A hide lasts only for as long as you control the battlefield - so the cheapest body in the domain is what keeps it there

Deck
- All cards are mono-Body (the battlefield, where one is used, is Colorless), so 103.1.b.3 admits any legend with Body in its pair: SFD-203/SFD-250 Battle Mistress, OGN-257/OGN-304 Blind Monk, OGN-267/OGN-309 Bounty Hunter, VEN-141/VEN-190 Butcher of the Sands, VEN-149/VEN-194 Defender of Tomorrow, SFD-205/SFD-251 Grand Duelist, SFD-193/SFD-245 Grandmaster at Arms, UNL-203/UNL-237 Keeper of the Hammer, VEN-153/VEN-196 Matriarch of War, OGS-023 Might of Demacia - Starter, UNL-183/UNL-227 Pridestalker, SFD-183/SFD-241 Purifier, OGN-249/OGN-300 Relentless Storm, OGN-269/OGN-310 The Boss, UNL-201/UNL-236 Voidreaver, OGS-019 Wuju Bladesman - Starter, UNL-191/UNL-231 Wuju Master.
- Neither card is banned or restricted in either format, and neither is a Signature card.
- One battlefield you control per hidden card: 811.1.b says 'at a battlefield you control that doesn't already have a facedown card hidden there', and 485.4 puts two on a Duel table.

Prerequisites
- THE CLAUSE THE REMINDER TEXT LEAVES OUT, AND IT IS THE ENTRY. 811.1.b in full: 'While this card is in your hand or in your Champion Zone on your turn during an Open State, you may pay [A] to hide this facedown at a battlefield you control that doesn't already have a facedown card hidden there for as long as you control that battlefield. Beginning on the next turn, this gains [Reaction] and you may play this, ignoring its base cost.' The hide is conditional on continued Control, and the card on the table says none of that.
- AND 323.6 IS HOW CONTROL IS LOST WITHOUT A FIGHT. 'Players lose control of any controlled Battlefields without their Units occupying them if the turn is in an Open State and there is no Showdown or Combat ongoing there.' So walking your garrison off a battlefield to attack somewhere else costs you the hide as well as the battlefield - which is a cost nobody prices, because nothing on the hidden card mentions it.
- WHICH IS WHY A BODY THAT CANNOT LEAVE IS WORTH ONE ENERGY. 144.4 confines the Standard Move to base and battlefield without [Ganking], so a unit that 'can't move to base' and has no [Ganking] has nowhere to go: the Determined Sentry can never voluntarily leave, and 323.6 therefore never fires while it stands. One Energy for a permanent hide slot.
- THE HONEST GAP IN THAT ANCHOR. 456.3: 'A Recall cannot be prevented by actions and Game Effects that restrict or block Movement.' So a recall sends the Sentry home whatever its text says - but the two that matter do not reach it here: 466.1.a.2 recalls ATTACKERS when Defenders remain, and the Sentry is a defender at a battlefield you control; and 323.7's Cleanup recall is for unattached gear and runes, not units. Removal by kill or banish is the real answer to it, and 1 Energy is a fair price to make the opponent spend a card.
- WHAT THE CUB ACTUALLY COSTS. One rainbow Power to hide, and 'ignoring its base cost' to play - so a 3 Might body for 1 Power in total, against 3 Energy paid from hand. 811.1.d.1 puts it at that battlefield, and the tail of 811.1.b gives it [Reaction], which 813.1.c.1 reads as 'This can be played during Closed States on any player's turn': it arrives inside the opponent's attack.
- AND IT IS IN THAT DAMAGE STEP. 319.6 runs after Game Objects enter the Board and 323.2.a says 'If there are Units present at the Battlefield the Combat is taking place at, but do not have a designation, they gain the same designation as their Controller now.' 143.4's entering exhausted costs nothing, because neither 464.2.c.3 nor 465.2.b filters by state.
- WHY A VANILLA BODY IS THE RIGHT THING TO HIDE. 811.1.d.2 confines the targets of a hidden card's play effects to the battlefield it was hidden at, and 811.1.d makes a hidden spell unplayable if it has no valid targets under that restriction. A body with no play effect at all is immune to both - the Pakaa Cub is never a dead facedown, which a hidden trick can be.
- THE CEILING. One facedown per battlefield (811.1.b) and two battlefields in a Duel (485.4), so at most two hidden cards are live at once however many the deck holds; 103.2.b caps each card at three.
- WHAT IT IS NOT. Nothing here scores; 469 defines Scoring as Conquer or Hold and neither card touches either.
- ONE ENERGY AT REACTION SPEED ANSWERS THE BODY THIS ENGINE STANDS ON (Determined Sentry (M1 x3)). OGN-133 Flurry of Blades is Body, 1 Energy: "[Reaction] (Play any time, even before spells and abilities resolve.) Deal 1 to all units at battlefields." 143.2.a kills a unit whose marked damage equals or exceeds its Might and 142.4.b defines Lethal Damage as "a non-zero amount greater than or equal to that Unit's Might", so one damage is lethal to every body of Might 1 or less. RUNNING MORE COPIES IS NOT A DEFENCE: 370.1.a.2 makes events simultaneous when they "are all the result of the same Game Action", so the sweep kills every copy at once. And because it carries [Reaction], 813.1.c.1 lets it be played "during Closed States on any player's turn" - it never has to be cast a turn early the way the base-reaching removals do, and it can land in response to the very trigger this engine exists to fire. WHAT PROTECTS IT: this entry's cards are body, so the second domain is still free and CHOOSING IT DECIDES WHICH PROTECTION YOU GET - 103.1.b allows exactly one partner, so these are alternatives and not a list you can run together. only if the second domain is FURY: VEN-018 Rage Amplifier (gear, 'Your units have +1 Might' - the only UNCONDITIONAL board-wide one, +2 while Empowered) | only if the second domain is ORDER: OGN-243 Darius, Executioner ('Other friendly units have +1 Might HERE' - his battlefield only, and never himself); OGS-013 Garen, Commander (same clause as Darius, same limits) | only if the second domain is MIND: UNL-077 Soul Shepherd ('Your TOKEN units have +1 Might' - tokens only, nothing for a printed body); SFD-089 Rumble, Scrapper ('Your MECHS have +1 Might' - Mech tag only) | colourless, so legal whatever the second domain is: OGN-294 Trifarian War Camp (colourless battlefield, 'Units here have +1 Might') - but 485.5 makes a battlefield you bring a 1-in-3, and 103.4.c forbids two of the same name. A single-target pump is no use against a sweep that hits every body at once, which is why only permanent, board-wide sources are listed.
Steps
- Walk a Determined Sentry (1 Energy) to a battlefield you control. 144.4 gives it no legal destination afterwards, so it stays.
- On your turn in an Open State, pay 1 rainbow Power to hide a Pakaa Cub facedown there (811.1.b).
- 323.6 cannot strip your Control while the Sentry occupies the battlefield, so the hide survives your attacks elsewhere.
- From the next turn the Cub has [Reaction] and costs nothing to play (the tail of 811.1.b, with 813.1.c.1).
- Play it inside the opponent's attack: 811.1.d.1 puts it at that battlefield, and 319.6 with 323.2.a give it the Defender designation before 465.2 resolves.
- Repeat at your second battlefield - 811.1.b allows one facedown per battlefield and 485.4 gives you two.
Per iteration
one 3 Might body deployed at Reaction speed for 1 Power in total, on a hide the opponent has to spend removal to break
How it ends
engine only - two live hides at a time (811.1.b + 485.4), three of each card by 103.2.b; nothing here scores

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07 (issue #186, batch 4). The first entry to use OGN-135 Pakaa Cub or UNL-111 Determined Sentry. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened and quoted: 103.1.b.3, 103.2.b, 143.4, 144.4, 319.6, 323.2.a, 323.6, 323.7, 456.3, 464.2.c.3, 465.2.b, 466.1.a.2, 469, 485.4, 811.1.b, 811.1.d, 811.1.d.1, 811.1.d.2, 813.1.c.1. The load-bearing find is the tail of 811.1.b - 'for as long as you control that battlefield' - which makes a hide a Control-dependent investment, a cost no hidden card prints. Ban check: neither card is banned or restricted; neither is a Signature card. No unruled reading.
