Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Kharox at a battlefield you control, not Empowered. Hide Tornado Warrior facedown at that same battlefield for 1 Power (811.1.b).
  2. From your next turn on, the hidden card has [Reaction] and can be played for 0 Energy. Play it: 'When you play me from face down, you may empower something here' - Empower Kharox for free.
  3. Kharox's trigger: the opponent [Burn 3], and you may play a unit from their trash ignoring its cost.
  4. At end of turn Kharox is disempowered again.
  5. Exhaust Pack of Wonders on a later turn to return the Tornado Warrior - or the next hidden copy - to your hand, and hide it again.

Per iteration

one free Empower of Kharox per cycle: 3 milled off the opponent and a unit stolen from their trash, for 1 Power to hide

How it ends

engine only - roughly one Empower every two turns, throttled by the hide-then-flip timing and by Pack of Wonders' exhaust

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue62-section3.md), issue #62 section 3. The source states the limitation itself - it needs further copies of Tornado Warrior - and the entry exists because Pack of Wonders answers exactly that, through the 'facedown card' clause that neither of the catalogue's two existing Pack of Wonders entries uses. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Trap check: 323.7 is the live risk and it is stated (a hidden card at a battlefield you stop controlling goes to the trash); no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; a return to hand is not a Recall (455); 811.1.b's 'beginning on the next turn' is why the cycle is two turns and not one. Depends on no unruled reading.
