Deck
- Bashful Bloom (UNL-189) IS the legend, and its Calm/Mind identity is exactly what Trevor (Calm) and LeBlanc (Mind) need (103.1.b).
Prerequisites
- The battlefield must be the one in play, and a deck may not carry two of it (Core Rules 103.4.c, Tournament Rules 402.1): random 1 of 3 in Duel (485.5) and Skirmish (487.5), chosen in Match (486.5). The Grand Plaza is one of YOUR three, and in a Duel only two battlefields are on the table (485.4).
- THE LOAD-BEARING RULE, and the project had not used it: LeBlanc switches off the [Temporary] TRIGGER (R10 = A), she does not remove the keyword — and 816.3 says outright that 'Temporary, and whether or not a permanent has Temporary, is a characteristic of the permanent and may be checked or referenced by other Game Effects'. So every surviving Sprite still counts for Bashful Bloom's discount, and the ability ratchets down to 0 Energy and stays there.
- The count is checked AT THE HOLD, not on resolution. 383.2.a's Loose Cannon example makes an 'if' that sits immediately after the trigger condition part of the CONDITION, and 383.2.c evaluates a Condition once the inciting event is processed. So the Sprite Trevor plays on that same Hold does NOT count toward that Hold. Recounted with that: before Hold k you have 2 + (k−1) + k = 2k+1 units, so k=1 gives 3, k=2 gives 5 and k=3 gives 7 — the third Hold wins, and it needs no trigger-ordering argument at all.
- Total Energy is 13, because the discount pays for itself: T0 Main is LeBlanc 4 + Trevor 3 + Bloom 4 (no [Temporary] friends yet) = 11; T1 Main is Bloom at 2 (two [Temporary] friends); T2 Main is Bloom at 0 (four).
- Where the Sprites land: Bashful Bloom's ability names no location, so 439.2.b.1 and 355.2.a put the token at the Plaza you control. Trevor's says 'here', which is wherever he Holds — so he must be at the Plaza.
- DO NOT pair with UNL-208 Black Flame Altar ('Units here with [Temporary] have [Shield]'), however well it reads: 485.4.a puts only ONE of your three battlefields into play. That is exactly the mistake #33 fixed in the synergy layer.
- If LeBlanc dies or moves, every Sprite dies at your next Beginning Phase. Same exposure leblanc-temporary-plaza already declares.
- Rider outside uses: UNL-076 Petal Pixie has '+1 Might for each of your units with [Temporary] at my battlefield' and grows permanently under LeBlanc.
- 6 ENERGY ANSWERS THE GARRISON THIS LINE NEEDS, AND THE BODIES ARE TOKENS SO NO uses[] ROW SHOWS IT. OGS-002 Firestorm is fury, 6 Energy + 1 Power: "Deal 3 to all enemy units at a battlefield.". This line's garrison is Sprite tokens, whose Might is fixed by rule 187 (Sprite 3) rather than by any card in uses[] - which is why no ingredient row warns you. 143.2.a kills on marked damage at or above Might, so it kills every body at or below Might 3 SIMULTANEOUSLY however many there are: the binding constraint is MIGHT PER BODY, not the number of bodies, so going wider answers nothing. A CHEAPER ANSWER EXISTS AND IT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO EVERY OPPONENT: OGN-268 Bullet Time costs 1 Energy + 3 Power here (it pays per point of damage, so it scales to any garrison) and is [Action], so 806.1.c.1 puts it inside any showdown on any player's turn - but it is a SIGNATURE card tagged Miss Fortune, and 103.2.d.2 requires every Signature card to carry the Chosen Champion Legend's tag, so only a Miss Fortune legend can run it. Count it as a matchup, not as the field. THE IDENTITY DOES HOLD AN ANSWER: SFD-089 Rumble, Scrapper +1 (Mech bodies only), UNL-077 Soul Shepherd +1 (token bodies only) - a permanent, garrison-wide +Might is the only thing that lifts every body at once, since a single-target pump is useless against a sweep that hits all of them. (A battlefield-based protection is NOT available here, because this line already requires a battlefield: 485.4.a gives each player three and "Only 1 will be used, chosen during setup", and 103.4.c forbids duplicate names, so two of your own battlefields never share a board.) WHEN THE ANSWER LANDS, AND IT IS NOT INSIDE THE HOLD. A Hold resolves at 315.2.b.2, which Holds "all Battlefields they Control", inside YOUR Beginning Phase - and 312.2.a gives a player priority only "When the turn is in a Neutral Open State during their Main Phase", i.e. their own. So the opponent cannot answer in the Hold window itself; they answer on THEIR turn, which is the turn immediately before it. The cost of that is yours, not theirs: your own Main Phase comes AFTER your Beginning Phase (315 then 316), so there is no window in which to rebuild the garrison. Holding up a [Reaction] on their turn is the only response this line has.
- OPPONENT BOARD AND KILL PRICE - ADDED 2026-10-27 (#503). THE BOARD IT WINS ON: the seven (LeBlanc, Trevor and five 3-Might Sprites) are only complete in your T2 Main, so the line crosses three opponent turns and the last one decides it: nothing of theirs ready in their base on the turn between your T2 Main and the T3 Hold that can attack the Plaza (units at their own battlefield cannot reach it, 144.4.a, 144.4.b; units they play that turn enter exhausted, 143.4). LeBlanc has [Backline], so she is assigned damage after every other body (826.3), and Trevor's [Shield] adds +1 only while he defends (814.1.c): killing N - 6 = 1 unit costs 3 damage, one Sprite (187.2), so one ready enemy body of Might 3 or more, or bodies whose summed Might is 3, leaves six. This prices the last opponent turn before the Hold; the earlier ones face three and then five units.
Steps
- Control The Grand Plaza. T0 Main: play LeBlanc, Everywhere at Once and Trevor Snoozebottom there, and activate Bashful Bloom for 4 Energy — one Sprite at the Plaza. Three units.
- T1 Beginning: Hold. The Plaza sees 3 and does not fire; Trevor's hold effect adds a Sprite (four). Main: Bloom now costs 2 (two [Temporary] friends) — five.
- T2 Beginning: Hold, the Plaza sees 5; Trevor adds a Sprite (six). Main: Bloom costs 0 (four [Temporary] friends) — seven.
- T3 Beginning: Hold with 7 units at the Plaza — you win (195). None of the Sprites ever died, because LeBlanc's clause plus R10 = A stops 816.1.b from triggering at her battlefield.
How it ends
win the game on the third Hold after setup, for 13 Energy total

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-05 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-05-death-and-return-candidates.md), issue #36. REWRITTEN: the issue reached seven units on the third Hold by counting the Sprite Trevor plays during that same Hold, which 383.2.a plus 383.2.c do not allow — the Plaza's 'if' is part of the Condition and is measured when the Hold happens. Recounted honestly the answer is still the third Hold (2k+1 units before Hold k), because the setup turn's Bashful Bloom Sprite carries it, so the entry needs no trigger-ordering reading and none was filed. Against leblanc-temporary-plaza, which reaches ten units in ONE turn: six of those are 0 Might Reflections and its own notable says any single point of damage removes one. This is slower and every body is 3 Might, with Trevor holding [Shield] and LeBlanc [Backline]. Trap check: no attack; no [Repeat]; no recall; no rune recycled; 167 does not bite because every activation is a Main Phase cost; and [Temporary] is used forwards — the entry's whole point is that the kill never fires.
