon's Rage (4 Energy + 1 Power). Its first clause resolves: move the Might 4 enemy unit to the battlefield where the Might 6 stands (449, 447.2).
- 387.1 / 388.1 put the second clause on the Chain as a NEW Pending Item. 337.1 finalizes it and you choose the Might 6 as 'another enemy unit at its destination'.
- 337.4 hands out Priority and 338.1.a opens the window. Play OGN-058 Discipline (2 Energy) on the ENEMY Might 4 body - the card says 'a unit', not 'a friendly unit' - taking it to 6, and draw 1.
- The reflexive item resolves. Each deals damage equal to its Might to the other: 6 into a Might 6 body, both ways. 143.2.a kills both. 417.6.b.4 credits the damage their unit dealt to them.
- Three copies of each (103.2.b) are three such exchanges; where the pairing is absent, Dragon's Rage is still an evacuation that can strip a battlefield's Control under 323.6.
Per iteration
two enemy bodies for one Signature spell plus a cantrip, with the pump placed after the pair is locked in
How it ends
engine only - nothing here scores. Three copies of each spell (103.2.b), and every use needs two enemy bodies within 2 Might of each other after the pump; the [Deflect] tax is paid up to three times

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07 (issue #187, uncited-rules-blocks slice: 386-388 Reflexive Triggers). Rules 386, 387 and 388 are cited by no entry and no synergy rule, and OGN-258 Dragon's Rage was in ZERO entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. The legend field is ONE NAME because Dragon's Rage is Signature: OGN-257 / OGN-304 Blind Monk. Trap check: the pump must target an ENEMY unit, which Discipline's wording allows; the damage is unit damage so no Tank ordering and no minimum-lethal cap; half the exchange is credited to the opponent under 417.6.b.4 and the entry says so; [Deflect] is paid per choice; no unruled reading.
