Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains are Fury and Body: SFD-183 Purifier (Lucian), whose 'Your Equipment each give [Assault]' also puts the Dunebreaker at 10 on the attack.
Prerequisites
- THE SECOND POINT IS BY ABILITY, NOT BY SCORE, WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON IT STACKS. 469.2 Scores the Hold once and 470 caps Scoring at once per Battlefield per turn; Trinity Force says 'score 1 point', which 194.1.c makes a point gain by ability. Without R2 (= A) this entry is worth one point, not two.
- THE DUNEBREAKER'S TWO CLAUSES FIGHT EACH OTHER, and the entry says so rather than selling both. 'If you have two or fewer cards in your hand, I enter ready' wants an empty hand; 'When I hold, draw 2' fills it. The free ready is a one-off on the turn he lands, and every Hold after that makes it less likely for the next copy.
- The Equipment has to be ON him. 434.1.c appends Effect Text to the Top-Most Card only, so a Trinity Force sitting unattached does nothing, and 323.7 recalls unattached gear off battlefields at every Cleanup.
- At 7 Might, 9 with the Trinity Force's +2, he is the garrison as well as the payoff - which matters because the Hold has to survive the opponent's whole turn.
Steps
- Equip Trinity Force to the Dunebreaker (1 Body Power) and walk him to a battlefield; he enters exhausted (143.4) unless your hand is down to two cards.
- Take the battlefield: Establishing Control is a Conquer (466.5.d) and Scores.
- Survive the opponent's turn.
- Your Beginning Phase: 315.2.b.2 Holds it. The Hold Scores 1 point (469.2, 471.1).
- Both hold effects fire: Trinity Force pays a second point by ability (194.1.c, R2 = A) and the Dunebreaker draws 2.
- Repeat every turn he holds.
Per iteration
+2 points and +2 cards per turn from one battlefield; 0 Energy and 0 Power spent after setup
How it ends
engine only - 2 points and 2 cards a turn for as long as he holds

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue62-table-of-fourteen.md), issue #62 section 2.6. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; every rule opened in the rules file. The source's arithmetic is right and its own breakdown names the two sources of the two points correctly. What the walk adds is the tension between the Dunebreaker's own two clauses, which no source mentions and which decides how the card is actually played. Trap check: no attack designation needed; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; no recall; 143.4 delays the first Hold by a turn unless the hand condition is met. Depends on R2 (ruled A).
