Deck
- Might of Demacia - Starter IS the legend, OGS-023 (Body/Order), so this is a one-legend line by construction. Recruit the Vanguard and Renata Glasc, Industrialist are both mono-Order, so 103.1.b.3 is satisfied and the Body half is free for the rest of the deck. OGS-023 carries no ban or restriction in either format.
Prerequisites
- FOUR BODIES MOVE AS A SINGLE GAME ACTION, WHICH IS WHY THE THRESHOLD IS REACHABLE AT ALL. 144.3: 'Players may perform multiple Units' standard move simultaneously. This is treated as one game action performed on multiple Units', with 144.3.a requiring a shared destination and 144.3.c paying all four exhausts together. And 144.4.a.1's cap counts OTHER PLAYERS, not units — its cross-reference 447.2.a opens with 'In Modes of Play with more than two players' — so in a Duel there is no limit on how many of your own bodies enter one battlefield in one Main Phase.
- THE CONQUER IS THE BLOODLESS ONE. Against an empty battlefield 190.3.a.1 applies Contested, 344.2 opens a Showdown at the next Cleanup rather than staging a Combat, and 348.2.a / 348.2.a.1 establish Control and make it a Conquer. Against a garrison it is a real Combat (323.9) and four 1-Might bodies sum to 4 attacking Might (465.2.c), which is usually not enough — this line takes open battlefields, it does not fight for them.
- AND THE FOUR SURVIVE THE MEASUREMENT BECAUSE THERE IS NO DAMAGE STEP. On the 344.2 route 465.1 never runs, so all four are still standing when 348.2.a.1 fires and 383.2.a.1 counts them.
- TWO CARDS PER CONQUER IS THE PAYOFF, AND 470 CAPS THE POINT AT ONE PER BATTLEFIELD PER TURN, so a Duel's two battlefields are two conquers and four cards a turn at the very most. Burn Out (431.1.a) is the real ceiling on running it that hard.
- RENATA IS NOT A LUXURY HERE AND SHE IS NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. R25 = A ruled that her static beats a token's printed 'exhausted', and the project has since measured that 'enters ready' is worth NOTHING on a unit token made on the opponent's turn (144.1.b forbids the move in a Closed State and 315.1.b would have readied it anyway). It is worth everything here, because these tokens are made in YOUR Main Phase and must move in the same one.
- THE FOURTH BODY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A RECRUIT. Renata, any surviving attacker, or a Recruit left over from a previous Conquer all count — 'if you have 4+ units at that battlefield' counts bodies, and 185.1 + 185.2.b make a token unit a unit for that purpose. Three copies of Recruit the Vanguard (103.2.b) are three guaranteed batches; after that the count has to be assembled.
- A BLOODLESS CONQUER IS NOT A FAIT ACCOMPLI, AND 46 OF THE 47 ENTRIES CITING 344.2 DID NOT SAY SO (added 2026-09-12, #187 batch 25). **316.8.b.1.a**: during a Non-Combat Showdown *"units controlled by a different player may become present at the Battlefield where the Showdown is"*, which converts it to a COMBAT Showdown in the following cleanup - so the opponent can turn your uncontested walk-in into a fight. 316.8.c is the permission (a Showdown is a Window of Opportunity for [Action] and [Reaction] cards). **The answer set is THREE CARDS, swept on the ACTOR rather than on the destination**: `OGN-173 Ride the Wind` (Chaos, E2+1), `OGN-262 Zenith Blade` (Calm/Order, E3+2) and `SFD-184 Relentless Pursuit` (Fury/Body, E2+1) - twelve printings move a friendly unit, and nine of them send it to base or need a body already there. They span three identities, so **no identity is safe**; and `OGN-262 Zenith Blade` is the worst to walk into, because it STUNS your body on the way in, and 423.1.b removes a stunned unit`s contribution to the damage step while 423.1.c keeps its full Might as the price to kill it - one 3-Energy card takes the unit and the battlefield. **[Ambush] is not a fourth answer**: 822.1.b needs a battlefield where the player already has units, and the defining feature of that board is that they have none there. **THE REMEDY IS A COUNTERSPELL, AND A FIRST VERSION OF THIS NOTABLE SAID SOMETHING FALSE THAT IS WITHDRAWN HERE (corrected within the hour, 2026-09-12).** It said that because all three answers are [Action] and 358.4 admits an Action card only as the card that CLOSES the state, the attacker - who holds Focus by 345 and priority by 335.1 - could shut them out by playing any cheap Action card first. Every step is true and the conclusion is false, because **a Showdown is a LOOP, not a single window**: 346 - *"When the last item on the chain resolves and the turn returns to an Open State during a Showdown, Focus passes, and the next Player gains both Focus and Priority"* - with 347.1.b and 347.2.a. Closing the state buys a lock-out lasting exactly that CHAIN; when it resolves the Showdown reopens, Focus passes TO THE DEFENDER, and they play their answer into an open Showdown after all. **The real sequence**: walk in, take Focus, **PASS** (acting first gains nothing); they play the answer, which closes the state as it is played; **you COUNTER it**, since 358.4`s other half now admits only [Reaction] and all eleven of the pool`s counters are Reaction, and 425.1.c refunds them nothing; all players then pass in sequence, 347.2.a ends the Showdown, and 348.2.a with 348.2.a.1 give you Control and the Conquer. The cheap counter is `OGN-045 Defy` (Calm, E1 + 1 Power, *"counter a spell that costs no more than 4 Energy and no more than one rainbow"*), which covers all three answers; `OGN-064 Wind Wall` is the unconditional one. **So the protection narrows to pairs containing CALM** - it is not the one-Energy insurance any deck can buy.
Steps
- Deck-build under the Might of Demacia - Starter legend (OGS-023) and get Renata Glasc, Industrialist onto the board (E4 + 1 Order Power). Her clause is a static and needs nothing further.
- Main Phase: play Recruit the Vanguard (E6) and put all four 1-Might Recruit tokens at your base — 355.2.a and the card's own parenthesis forbid placing them at a battlefield you do not control.
- Renata's static overrides 143.4, so all four enter READY.
- Standard-Move all four to the target battlefield in one action (144.3, 144.3.a's shared destination, 144.3.c's simultaneous exhausts). 144.4.a allows base to battlefield and 144.4.a.1's cap does not bind in a Duel.
- 190.3.a.1 applies Contested. With no enemy units present, 344.2 opens a Showdown during the next Cleanup instead of staging a Combat, so no damage is ever assigned and all four bodies survive.
- 348.2.a establishes your Control and 348.2.a.1 makes it a Conquer. The legend's trigger is placed, 383.2.a.1 counts the four Recruits standing there, and you draw 2.
Per iteration
one Conquer plus two cards, for E6 (plus the one-off E4 + 1 Order Power for Renata)
How it ends
engine only — two cards per Conquer at any battlefield, with 470 capping the point at one per battlefield per turn and 485.4 putting two on a Duel table; three guaranteed batches of four bodies (103.2.b) and Burn Out (431.1.a) as the ceiling on the draws

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07, issue #171 — the seventh of the ten uncatalogued legend names, and the first entry to use OGS-023. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. The distinction that makes this legend worth an entry was checked against the pool rather than assumed: it says 'when you conquer', not 'when you conquer here', so it is not one of the FOURTEEN conquer-here battlefields (grep -i 'conquer here' over the corpus returns fourteen rows — this walk had earlier miscounted them as twelve by counting the uncatalogued subset instead of the pool, corrected by the #175 cross-audit). Trap check: the empty-battlefield route is stated as 344.2 and explicitly NOT as an attack, so 807.1.d / 383.4.e / 461 are respected; 383.2.a.1 is cited so the 4+ count is measured when the trigger is placed; 143.4 / 143.4.a and R25 are cited so Renata's role is priced rather than assumed, together with the case where 'enters ready' is worth nothing; 185.1 + 185.2.b are the pair cited for a token unit COUNTING as a unit.
