Payoff
Deck
- Purifier IS the legend, SFD-183 or SFD-241 (Fury/Body), so this is a one-legend line by construction. Doran's Blade and Veteran Poro are both mono-Body, so 103.1.b.3 is satisfied and the Fury half of the identity is free for the rest of the deck.
Prerequisites
- THE LEDGER, COUNTING THE [EQUIP] COSTS AND THE POWER, WHICH IS THE PART TWO PUBLISHED FIGURES IN THIS PROJECT ONCE FORGOT. Three Doran's Blades cost E2 each. Veteran Poro costs E2. Play the three Blades first, then the Poro: [Weaponmaster] attaches one of them for one rainbow less, i.e. for nothing, and the other two cost one Body rune each. Total E8 plus 2 Body Power. The result is Might 2 + 6 (434.1.d, three M+2 bonuses) = 8 standing, and Assault 3 from Purifier on top of that while he is the attacker (807.1.c) — MIGHT 11 ATTACKING.
- [WEAPONMASTER] FIRES ONCE, ON PLAY, AND ATTACHING IS NEVER PLAYING. 818.1 makes Equip an Activated Ability with a cost, so the two attaches you pay for fire no 'when you play this' trigger, and the Weaponmaster discount is not available again on a later turn.
- IT NEEDS A REAL COMBAT. 807.1.d: 'Being an attacker means the Unit has gained the Attacker designation during Combat', which 464.2.c.3 grants only inside a Combat that 323.9 staged — and 323.9 stages one only where units of opposing players are present. Walking onto an empty battlefield is not an attack and the Assault is worth nothing there.
- AND THE WHOLE STACK IS ONE BODY, WHICH IS THE RISK. 465.2.c.3 forces lethal onto one unit at a time, so a single answer that kills or bounces the carrier costs you eleven Might and four cards at once. SFD-102 Hexdrinker ([Deflect], [Equip] one Body rune) is the carrier-independent insurance and is deliberately not in uses[] — it is a fourth Equipment and would change the count.
- THE OTHER DIRECTION PURIFIER OPENS, not costed here: the grant is per Equipment across your whole board, so spreading one Equipment onto each of several attackers gives each of them +1 while attacking, and 144.3 moves the whole group as a single game action. That is a wider, flatter use of the same legend and belongs in its own entry rather than in this one's arithmetic.
- 103.2.b CAPS DORAN'S BLADE AT THREE, which is exactly what this line spends, so there is no fourth instance to add.
Steps
- Deck-build under a Purifier legend (SFD-183 or SFD-241). 'Your Equipment each give [Assault]' is a static and needs no set-up.
- Play three Doran's Blades (E2 each). Playing an Equipment is not attaching it — 818.1 makes Equip a separate Activated Ability — so all three sit on the board unattached.
- Play Veteran Poro (E2). His [Weaponmaster] trigger attaches one Blade to him for one rainbow less, which on a one-rune Equip cost is nothing (356.6 floors it at 0).
- Activate [Equip] on the other two Blades, one Body rune each (818.1.b), choosing the Poro. 434.1.f is not engaged since neither was attached elsewhere.
- 434.1.d modulates his Might by all three Might Bonuses: 2 + 6 = 8. Purifier grants [Assault] once per Equipment and 807.2 sums the three instances into Assault 3.
- Attack a garrisoned battlefield. 190.3.a.1 applies Contested, 323.9 stages the Combat and 464.2.c.3 gives him the Attacker designation; 807.1.c then reads him at Might 11 for 465.2.c's damage assignment.
How it ends
engine only — an 11-Might attacker for E8 and 2 Body Power, capped at three Blades by 103.2.b and at one free attach by [Weaponmaster] firing on play; nothing here scores

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07, issue #171 — the third of the ten uncatalogued legend names, and the first entry to use SFD-183. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. The [Equip] costs and the Power are counted in the entry's own terminatesIn, per the project's standing correction that two published figures had counted neither. Trap check: 807.1.d is cited so the Assault is not claimed on an empty battlefield (807.1.d / 383.4.e / 461 — the attack needs a garrison); 818.1 is cited so attaching is not mistaken for playing and [Weaponmaster] is not claimed on later turns; the single-point-of-failure risk is stated with 465.2.c.3 rather than hidden; the wider one-Equipment-per-attacker use of the same legend is flagged as a separate entry rather than folded into this ledger; Doran's Blade is vanilla on purpose, because 434.1.c would append any drawback text to the carrier.
