Payoff
Deck
- Any legend with Chaos among its two domains (103.1.b.3) — 16 names: Loose Cannon (OGN-251), Unforgiven (OGN-259), Swift Scout (OGN-263), Bounty Hunter (OGN-267), Dark Child - Starter (OGS-017), Glorious Executioner (SFD-185), Blade Dancer (SFD-195), Prodigal Explorer (SFD-199), Battle Mistress (SFD-203), Bloodharbor Ripper (UNL-185), Gloomist (UNL-193), Scorn of the Moon (UNL-197), Voidreaver (UNL-201), Master of Shadows (VEN-143), Soul's Reflection (VEN-151), Heart of the Tempest (VEN-155).
- One of the three battlefields in the deck is the Warrens; 485.5 selects one of the three at random, so it is on the table one time in three.
Prerequisites
- THE POINT IS WHERE THE CARD LIVES, NOT WHAT IT DOES. Battlefields are a separate three-card zone (103.4.c, and Tournament Rules 402.1 'exactly 3 battlefields each with a unique name'), so the Warrens is the only one of Jinx's twenty-one partners that produces a discard event without occupying a Main Deck slot. It is also card-neutral — 'discard 1, then draw 1' — so it feeds her for free, on an event a Jinx deck is already trying to cause.
- THE 'YOU' QUESTION IS SETTLED BY THE ORDER OF 466.5, NOT BY A READING. 190.6.d blanks a battlefield's abilities only while it has no Controller. Here the trigger is 'When you conquer here', and 466.5 has the player with units remaining Establish Control FIRST, with 466.5.d then saying 'Establishing Control results in a Conquer if that player has not yet scored this Battlefield this turn' and 469.1.b confirming 'A player will gain control of a Battlefield after establishing Control'. So at the instant the trigger condition is checked you are already the Controller and 190.6.d never bites. A battlefield you bring starts switched off (190.1); this one switches itself on with the very event it pays for.
- ONE TRIGGER PER TURN, MAXIMUM, AND THE CEILING IS A RULE NOT A HABIT. 470: 'A player may only Score, from either method, once per Battlefield per turn', and 485.4 puts two battlefields on a Duel table. The Warrens is one of those two, so it can produce at most one conquer and therefore one Jinx trigger per turn. Do not price it as a repeatable engine at two or three a turn.
- 103.4.c forbids stacking copies ('Cannot include more than one of a Battlefield of the same name'), so there is no way to raise the odds of drawing it beyond one in three, and 485.5's 'randomly selects' is what makes it odds rather than a choice — 486.5 says only 'selects', so the 1v1 Match format differs here and the entry states both.
- What Jinx gets: one ready and +1 Might this turn, at the moment you conquer — which is inside your Main Phase, so the ready is live and buys a Standard Move (144.2). That is the opposite of jinx-rebel-lunar-boon-reaction, where the ready is dead and the Might is the payoff.
- The Warrens is colourless, so it constrains nothing: the identity of the deck is Jinx's Chaos alone (103.1.b.3), the widest legend list either card admits.
Steps
- Bring Zaun Warrens as one of your three battlefields; 485.5 selects one of the three at random at setup.
- Put Jinx, Rebel on the board (5 Energy + 1 Chaos Power).
- Take the Warrens: your units remain there at the end of a combat or showdown, 466.5 Establishes Control, and 466.5.d makes that a Conquer.
- The Warrens' trigger fires with you as its Controller: discard 1, then draw 1.
- Jinx's trigger fires on that discard: ready her and give her +1 Might this turn. Spend the ready on a Standard Move (144.2).
How it ends
engine — one card-neutral discard event, one Jinx ready and +1 Might per conquer, capped at one a turn by 470; nothing here scores

AUTHORED 2026-09-07, issue #169, second pass over matrix row 6. OGN-298 Zaun Warrens was in ZERO entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.1.b.3, 103.4.c, 144.2, 190.1, 190.6.d, 466.5, 466.5.d, 469.1.b, 470, 485.4, 485.5, 486.5 opened in the Core Rules file. Both cards legal in both formats. Card set OGN-202 + OGN-298 is not an existing uses[] set. No unruled reading: the 190.6.d worry is answered by the order inside 466.5, which is exactly the 'try a different legal ordering before filing a reading' discipline.
