Prerequisites

Bodies no card supplies

Reveal Keeper of Masks from Hidden for 0 Energy, playing it to the battlefield you control: it plus two Reflection copies join the unit already there. Four units at battlefields

Steps

  1. Play Ekko, Recurrent (5 Energy + 1 Mind Power).
  2. Play Gutter Palace (4 Energy). Gear enters ready (143.4), but its adjust ability is not needed here.
  3. Malzahar: kill Ekko, exhaust, Add 2 Power. Ekko's Deathknell recycles him and readies your runes.
  4. Play Time Warp (10 Energy + 4 Power): you get the next turn with no opponent turn in between.
  5. Play Invert Timelines (3 Energy + 1 Power): discard your hand, draw 4. Hand is now exactly 4.
  6. Reveal Keeper of Masks from Hidden for 0 Energy, playing it to the battlefield you control: it plus two Reflection copies join the unit already there. Four units at battlefields.
  7. Pass. At the start of your extra turn's Beginning Phase, order the win check ahead of the three Temporary kills: you win (195).

How it ends

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

The community's contribution here is the two tuners the bare gutter-palace entry lacked: Invert Timelines (OGN-201) fixes the hand at exactly 4 in one card, and Keeper of Masks (UNL-081) puts three bodies at one battlefield in one card. HAND-WALKED 2026-09-04 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-reddit-mining-and-gutter-palace.md). Three checks carry it. (1) The Reflections count even at 0 Might: 187.6 defines them as domainless unit tokens with 0 Might, they are units, and the card counts units. They stay at 0 because 477.1.b.1.a lists the copyable traits - Name, Super Type, Type, Tags, Cost, Domain, Rules Text - and Might is not among them, which is R27, already retired on that same list. (2) No hidden loop: UNL-T06 prints "I don't get that card's play effects", so the copies never re-fire "play two Reflection unit tokens". (3) The copies DO inherit [Temporary], because 477.1.b.1.a lists "Rules Text" among the copyable traits and 816.3 makes "whether or not a permanent has Temporary" a characteristic other effects may read. CORRECTED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-mind-units-lens.md, issue #150): this sentence used to credit 477.1.b.1.b's worked example with saying so outright ("two of which are token Copies with Temporary"), and it does not — the card copied there is SFD-155 Honest Broker, which has no [Temporary] at all, and the keyword in that example comes from UNL-199 Deceiver's own "Give it [Temporary]". The conclusion is unchanged and stands on 477.1.b.1.a alone - and it does not matter, because 816.1 makes Temporary a Triggered Ability, 816.1.c fires it at the same instant as the win check, and 383.3.d gives the controller of both the ordering. Burn Out cannot beat it either: the win check is the Beginning Step (315.2.a) and the Draw Phase is 315.4. The line loses to any removal held for the single Open State inside your own turn - the source says as much - so it is a real ALT_WIN, not a consistent one. PLAYED AT A REGIONAL: the four-units-plus-Time-Warp finish is not theorycraft. The RQ Vancouver report above describes exactly it, and the thread carries witnesses and a tournament opponent. That deck is a different build - Jhin, and it names Hextech Anomaly (SFD-083) as the rune-to-Energy engine in place of Ekko - so it corroborates the finish, not this entry's specific assembly. One thing in that report does not resolve: its author says he won "through an Invert that discarded 13 of my cards", but the pool's only Invert is Invert Timelines (OGN-201, Chaos) and the pool's only Jhin legend is Virtuoso (UNL-181, Fury/Mind), and Chaos is not a subset of Fury/Mind. Left as an open discrepancy rather than guessed at; the citation above is only for the domain-neutral half.
