Prerequisites

Bodies no card supplies

Get a unit to Reckoner's Arena and establish Control of it (190.1) - until then 190.6.d switches the battlefield's own text off

Steps

  1. Get a unit to Reckoner's Arena and establish Control of it (190.1) - until then 190.6.d switches the battlefield's own text off.
  2. Play two Last Rites (3 Energy each) and attach both to that unit: each [Equip] costs 1 Chaos Power and Recycle 2 cards from your trash (416.1 to the bottom of the Main Deck; 416.3 makes it illegal if the trash cannot pay; 185/186.1 mean no token counts).
  3. 434.1.c appends both Effect Texts to the unit, so it reads 'When I conquer or hold, you may play a unit from your trash' twice, and carries +4 Might.
  4. Conquer with it: the conquer half fires twice. Each play is at full printed cost - '(You still pay its costs.)' is printed on the card.
  5. Hold the Arena into your Beginning Phase: 383.4.d.1 fires the hold half twice, and 'When you hold here, activate the conquer effects of units here' fires the conquer half twice more. Four windows.
  6. Pay for as many of the four as the Beginning Phase allows: 167 empties the Rune Pool at the start of your Main Phase, so every rune exhausted here is one the Main Phase will not have.

Per iteration

four chances to replay a unit from the trash on a Hold turn, two on a plain Conquer, each at the unit's full printed cost

How it ends

engine only - the windows repeat for as long as the equipped unit conquers and holds, but every unit replayed costs full price out of a Beginning Phase Rune Pool, and each attach takes two cards off the trash it plays from

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-discard-trash-lens.md), issue #95 candidate 5. REWRITTEN DOWNWARD, from three copies and six windows to two and four. The rules half of the issue is right and every one of 818.3.b / 818.4 / 434.1.b.1 / 434.1.c says what it claims; what the issue never priced is that the Hold windows land in the BEGINNING PHASE, where 167 empties the Rune Pool at the start of the Main Phase, so their Energy is taken straight out of the following turn. Four windows is already 8-12 Energy plus 6 Energy of gear plus 2 Chaos Power plus four cards recycled off the trash the line plays from. The walk also named the legend the line pays for by itself - VEN-155 Heart of the Tempest, the pool's only Order/Chaos legend, whose 'play a card from anywhere other than your hand' trigger every reanimation satisfies - and checked 441.1.b, which caps the reward at one [Assault 2] however many units arrive. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 103.4.c, 167, 185, 186.1, 190.1, 190.6.d, 315.1.b, 315.2.b.2, 383.2.a.1, 383.4.c.1, 383.4.d.1, 416.1, 416.3, 434.1.b.1, 434.1.c, 441.1.b, 485.4.a, 485.5, 486.5, 487.5, 818.3.b, 818.4, plus Tournament Rules 402.1. Ban check: none of the three carries a [BANNED marker. Trap check: 818.1 makes Equip an Activated Ability, so attaching is never playing and no 'when you play this' fires from it; the Hold is measured at 383.2.a.1's instant and the entry says the body must survive the opponent's turn; no Attacker designation; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token is ever recycled; no recall. Depends on no unruled reading.
