Pack of Wonders returns the Treasure Trove, and leaving the board is what the Trove pays for
Pieces
- Pack of Wonders ×1
OGN-181 · engine · chaos
Exhaust: Return another friendly gear, unit, or facedown card to its owner's hand.
- Treasure Trove ×1
OGN-186 · payoff · chaos
When this leaves the board, draw 1 and channel 1 rune exhausted. 1 Chaos Power, Exhaust: Kill this.
Payoff
Deck
- Both cards are Chaos, so any legend with Chaos works; the source's is Ezreal, Prodigal Explorer.
Prerequisites
- 'When this leaves the board' IS BROADER THAN A DEATH TRIGGER, AND THAT IS THE ENTIRE PAIRING. Returning the Trove to hand is a zone change off the board (124), so the trigger pays - a card and an exhausted rune - and then you replay it for 2 Energy. The Trove's own 'Kill this' costs 1 Chaos Power; the Pack costs an exhaust and nothing else.
- IT IS ONE CYCLE A TURN. Pack of Wonders carries an exhaust in its cost, so 315.1.b readies it in your next Awaken and no amount of Energy buys a second bounce. The source is explicit and correct: 'not infinite, but it is an engine that continuously bring back units and grind the opponent out'.
- THE RUNE ARRIVES EXHAUSTED, so the cycle is 2 Energy now for a card plus next turn's Energy, not a refund.
- 'Another friendly gear, unit, or facedown card' - the Pack cannot bounce itself, and the facedown clause is what makes it a Hidden-deck card as well; the catalogue already has two other Pack of Wonders entries, on Bewitching Spirit and on Fizz, and none of the three share a second card.
- 323.7 recalls unattached non-unit gear at battlefields at every Cleanup, so both of these live at your base and never travel.
Steps
- Pack of Wonders and Treasure Trove both on the board.
- Exhaust Pack of Wonders: return Treasure Trove to your hand.
- The Trove leaves the board, so its trigger pays: draw 1 and channel 1 rune exhausted.
- Replay Treasure Trove (2 Energy).
- Both ready in your next Awaken (315.1.b) and the cycle repeats.
Per iteration
+1 card and +1 rune channelled exhausted per turn, for 2 Energy and one exhaust
How it ends
engine only - one bounce a turn, capped by Pack of Wonders' own exhaust

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue62-section3.md), issue #62 section 3. OGN-186 Treasure Trove appeared in no entry before this. The source draws its own boundary - 'not infinite, but it is an engine' - and the walk agrees for a reason it does not give: Pack of Wonders carries an exhaust in its cost, so it is one bounce per turn no matter how much Energy is available. That is the same test that keeps several other entries out of INFINITE. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Trap check: no attack designation; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; a return to hand is not a Recall (455); the channelled rune is exhausted, so 167 never applies. Depends on no unruled reading.
