Combo · ENGINE
Order's only removal that ignores Might entirely - it is priced in a status, and the status lasts one turn
Pieces
- Solari Chief ×3
OGN-225 · payoff · order
When you play me, choose an enemy unit. If it is stunned, kill it. Otherwise, stun it. (It doesn't deal combat damage this turn.)
- Heroic Charge ×3
UNL-155 · enabler · order
[Action] (Play on your turn or in showdowns.) Give a friendly unit +1 Might this turn and [Stun] an enemy unit at its location. (A stunned unit doesn't deal combat damage this turn.)
Payoff
Deck
- Both cards are mono-Order, so 103.1.b.3 admits any legend with Order in its pair: SFD-201/SFD-249 Chem-Baroness, UNL-199/UNL-235 Deceiver, SFD-197/SFD-247 Emperor of the Sands, VEN-147/VEN-193 Eye of Twilight, SFD-205/SFD-251 Grand Duelist, UNL-195/UNL-233 Green Father, OGN-253/OGN-302 Hand of Noxus, VEN-155/VEN-197 Heart of the Tempest, OGN-265/OGN-308 Herald of the Arcane, UNL-203/UNL-237 Keeper of the Hammer, OGS-021 Lady of Luminosity - Starter, VEN-153/VEN-196 Matriarch of War, OGS-023 Might of Demacia - Starter, UNL-187/UNL-229 Piltover Enforcer, OGN-261/OGN-306 Radiant Dawn, OGN-269/OGN-310 The Boss, SFD-187/SFD-243 Void Burrower.
- Neither card is banned or restricted in either format, and neither is a Signature card.
- A friendly unit standing at the target's battlefield, because Heroic Charge stuns 'an enemy unit at its location' - the location of the friendly unit it pumped. Solari Chief's own choose carries no such restriction.
Prerequisites
- WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM EVERY OTHER REMOVAL IN THE DOMAIN. Order's other kills are priced by Might or by cost - SFD-158 Sandshifter kills at '3 :rb_might: or less', VEN-127 Lacerate the same, OGN-229 Vengeance is E4 + 2 Power for an untargeted-in-name-only 'Kill a unit', OGS-012 Blast of Power E6 + 1 Power at a battlefield. Solari Chief's kill reads a STATUS, so the target's Might never enters the calculation. It is the same shape as a kill keyed on the word 'damaged': the threshold is in the enabler, not in the kill.
- THE STUN DOES NOT MAKE THE BODY EASIER TO KILL, AND THAT IS THE POINT OF PAIRING IT WITH A KILL BY EFFECT. 423.1.b: 'A Stunned Unit does not contribute its might to damage in the combat damage step.' 423.1.c: 'A Stunned Unit must still have damage applied to it equal to, or greater than, its full might value to be killed.' So a stun buys survival in combat and never cheapens removal by damage - which is exactly why the payoff has to be an effect that kills outright.
- THE ONE-TURN WINDOW, AND WHY A SECOND CHIEF ALSO WORKS. 423.1.a.2: 'Stunned Units lose the Stunned status during step 3d of the end of turn cleanup', so the stun and the kill are the SAME turn - Heroic Charge is [Action] (806.1.b: 'permission to be played or activated during' your turn or a showdown) and the Chief is a Main Phase play. 423.1.a.1: 'A Stunned Unit can not be Stunned again', so a second Solari Chief aimed at an already-stunned body takes the kill branch of its own text - two Chiefs are a complete kill with no spell at all, for E10 + 2 Power against the pairing's E8 + 1 Power. A third Chief on the same target does nothing.
- BOTH HALVES CHOOSE, SO BOTH PAY THE DEFLECT TAX. 809.1.c prices [Deflect] as extra Power 'for each time they choose', and 809.1.c.1 lets the defender's Power be any Domain - so an Empowered VEN-122 Solari Sunhawk (see solari-sunhawk-eye-of-herald-deflect-carrier) costs 2 more on the Heroic Charge AND 2 more on the Chief. This line goes through a big body and stalls against a Deflect one; that is the honest trade against a Might-gated removal, which usually does not choose at all (355.10.d).
- A THIRD ROUTE, AND WHY IT IS NOT IN uses[]. OGN-262 Zenith Blade (Calm/Order, E3 + 2 Power, [Action]) reads 'Stun an enemy unit at a battlefield. You may move a friendly unit to that enemy unit's battlefield' - it solves Heroic Charge's 'at its location' problem by bringing the body along, at the price of 2 Power and a Calm/Order legend. It is an alternative enabler, not a sixth card in this line, so it is stated here rather than priced by the matcher.
- THE LEDGER. 3 Energy for Heroic Charge, 5 Energy + 1 Power for Solari Chief: 8 Energy + 1 Power for an unconditional kill of any single unit, plus a 4 Might body left on the board and +1 Might on one of yours for the turn. Three of each by 103.2.b, so three such kills a game before you are down to the two-Chief version.
- WHAT IT IS NOT. Nothing here scores, and no stun engine in this pool is unbounded: 423.1.a.1 forbids re-stunning and 423.1.a.2 clears the status every cleanup, so the ceiling is copies.
Bodies no card supplies
Have a friendly unit at the battlefield holding the body you want gone - Heroic Charge stuns 'at its location', which is the location of the unit you pump
Steps
- Have a friendly unit at the battlefield holding the body you want gone - Heroic Charge stuns 'at its location', which is the location of the unit you pump.
- Play Heroic Charge (3 Energy). Its [Action] permission (806.1.b) lets you do this in your Main Phase or inside a showdown; the target is stunned and one of yours gets +1 Might for the turn.
- In the same turn - 423.1.a.2 clears the status at the end-of-turn cleanup - play Solari Chief (5 Energy + 1 Power) and choose the stunned body. Its own text takes the kill branch, whatever the body's Might.
- If you have no Heroic Charge, two Solari Chiefs do the same job: the first finds the target unstunned and stuns it, the second finds it stunned and kills it (423.1.a.1 means the second cannot re-stun, so the kill branch is the only one left).
- Repeat up to three times a game (103.2.b).
Per iteration
one enemy unit of any Might removed for 8 Energy + 1 Power, leaving a 4 Might body behind
How it ends
engine only - three removals by 103.2.b and no more, since 423.1.a.1 forbids re-stunning and 423.1.a.2 clears the status at every end-of-turn cleanup; nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07 (issue #180, batch 5). The first entry to use UNL-155 Heroic Charge. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. The stun payoffs were swept with `grep -in stunned data/corpus_flat.txt`: OGN-072 Solari Shrine (Calm, a draw), OGN-079 Leona, Zealot (Calm, -8 Might to stunned units here), OGN-225 Solari Chief (Order, the kill), UNL-035 Monch (Calm, a discount) - Solari Chief is the only one in Order and the only one that removes. Ban check: neither card is banned or restricted; neither is a Signature card. No unruled reading.
