Deck
- Any Calm legend — Lillia and Flurry of Feathers are both mono-Calm (103.1.b.1), and neither is a Signature card.

Prerequisites
- [Tank] IS A HARD ASSIGNMENT RULE, NOT A SUGGESTION, AND THAT IS WHY FOUR 1-MIGHT BIRDS ARE A WALL. 815.1.b: '[Tank] is functionally short for "I must be assigned lethal damage before any other unit with the same controller as me that does not have [Tank] during the Combat Damage step."' And 815.1.c.2: 'Units without Tank are invalid assignments until all units with Tank have lethal damage assigned to them.' With 465.2.c.4 capping each assignment at the minimum needed to kill, four 1 Might Birds absorb exactly FOUR damage, and until all four are dead nothing else of yours can legally be assigned anything.
- THE OTHER HALF IS [Deflect], SO THE WALL IS TAXED FROM BOTH SIDES. The Birds arrive with [Deflect] printed on them, and 809.1.c with 809.1.d make an opponent pay one rainbow to CHOOSE each one with a spell or ability. So removing the wall by spell costs 1 rainbow per Bird and removing it by combat costs 4 damage — and a 1-Energy sweeper is the only cheap answer (OGN-133 Flurry of Blades, 'Deal 1 to all units at battlefields', kills all four). That vulnerability is stated rather than hidden, and it is the same one every 1-Might token line in the catalogue carries.
- IT LANDS INSIDE THE OPPONENT'S ATTACK, WHICH IS WHERE A WALL IS WORTH BUYING. Flurry of Feathers is a [Reaction], and 813.1.c.1 lets a [Reaction] card be played during Closed States on any player's turn. 464.2.c.3.a is what makes the Birds count: 'If a Unit controlled by the Attacker or Defender becomes present at this Battlefield after this moment, it will gain the Attacker or Defender designation during the Cleanup phase following the action that caused it to become present.' So four Defenders appear after the designation and before 465.1's damage step, adding 4 to your defending Might sum (465.2.b) as well as soaking the first four damage.
- LILLIA'S OWN CLAUSE IS FOUR MIGHT ON ONE CARD, AND IT IS 'THIS TURN'. 'When you play a token unit, give me +1 Might this turn' fires once per token, so one Flurry is +4 and Lillia attacks or defends at 8 rather than 4. It is a CONTINUOUS MODIFIER worded 'this turn', not a 702 Buff counter, so 702.3's one-per-unit cap never touches it and it stacks with a real buff — the same distinction the #102 and #153 walks drew for Lee Sin, Centered and Soul Shepherd. It does not carry to the next turn.
- THE [Tank] GRANT REACHES EVERY TOKEN YOU CONTROL, NOT ONLY THE BIRDS. 'Your token units have [Tank]' is a static ability, so any Recruit, Sand Soldier or Sprite on your board is also a mandatory first assignment. That is why Lillia is a wall card rather than a Bird card, and it is also the reason she is ANTI-SYNERGIC with the Grand Plaza family: OGN-293 wants seven token bodies to SURVIVE to your Beginning Phase, and [Tank] guarantees they are the first things killed.
- 185.1 WITH 185.2.b IS WHY THE BIRDS COUNT AS UNITS AT ALL — 'Token units have a Might' — and 350.2 with 185.2.a is why playing them fires Lillia's trigger: a token is not a card, but it is PLAYED. Those are different paragraphs and are easy to conflate.
- NOTHING HERE SCORES. It is four bodies and four Might for 4 Energy + 2 Calm Power, three times a game (103.2.b). The points come from whatever the wall is protecting.
Steps
- Land Lillia, Protector of Dreams (5 Energy) at the battlefield you intend to hold.
- When the opponent attacks it, wait for the Combat Showdown: 464.2.f.1 leaves the State Open and 813.1.c.1 permits a [Reaction].
- Cast Flurry of Feathers (4 Energy + 2 Calm Power) choosing the second mode: four 1 Might Bird tokens with [Deflect].
- Lillia's trigger fires four times — she is +4 Might this turn — and her static clause gives all four Birds [Tank].
- 464.2.c.3.a gives the Birds the Defender designation at the next Cleanup, so they join the damage step: 465.2.b adds their 4 Might to your side, and 815.1.b with 815.1.c.2 makes them the only legal assignments until all four have lethal damage.
- The attacker spends its first four damage killing 1 Might Birds; everything else of yours, Lillia at 8 included, survives.
Per iteration
+4 token units with [Tank] and [Deflect], +4 Might on Lillia this turn, for 4 Energy + 2 Calm Power
How it ends
engine — four Tank/Deflect bodies and +4 Might on Lillia for one card, at Reaction speed, three times a game; nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-engine-payoff-walk.md, section 27). UNL-058 Lillia was in ZERO entries despite 45 matrix partners; of those, UNL-044 Flurry of Feathers is the best on its own numbers because it is the only one that plays FOUR token units off a single card at Reaction speed, which is what turns the [Tank] grant from a rider into a wall. 815 is cited here for the first time in the catalogue. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.1.b.1, 103.2.b, 185.1/185.2.a/185.2.b, 350.2, 464.2.c.3.a, 464.2.f.1, 465.1, 465.2.b, 465.2.c.4, 702.3, 809.1.c/809.1.d, 813.1.c.1 and 815.1.b/815.1.c.2 opened and read. Ban check: neither UNL-058 nor UNL-044 carries a [BANNED marker and neither is a Signature card. Trap check: no attack of your own; no [Temporary] on the Birds, so 816.1.b never touches them; no [Repeat]; no recall; the tokens never reach the trash (186.1), which costs this line nothing. The anti-synergy with the Grand Plaza family is stated in a notable because it is counter-intuitive: [Tank] guarantees the bodies the Plaza needs alive are killed first. Depends on no unruled reading.
