Combo · ENGINE
Eight damage is the pool's largest single-target Deal, it prints no location clause, and 206 keeps the draw attached to the printed cost

Payoff
Deck
- ONE LEGEND: Final Spark is a Signature card tagged Lux, so 103.2.d.2 forces Lady of Luminosity - Starter (OGS-021), Mind/Order — the spell's own two domains, a matched pair.
- 103.2.d.1 caps the deck at three Signature cards, and three Final Sparks spend all of it.
- Eight Energy in a single Main Phase, which 161.2.a's twelve-rune deck reaches without recycling anything, since the spell has no Power cost at all.
Prerequisites
- IT REACHES A BASE, AND THAT CORRECTS THE SHAPE OF A CLAIM THE PROJECT ALREADY CARRIES. The catalogue records that exactly three cards NAME a unit 'in a base' as a target (`SFD-077 Rocket Barrage`, `SFD-116 Yone, Blademaster`, `UNL-182 Curtain Call`). Naming is not the only route: swept over the corpus, six cards print damage to 'a unit' with NEITHER 'at a battlefield' NOR 'here' — `OGN-029 Falling Star`, `OGN-248 Icathian Rain`, `OGN-252 Super Mega Death Rocket!`, `OGS-022 Final Spark`, `UNL-020 Dancing Grenade`, `UNL-026 Xerath, Freed` — and an unrestricted 'a unit' reaches a base as surely as a clause that says so. So the zone `OGN-070 Mageseeker Warden` manufactures is answerable by nine cards, not three, and Final Spark is the biggest of them.
- EIGHT IS THE CEILING OF THE WHOLE FORM. Swept over every 'Deal N to a unit' and 'Deal N to an enemy unit' instruction in the corpus, the values printed are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 — and the 8 is this card alone. It kills anything in the pool that has not been buffed past 8 Might.
- 206 IS WHY THE DRAW CANNOT BE SWITCHED OFF. A 'costs N or more' check reads the PRINTED cost, and Riot's own worked example for that paragraph is a Lux card. So every discount in the deck lowers what you pay and leaves the legend's threshold satisfied — the opposite of the 'if you SPENT N or more' family (166.2, 203.1, 356.4.b), which a discount silently disarms. Building around this legend means preferring `costs` cards and distrusting `spent` ones.
- AND IT IS AN [ACTION], SO THE 8 IS AIMED LATE. 806.1.b lets it be played 'during Showdowns, even when it is not the Controlling player's turn', which means the target is chosen after blocks and after the opponent has committed — and 465 is not involved at all, so 465.2.c.4's cap on assigning more than lethal never applies and overkill is legal.
- PRICE IT HONESTLY: 8 Energy is most of a turn. 161.2.a fixes the Rune Deck at 'Exactly 12 Rune cards' and 164.2.a costs each rune its own exhaust, so this is affordable from the turn the eighth rune is channelled — and because the card asks for no Power, none of those runes has to be recycled (164.2.b), leaving the rest of the turn's Power intact.
- THE DRAW IS ONE PER SPELL, NOT ONE PER 5 ENERGY. The legend's trigger is a flat 'draw 1' on each qualifying spell, so three cheap 5-Energy spells beat one 15-Energy one — a note for anyone building the shell around Final Spark rather than the other way round.
Steps
- Channel to eight runes. Nothing else in this line costs Power, so all twelve stay available for the rest of the deck.
- Hold Final Spark. It is an [Action], so it can be played on your own turn or inside any Showdown (806.1.b).
- Play it (8 Energy): deal 8 to a unit — anywhere, including a unit sitting in a base, since the card prints no location clause.
- Its printed cost of 8 is at least 5, so Lady of Luminosity's trigger fires and you draw 1 (206: the check reads the printed cost, whatever you actually paid).
- Three copies (103.2.b) is three of these a game.
Per iteration
8 damage to any unit on the board and one card drawn, for 8 Energy and no Power
How it ends
engine — any single unit in the pool up to 8 Might killed at [Action] speed, in any zone, plus a card, three times a game; nothing here scores

OGS-022 Final Spark was in ZERO entries; OGS-021 Lady of Luminosity appears in `lady-luminosity-loop-comet`, a six-card INFINITE on a completely different card set. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.2.b, 103.2.d.1, 103.2.d.2, 143.2.a, 161.2.a, 164.2.a, 164.2.b, 166.2, 203.1, 206, 355.2.a, 356.4.b, 465.2.c.4, 806.1.b opened in the Core Rules file. Both sweeps behind the first two notables (the six no-location damage cards; the printed values of every single-target Deal) were run over the whole corpus and their members are named. No unruled reading.
