Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Play the three Ivern, Friend to All to the same battlefield, choosing three DIFFERENT tags from Bird, Cat, Dog, Poro as each is played.
  2. Have a unit carrying the fourth tag anywhere on your board — Ultrasoft Poro, or any Calm/Order body with the missing tag.
  3. Attach Svellsongur A, B and C to ONE of the Ivern, in that order. 434.1.c gives the Top-Most Card ALL the Effect Text of ALL three, 477.2.c appends in Layer 2, 479.1 finds no dependency, 480.3 orders by Timestamp: 2, then 4, then 8 instances on that body (R6 = A).
  4. Establish Control of the battlefield and survive to your Beginning Phase.
  5. Scoring Step (315.2.b.2): you Hold. 1 point from the Score, then ten instances of 'score 1 point if your units have all of the following tags among them' — the tag clause is part of the EFFECT and is checked as each instance RESOLVES, not when the triggers are placed (383.2.a.1 reaches only a conditional sitting immediately after the trigger; Ivern's sits after 'score 1 point', which is the rule's Loose Cannon example) - and it finds all four tags. Eleven points.

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

AUTHORED 2026-09-06 from issue #160. UNL-177 is catalogued twice under blue-sentinel-hold and was an uncatalogued partner of svellsongur-copy. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 137.3, 194.1.c, 383.2.a.1, 383.4.d.2.a, 434.1.c, 465.2.c, 469.2, 470, 471.1, 471.1.a.1, 471.2.b, 476.1, 477.2.c, 479.1 and 480.3 opened in the Core Rules file. Stands on R6 = A and R2 = A; no new reading. The formula was checked against its own declared quantities before authoring — 1 + (8 + 1 + 1) = 11, which clears the Victory Score of 8 (194.3) in one scoring event and so is BURST, but NOT in 2v2, where 489.3 sets it at 11 and this reaches it exactly (so it wins there too, with zero margin). Trap check: a Hold needs no Attacker designation (807.1.d / 383.4.e / 461); no token; nothing recycled; no [Temporary]; no [Repeat]; nothing added in Awaken so 167 does not bite; the [Equip] costs and the Power are counted.
