Two Ezreal, Prodigy — [Accelerate] costs nothing and the body acts the turn it lands
Pieces
- Ezreal, Prodigy ×2
SFD-149 · enabler · chaos
When you play me, discard 1, then draw 2. Optional additional costs you pay cost 1 Energy or 1 Power of any domain less.
- Mister Root ×1
UNL-127 · payoff · chaos
[Accelerate] (You may pay 1 Energy + 1 Chaos Power as an additional cost to have me enter ready.) When I move to a battlefield, gain 2 XP.
Payoff
Deck
- Mono-Chaos: any legend with Chaos in its pair (103.1.b).
Prerequisites
- THE ONE FINE LEG: that two copies of the same passive discount stack. Nothing caps it. 356.4.a says discounts 'may be applied by the card being played or by any other card or effect', 356.4.c.1 lets several discounts hit one component 'in any order', and the Core Rules' redundancy clauses are all keyword-specific and object-scoped — grepping 'redundant' returns exactly seven hits (805.4 Accelerate, 810.2 Ganking, 811.4 Hidden, 815.2 Tank, 816.2 Temporary, 822.2 Ambush, 826.5 Backline). 805.4 is about a unit carrying the Accelerate KEYWORD twice, not about two Ezreals discounting one Accelerate cost. If Riot ever rules the discount unique, this entry falls and ezreal-marai-spire-free-repeat does not, because that one needs only one copy.
- 805.1.a.1 restricts the Power portion of an Accelerate cost to the unit's own domain, but that is a restriction on PAYING it, not on discounting it. 356.4.f allows an additional cost to be reduced to 0 outright, and 356.4.f.1 keeps it 'paid' regardless of how much was actually paid, so 805.2.b still generates the delayed replacement and the unit enters ready.
- WHAT IT IS NOT: 805.6.a says outright that 'Accelerate will not interact with, or trigger, abilities that are affected by units becoming ready', and 805.6 says the unit 'does not enter exhausted and then become ready'. Nothing built on a becomes-ready trigger can be attached to this.
- The other mono-Chaos Accelerate bodies are SFD-131 Ancient Warmonger (E5 M4, [Assault] equal to the enemy units here) and SFD-143 Sivir, Mercenary (E4 P1 M4, +2 Might and [Ganking] if you have spent 2 Power this turn). 26 printings in the pool carry [Accelerate]; any of them inside the legend's pair rides the same discount.
- Real price of admission: two Ezreal are E6 and 2 Power and two cards before this produces anything, though each one's own 'discard 1, then draw 2' is card-positive.
Steps
- Both Ezreal on the board.
- Play an [Accelerate] unit and declare the additional cost in step 2 of playing (356.2.b.1, 805.2 — it can only be paid as part of playing the card, 805.2.a).
- Ezreal #1 applies its discount to the Energy component and Ezreal #2 to the Power component (356.4.c, 356.4.c.1). Both reach 0 (356.6).
- 356.4.f.1 keeps the additional cost 'paid', so 805.2.b's delayed Replacement Effect fires and the unit enters ready instead of exhausted (143.4, 805.6).
- Mister Root Standard-Moves to a battlefield the same Main Phase (144.1.a) paying his own exhaust (144.2), and 'When I move to a battlefield, gain 2 XP' fires a full turn earlier than it otherwise could.
How it ends
engine only — every [Accelerate] unit in the deck enters ready for zero extra cost, so each one can move or pay an exhaust cost the turn it is played instead of the turn after

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-05 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-05-repeat-accelerate-add-candidates.md), issue #32. HOLDS AS WRITTEN — the only candidate of the six that needed no rewrite besides c6. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 805.1.a, 805.1.a.1, 805.2, 805.2.a, 805.2.b, 805.4, 805.6, 805.6.a, 356.4.a/c/c.1/f/f.1, 356.6, 143.4, 144.1.a, 144.2, 825.3.a and Tournament Rules 703.3.a.3 all opened and read. The stacking question was settled negatively rather than by assumption: the Core Rules contain NO general redundancy rule for repeated passives, only seven keyword-scoped clauses, none of which reaches a cost discount. Trap check: no [Repeat] involved so 820.1.c.3 is moot; no attack trigger; no [Temporary]; no recall; no rune recycled for Power; no battlefield used at all, so 485.4.a cannot bite; the Energy is spent in the Main Phase so 167 does not bite.
