Minotaur Reckoner freezes every unit at its battlefield — and the combat recall still works, because 455 says a Recall is not a Move

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Play Minotaur Reckoner (5 Energy) and leave him at your base — moving him out is one-way.
  2. From this point 144.4 leaves only battlefield-to-battlefield movement, which 810.1.c.3 gates behind [Ganking].
  3. Play Rengar, Unseen (4 Energy + 1 Fury Power), optionally paying [Accelerate]'s 1 Energy + 1 Fury so he enters ready.
  4. Move Rengar between battlefields at will in your Main Phase; every enemy body without [Ganking] is fixed where it stands.
  5. If an attack of yours fails, 466.1.a.2 recalls your attackers anyway — 455 makes that a Recall, not a Move, so the Reckoner does not strand them.

How it ends

engine — a permanent one-sided freeze on repositioning for as long as the Reckoner lives; nothing here scores

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

AUTHORED 2026-09-07, issue #173, from the uncatalogued Fury population. SFD-014 Minotaur Reckoner and UNL-024 Rengar, Unseen were both in ZERO entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.1.b.3, 143.4.a, 144.1.b, 144.4, 323.6, 455, 466.1.a.2, 809.1.c, 809.1.d, 810.1.c.3 opened in the Core Rules file. Both cards legal in both formats; neither is Signature. No existing entry uses either card. No unruled reading. The second notable was corrected during the walk: the first draft said an EFFECT move to base still worked, and 420.1 with 420.2.b, 449 and 054.1 say it does not — only a Recall escapes, because 455 excludes itself from being a Move by name. The uniqueness claim was swept by grep over the whole corpus ('move to base': two rows) rather than asserted, and the third notable is the correction a reader needs: the lock reads as though it strands your own attackers and 455 says it does not.
