Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Deck-build under a Mechanized Menace legend (SFD-181 or SFD-240). 'Your Mechs have [Shield]' is a static from turn one.
  2. Play Ferrous Forerunner (E6 + 1 Fury Power). When it dies — in combat, or to any of your own kill costs — its Deathknell plays two 3-Might Mech unit tokens to your base.
  3. 187.4 gives each token the Mech tag by rule, so both statics reach them: [Shield] from the legend, [Deflect] and [Ganking] from Breakneck Mech.
  4. Play Breakneck Mech (E8 + 2 Power) with another Mech already on the board, so its own clause lets it enter ready.
  5. Standard-Move the tokens. 144.4.a takes them from your base to a battlefield; 144.4.c.1 — the [Ganking] permission — then lets them cross from that battlefield to the other one without returning home, paying 144.2's exhaust once each. 144.3 moves any number of them as a single game action to a shared destination.

How it ends

engine only — two 3-Might tokens per Forerunner death (six on three copies, 103.2.b), each defending at 4, each costing an opponent a rainbow to target, each able to cross between battlefields; nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07, issue #171 — the fourth of the ten uncatalogued legend names, and the first entry to use SFD-181 or SFD-071. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. 187.4 is the citation that makes the whole line work and it is quoted rather than paraphrased: the tokens get the Mech tag BY RULE, so neither static needs the token to say anything. Trap check: 810.1.c.3 and 810.2 are cited so [Ganking] is not mistaken for an extra move or stacked; 143.4 and 143.4.a are cited so the entering-exhausted delay is stated rather than glossed, and the two cards that would fix it are named together with the reason neither fits this identity (103.1.b, two domains); 185 / 186.1 / 416.1 are cited so the tokens are never counted as cards or recycled; no attack is claimed anywhere.
