Magma Wurm over the Assembly Rig — a Mech that walks in the turn it is minted
Pieces
- Magma Wurm ×1
OGN-011 · engine · fury
Other friendly units enter ready.
- Assembly Rig ×1
SFD-019 · payoff · fury
1 Energy + 1 Fury Power, Recycle a unit from your trash, Exhaust: Play a 3 Might Mech unit token to your base.
Payoff
Deck
- Both mono-Fury, so 103.1.b.3 admits them under any legend carrying Fury.
- A unit CARD in your trash every turn to pay the Rig's cost.
Prerequisites
- The bottleneck this removes is #48's, and it is worth stating exactly. A token minted at your base enters exhausted (143.4) and 144.2 prices the Standard Move at its own exhaust, so it cannot walk to a battlefield until the next turn — one full turn of the opponent's sweepers. Magma Wurm makes it enter ready, so the Mech is minted and walks in the same Main Phase (144.4.a).
- Until now the project had exactly one card doing this and it was mono-Order (SFD-171 Renata Glasc, Industrialist, and only for tokens). Magma Wurm is the Fury one, and it is WIDER: 'Other friendly units', not 'Your tokens', so every unit you play from hand also enters ready.
- The Rig cannot be fed by its own output. 185 — 'Tokens are not cards' — and 416.1 defines Recycling over cards, while 186.1 makes a token cease to exist the moment it enters any Non-Board Zone, so a dead Mech token never sits in the trash to be recycled. 203.3 and 416.3 then make the cost unpayable with no unit CARD in the trash. Two community lines died on exactly this in issue #62.
- E8 + 1 Power for the Wurm is the whole objection to the line, and it is real: this is a late-game static, not a curve play. Its own M8 body is part of what you buy.
Steps
- Get Magma Wurm onto the board. From that moment every other friendly unit you play or mint enters ready (143.4.a).
- Each turn, pay the Assembly Rig's cost: E1 + 1 Fury Power, recycle a unit CARD from your trash (185 / 416.3 — a token will not do), exhaust the Rig.
- The 3 Might Mech token is played to your base and, because of the Wurm, enters ready.
- Standard-move it to a battlefield the same Main Phase: 144.4.a allows base to battlefield, 144.2 takes its exhaust as the cost.
- 315.1.b readies the Rig at the next Awaken and the cycle repeats, one Mech a turn.
How it ends
engine only — one 3 Might Mech a turn that reaches a battlefield the turn it is minted, bounded by the unit cards in your trash and by the Rig's own exhaust. Nothing here scores.

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-orphan-synergy-rules.md §7), issue #153, from the orphan rule magma-wurm-mass-ready. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 103.1.b.3, 143.4, 143.4.a, 144.2, 144.4.a, 185, 186.1, 203.3, 315.1.b, 416.1, 416.3. This is the second card in the pool that beats 143.4 for a token, and the first one in Fury; CLAUDE.md's 'only under SFD-171 Renata Glasc, Industrialist' is a statement about Order, not about the pool. Trap check: no attack and no Attacker designation; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; the Rig's recycle cost is explicitly walked against 185 / 186.1 / 416.3 rather than assumed; no recall; nothing added in Awaken, so 167 does not bite. Depends on no unruled reading.
