Payoff
Deck
- Legend's Domain Identity includes Order (103.1.b.3). Mono-Order works, which is the whole point of this entry.
- A battlefield you control to hide at, and Renata on the board when the flip resolves.
Prerequisites
- THREE PER GAME. 103.2.b caps Guards! at 3 copies and mono-Order has NO recursion of hidden cards — OGN-264 Guerilla Warfare is Mind/Chaos and 103.1.b.4 keeps it out. Order's five [Hidden] names are OGN-213, OGN-220, SFD-154, VEN-117 and VEN-135, and only Guards! makes a token.
- This is deliberately the mono-Order floor of black-market-broker-bandle-tree-gold: same payload half, no Black Market Broker, no Chaos requirement, so it fits decks that entry cannot.
- 323.7 IS THE REAL PRICE OF HIDING. A Cleanup step 5 reads "Remove all Hidden cards from all Battlefields that are not controlled by the same player and place them in their owner's Trash", and 466.5.c repeats it the instant somebody establishes Control. Losing the battlefield does not put the hidden card on hold — it TRASHES it.
- The Sand Soldier is not [Temporary], so it stays; 2 Might is still 2 Might, and the value here is that it arrives READY at a battlefield for a rainbow Power paid a turn earlier, against E3 + 1 Order Power from hand.
- 811.1.b's window is the catch: the flip is free only from the turn AFTER you hid it, and it is the BASE cost that is ignored, not additional costs.
Steps
- Renata Glasc, Industrialist on the board.
- In an Open State on your turn, hide Guards! at a battlefield you control for 1 rainbow Power (811.1.b).
- From the next turn on, play it from facedown for 0, ignoring its base cost.
- 811.1.d.3 puts the 2 Might Sand Soldier token at that same battlefield.
- Renata makes the token enter ready (R25 = A), so the 'You may pay 1 Order Power to ready it' clause is skipped: a ready body for a Power paid last turn.
Per iteration
one ready 2 Might Sand Soldier at a battlefield per hidden Guards!, for 1 rainbow Power paid the turn before
How it ends
engine only — three copies of Guards! (103.2.b) with no mono-Order recursion of hidden cards, so three ready bodies a game

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-05 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-05-hidden-ambush-candidates.md), issue #40 candidate 6. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Kept as a separate entry from black-market-broker-bandle-tree-gold because it needs no Chaos and therefore runs under legends that entry cannot, but the ceiling is stated plainly: three uses a game. Stands on R25 = A only, and on the weakest form of it — there is no printed 'exhausted' to override, only 143.4's default.
