Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Calm and Chaos (Unforgiven OGN-259, Blade Dancer SFD-195, Gloomist UNL-193).
Prerequisites
- Kharox Empowered (6E + 2 Chaos). Each Sanction (3E+1P) in mode two: he becomes Empowered again at end of turn → Burn 3 and a free unit from their trash. Three Sanctions a turn: 9 cards.
- 828.1.d is exact and is the whole line: "If the Dependent Ability is a Triggered Ability whose condition is 'When I become Empowered,' or a permutation thereof, it will be active and trigger when its source becomes Empowered." Every crossing re-fires the Burn.
- CITATION CORRECTED: the entry credited 431.2.c for "Burn Out recycles their trash before the point". 431.2.c is the point step; the recycle is 431.2.b, and the sequence is a (perform the action), b (recycle trash into the Main Deck), c (an opponent gains 1 point), d (finish the action). The substance stands - milling is not a kill - but the line number was wrong.
- Domains are Calm (Sanction) and Chaos (Kharox); three Calm/Chaos legends exist to carry it: OGN-259 Unforgiven, SFD-195 Blade Dancer, UNL-193 Gloomist.
Steps
- Empower Kharox: they Burn 3.
- Sanction, mode two (Disempower an Empowered unit, Empower it at end of turn): he re-Empowers at end of turn → 'When I become Empowered' fires again (828.1.d).
- He is now Disempowered until end of turn, so the next Sanction must use mode one (Empower now): another trigger. Alternate modes; order the end-of-turn delayed effects for one more.
- Kharox's own Empower ability ('Use only if not Empowered') is usable again each time he is Disempowered, for 6 Energy + 2 Chaos.
How it ends
engine — deck pressure and free units; not a kill (Burn Out recycles their trash before the point, 431.2.b)

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
First Calm/Chaos entry. Hunt B-11 called Kharox one-shot; the crossing trigger on re-Empowerment is what it missed. REFUTE 2026-09-03: SURVIVES with a step fix — mode two requires an Empowered target, so two mode-two Sanctions in a row are illegal; modes alternate. Three to four triggers a turn = Burn 9–12, plus his own re-usable Empower. The per-turn cap is Energy, not Sanction copies. HAND-WALKED 2026-09-04 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-four-engines.md), promoted to verified. The alternating-modes step fix from REFUTE is correct and 828.1.d checks out verbatim. CITATION FIX 2026-09-06 (issue #140): terminatesIn still credited 431.2.c for the trash recycle that this entry's own notable had already corrected. 431.2 is a sequence — 431.2.a perform as much of the action as possible, 431.2.b "Recycles their trash into their Main Deck", 431.2.c "Chooses an opponent to gain 1 point", 431.2.d complete the remainder — so the recycle is 431.2.b. Citation only; no change to class, quantities or steps.
