Combo · ENGINE
Iascylla drags an enemy body onto your battlefield on YOUR turn, which makes THEM the attacker — the only way to fire a defend trigger on a schedule
Pieces
- Iascylla ×1
UNL-050 · engine · calm
When I hold, at the start of your next Main Phase, you may move an enemy unit to this battlefield.
- Teemo, Strategist ×3
OGN-121 · payoff · mind
[Hidden] (Hide now for 1 Power of any domain to react with later for 0 Energy.) When I defend, choose an enemy unit here and reveal the top 5 cards of your Main Deck. Deal 1 to that unit for each card with [Hidden] revealed this way, then recycle the revealed cards.
Payoff
Deck
- Iascylla is mono-Calm and Teemo, Strategist mono-Mind, so 103.1.b.1 needs a Calm/Mind legend: OGN-255 / OGN-303 Nine-Tailed Fox, SFD-189 / SFD-244 Fire Below the Mountain, UNL-189 / UNL-230 Bashful Bloom, or VEN-145 / VEN-192 Curator of the Sands. Neither card is Signature.
Prerequisites
- THE MOVED UNIT'S CONTROLLER IS THE ATTACKER, WHOEVER CAUSED THE MOVE. 190.3.a.1 applies Contested to units moving to a battlefield, and 464.2.c.1 makes the Attacker 'the player whose unit(s) applied the Contested status' — so dragging an ENEMY body onto a battlefield YOU control makes THEM the attacker on YOUR turn, and every unit of yours there takes the Defender designation (464.2.c.3).
- WHICH IS THE ONLY WAY TO PUT A DEFEND TRIGGER ON A SCHEDULE. Teemo, Strategist's 'When I defend' otherwise fires when the opponent chooses to attack into him, which against a wall is never. Here it fires on your own turn, every turn, for no card and no Energy.
- AND THE DEFENDER'S TRIGGERS RESOLVE FIRST. 464.2.e.1 places the Attacking player's triggers on the Combat Chain first and 'the Defending Player' last; 340.1 resolves the newest Finalized item first. So Teemo's reveal-and-burn resolves before anything the attacker put up.
- THE REVEAL IS FREE OF BURN OUT. 431.1.c: an instruction to look at or reveal past the end of the Main Deck 'looks at or Reveals as many as possible, but does not Burn Out', and 431.1.c.1 extends that to the zone change that follows — so five reveals a turn are safe even in a deck run to empty, and 416.1 recycles them to the bottom.
- THE DAMAGE SCALES WITH [HIDDEN] DENSITY, AND THAT IS A DECKBUILDING NUMBER, NOT A COMBO ONE: 1 damage per [Hidden] card among the five revealed. The pool has 15 [Hidden] units and 23 [Hidden] spells, so a list built for it reveals two or three on a good turn.
- THE RISK IS THAT A COMBAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS. 323.9 stages a Combat wherever units of opposing players are present and 323.13 opens it, so the dragged body fights: 465.2.c has each side assign damage equal to their summed Might. Iascylla at Might 6 plus a Teemo at 2 is the floor of what has to be standing there, and 466.1.a.2 recalls the attacker home if defenders remain.
- AND YOU GAIN NO POINT FROM IT. 464.2.c.2 with 323.11.a make you the player who already controls the battlefield, and 466.5 establishes Control only 'if they didn't already control this Battlefield' — a Defender never Conquers. What the line produces is a free trigger and a body pulled out of the opponent's own garrison.
- IASCYLLA'S DELAY IS ALSO ITS PROTECTION: the drag resolves at 316.4, after 316.3 has emptied the Rune Pool, so nothing about it competes with your own Main-Phase mana.
- 424.1.a.2 is the MECHANISM under the 431.1.c protection this entry already cites, and the entry carries the consequence without it: "Cards remain in the zone they are being Revealed from." Riot's own example is that a card Revealed from the top of the Main Deck "is still the top card of that player's Main Deck." So revealing can never Burn Out because NOTHING LEAVES THE DECK, which 424.1.a states as the general fact: "Revealed is a temporary state and is not a zone." Same shape this file records for 355.7 against 355.10.d and 811.6 against the tail of 811.1.b.
Steps
- Get Iascylla and Teemo, Strategist onto a battlefield you control and hold it.
- At your Beginning Phase, 315.2.b.2 Holds the battlefield and Iascylla's trigger arms a delayed effect for the start of your next Main Phase.
- At 316.4, that effect resolves: move an enemy unit to this battlefield. 190.3.a.1 applies Contested and 464.2.c.1 makes its controller the Attacker.
- 323.9 stages the Combat and 323.13 opens it. 464.2.c.3 designates your bodies as Defenders, so Teemo's trigger becomes Pending.
- 464.2.e.1 puts the Defending player's triggers on the Chain last, and 340.1 resolves the newest first — so Teemo resolves before the attacker's.
- Choose the dragged unit, reveal the top 5 of your Main Deck and deal it 1 for each [Hidden] card revealed; 416.1 recycles all five to the bottom and 431.1.c means none of it can Burn you Out.
- The damage step follows (465.2.c). Survivors are healed at the Combat Cleanup (143.3.b.2) and 466.1.a.2 sends the attacker home if your defenders are still there; next Beginning Phase the Hold arms the drag again.
How it ends
engine only — one forced defend per turn, forever, worth five reveals and 1 damage per [Hidden] card among them; a Defender never Conquers (466.5), so nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07, issue #170, from the Core-Rules-named sweep; UNL-050 Iascylla was in zero entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. The content is that a defend trigger is normally at the opponent's discretion and Iascylla is the pool's only free, repeating way to schedule one — the drag makes the opponent the Attacker on your own turn (190.3.a.1 + 464.2.c.1), which is the #58 finding used constructively rather than as a warning. Trap check: the delayed effect is placed at 316.4 and explicitly distinguished from the Hold-trigger no-op; the combat is stated to actually happen, with 465.2.c and the Might floor named as the risk; 466.5 with 464.2.c.2 is cited so no point is claimed; 431.1.c is cited so the five reveals are safe; the damage is stated as a deckbuilding number rather than a fixed figure.
