Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Deck-build under a Prodigal Explorer legend (SFD-199 or SFD-248) with cheap enemy-choosing [Reaction] spells in Mind and Chaos.
  2. Play Stupefy (E1) choosing an enemy unit: it takes -1 Might this turn (to a minimum of 1) and you draw 1. That is choice one.
  3. Play Gust (E1) choosing a different enemy unit at a battlefield with 3 Might or less: it returns to its owner's hand. That is choice two, and 355.10.d is satisfied by both because each names a single unit rather than selecting programmatically.
  4. Exhaust the legend: its condition — two enemy units or gear chosen this turn with spells or unit abilities — is now met, and you draw 1.
  5. 315.1.b readies the legend at your next Awakening. Because all three cards are [Reaction] and 813.1.b grants them Action's permissions, the whole sequence can also be run inside a showdown on the opponent's turn.

Per iteration

3 cards for 2 Energy per turn — one from Stupefy, one from the legend, and one body bounced and one shrunk along the way

How it ends

engine only — one legend draw per turn forever, with the enabling spells capped at three copies each (103.2.b, so six castings) before the two choices have to come from elsewhere; nothing here scores and Burn Out (431.1.a) is the ceiling

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07, issue #171 — the eighth of the ten uncatalogued legend names, and the first entry to put SFD-199 in uses[] (it was named in ezreal-marai-spire-free-repeat's prerequisites, which is not the same thing). Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. That earlier entry had already flagged the trap and this one is built to avoid it rather than to test it: the two choices come from two different spells, so the unruled question of whether a [Repeat] counts twice (820.3.a against 820.2) is never reached. Trap check: 355.10.d is cited so a mass effect is not counted as a choice; 809.1.c / 809.1.c.1 are cited so the Deflect tax is priced; 107.4.b is cited so no multiplier is claimed on the legend; 377.2.b is cited so the 'Use only if' sentence is treated as a condition of the ability, which is the same reading R30 turned on.
