Jax, Unrelenting draws a card a turn off the Forge's free attach — one Energy and one Body Power, no cards spent
Pieces
- Jax, Unrelenting ×1
SFD-119 · payoff · body
[Weaponmaster] (When you play me, you may [Equip] one of your Equipment to me for 1 Power of any domain less, even if it's already attached.) When you attach an Equipment to me, you may pay 1 Energy to draw 1.
- Forge of the Fluft ×1
SFD-208 · battlefield
While you control this battlefield, friendly legends have "Exhaust: Attach an Equipment you control to a unit you control."
- Warmog's Armor ×1
SFD-108 · resource · body
[Equip] 1 Body Power (1 Body Power: Attach this to a unit you control.)
When I conquer, buff me. (If I don't have a buff, I get a +1 Might buff.)
Payoff
Deck
- Any Body legend: Jax, Unrelenting and Warmog's Armor are both mono-Body (103.1.b.3) and Forge of the Fluft is colourless. Neither is a Signature card, so 103.2.d.2 forces no legend.
- None of the three is banned or restricted in either format.
- Forge of the Fluft is one of your three battlefields (485.4.a, 485.5) and you must CONTROL it — 190.1 — because the grant reads 'While you control this battlefield'.
Prerequisites
- THE SHUTTLE, AND WHY IT NEEDS TWO HOSTS. 434.1.g: 'Attaching a card to its current Top-Most Card will not have any effect', with 434.1.h saying the same for an instruction. So Warmog's cannot be re-attached to Jax for a second draw; 434.1.f ('Attaching a card to a new Top-Most Card will cause it to Detach') is what takes it off him when you attach it elsewhere. Steady state per turn: the free legend attach moves it to a spare body, then Warmog's own [Equip] (one Body rune) brings it back onto Jax and the draw trigger fires.
- THE DRAW IS UNCAPPED PER ATTACH, WHICH IS THE DIFFERENCE FROM APHELIOS. Aphelios's payoff is 'choose one that hasn't been chosen this turn' — three modes and no more. Jax's is 'you may pay :rb_energy_1: to draw 1' with no such clause and no exhaust, so every attach that lands on him is another card for 1 Energy. The ceiling is the Power for extra [Equip] activations, not the card.
- ARITHMETIC WITH THE QUANTITIES DECLARED. Steady state: 1 Body Power (the paid leg) + 1 Energy (the draw) = one card a turn, forever, with no card spent. A second card in the same turn costs another 1 Power + 1 Energy, and so on; 315.3.b's two free channels a turn plus 164.2.b's no-exhaust recycle are what those Power payments come out of (the free floor of #44).
- BURN OUT IS THE REAL CEILING, AND IT IS FAR AWAY BUT REAL. 431.1.a: drawing past the last card of the Main Deck is a Burn Out and a point for the opponent (194.1.d). Two cards a turn (the Draw Phase plus this) through a 39-card deck (103.2.a.1) is roughly twenty turns; the draw is a 'you may', so it can be declined.
- JAX'S OWN [Weaponmaster] IS A SEPARATE, ONE-OFF DISCOUNT. 'When you play me, you may [Equip] one of your Equipment to me for :rb_rune_rainbow: less, even if it's already attached.' That is one free attach at the moment he is played — and it does fire his own draw trigger, because it lands on a new host. It is not the engine; the Forge is.
- THE LEGEND'S EXHAUST IS THE SCARCE PART. 107.4.c makes the legend a Game Object so the granted ability exists; 315.1.b readies it each Awaken. One free attach a turn, and a legend whose own exhaust ability you wanted to use cannot do both.
Steps
- Bring Forge of the Fluft as one of your three battlefields and walk a body there to establish Control (190.1).
- Play Warmog's Armor (1 Energy) and Jax, Unrelenting (4 Energy + 1 Body Power); his [Weaponmaster] attaches the Armor to him for one rainbow less as he enters, which is already one draw.
- Each turn, exhaust your legend for the Forge's ability and attach the Armor to a spare unit — 434.1.f detaches it from Jax, and no trigger fires.
- Pay Warmog's own [Equip] cost of one Body rune and attach it back to Jax. The attach lands on him, so his trigger fires.
- Pay 1 Energy and draw 1.
- The legend readies at the next Awakening Phase (315.1.b); repeat every turn, and buy extra draws in the same turn with extra [Equip] payments if the Power is spare.
Per iteration
one card a turn for 1 Energy and 1 Body Power, with no card spent
How it ends
engine only — one card a turn in the steady state, more only for more Power; the ceiling is Burn Out (431.1.a) at roughly twenty turns, and nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07 (issue #168, matrix group 22, attach-equip x SFD-119). Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 103.1.b.3, 103.2.a.1, 103.2.d.2, 107.4.c, 164.2.b, 190.1, 194.1.d, 315.1.b, 315.3.b, 431.1.a, 434.1.f, 434.1.g, 434.1.h, 485.4.a, 485.5, 818.1. Distinct from jax-angle-shot-attach-draw, whose attach source is a spell and therefore bounded at three copies: this repeats every turn for no card, and the entry states the ceiling (Burn Out) rather than claiming an unbounded draw. Companion to aphelios-forge-of-the-fluft-attach-cycle, which uses the same Forge shuttle on a payoff that IS capped per turn. Ban check: none of the three is banned or restricted. Trap check: 434.1.g stops a re-attach to the same host; the Forge needs Control of the battlefield; the attach is an Activated Ability, not a play (818.1); the draw's ceiling is 431.1.a and it is a 'you may'; no unruled reading.
