Radiant Dawn × Leona, Determined × Fiora — every attack stuns, buffs and readies
Pieces
- Radiant Dawn ×1
OGN-261 · legend · calm/order
When you stun one or more enemy units, buff a friendly unit. (If it doesn't have a buff, it gets a +1 Might buff.)
- Leona, Determined ×1
OGN-238 · engine · order
[Shield] (+1 Might while I'm a defender.) When I attack, stun an enemy unit here. (It doesn't deal combat damage this turn.)
- Fiora, Worthy ×1
SFD-180 · payoff · order
When a unit you control becomes [Mighty], you may pay 1 Order Power to ready it. (A unit is Mighty while it has 5+ Might.)
Payoff
Deck
- Radiant Dawn (OGN-261) IS the legend, and its Calm/Order identity covers both Order units (103.1.b).
Prerequisites
- THREE CARDS, THREE RULES, ONE CHAIN: stun → buff → Mighty → ready. Leona's stun is a 'When I attack' trigger with no cost and no extra condition, so 383.4.e places it at the Attacker designation every combat; Radiant Dawn's 'When you stun one or more enemy units' pays for it; 703 makes her buff +1 Might and 709 fires 'becomes Mighty' if the recipient sat at exactly 4; Fiora then readies it for 1 Order Power. Every attack is a free untap.
- AIM THE BUFF, BECAUSE RADIANT DAWN CHOOSES A UNIT AND 702.3 CAPS IT. 'Buff a friendly unit' is a choose (702.2.a), and 702.3 / 702.3.a mean a friend that already carries a buff receives nothing and never becomes Mighty. The recipient has to be an UNBUFFED body at exactly 4 Might — a 3-Might one reaches 4 and stops, a 5-Might one was already Mighty (709's own second example). Leona herself is 4 Might, so on the turn she attacks she is the natural target, and Fiora readying her after her attack is a second Standard Move or a defence on the way back.
- THE STUN IS WORTH SOMETHING ON ITS OWN, AND ONLY ONE RULE MAKES IT PAY. #61 established that 423.1.b (which removes a stunned unit's contribution to combat damage) is not what makes a stun matter — 423.1.c read with 710 is: the stunned body still needs damage equal to its FULL current Might to die. So the stun stops the defender hitting back and nothing more, unless OGN-079 Leona, Zealot is at that battlefield to collapse it to 1 Might. Zealot is Calm and legal here; she is a lead on this row rather than a use, because the entry's claim is the ready, not the kill.
- 423.1.a.1 forbids stunning an already-stunned unit and 423.1.a.2 clears the stun at the end-of-turn cleanup, so this is one stun per combat and never a lock — which is why #61 concluded the stun lens yields ENGINE and never a BURST.
- One Order Power a turn against #44's measured free floor of 2, so it runs itself. Total board cost is 7 Energy and 1 Order Power, and the legend is free. CORRECTED 2026-10-25 (#461): it runs without shrinking the board, which is not the same as free. Each turn's Order Power is a recycled rune that goes to the bottom of the Rune Deck (416.1.b) while 430.1 channels from the top, so before the Rune Deck is empty the board grows one rune a turn instead of two: run every turn from T3, it reaches twelve on T9 instead of T6 going first and on T8 instead of T6 going second. It is free from the turn the twelfth rune is out. Status unchanged.
- Do not expect Radiant Dawn's buff on a stun the OPPONENT is stunned by on their own turn: her condition is 'when YOU stun', and Leona's trigger needs her to be the attacker, which only happens on yours.
Steps
- Radiant Dawn is your legend. Play Fiora, Worthy (3 Energy) and Leona, Determined (4 Energy + 1 Order Power).
- Move Leona to an occupied enemy battlefield so she gains the Attacker designation (464.2.c.1, 464.2.c.3) — an empty one gives none (807.1.d, 461).
- Her attack trigger stuns an enemy unit there (383.4.e).
- Radiant Dawn's trigger fires on that stun: buff a friendly unit sitting at exactly 4 Might and carrying no buff. 703 takes it to 5 and 709 fires 'becomes Mighty'.
- Fiora's trigger goes up: pay 1 Order Power to ready it. If the recipient was Leona herself, she is upright again immediately after attacking.
- Repeat every combat. 423.1.a.2 clears the stun at the end-of-turn cleanup, so the same defender is a legal target again next turn.
Per iteration
+1 stun and +1 unit readied per attack, for 1 Order Power
How it ends
engine — an extra action and a blanked defender every combat; it scores nothing by itself

AUTHORED 2026-09-06 from issue #160. OGN-238 Leona, Determined is catalogued once (leona-zealot-stun-might-collapse) and OGN-261 twice, but the pair had never been written and neither had ever met SFD-180 — radiant-dawn-stun-buff (21 partners, 2 entries) and fiora-buff-ready (98 partners, 8 entries carrying Fiora) meeting on one chain. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 383.4.e, 423.1.a.1, 423.1.a.2, 423.1.b, 423.1.c, 461, 464.2.c.1, 464.2.c.3, 702.2.a, 702.3, 702.3.a, 703, 708, 709, 710 and 807.1.d opened in the Core Rules file. No unruled reading. #61's correction is applied rather than re-derived: what makes a stunned unit pay is 423.1.c with 710, not 423.1.b.
