The Ruination or looped Sprite Burst — clear every battlefield
Pieces
- The Ruination ×1
UNL-180 · payoff · order
Kill all units.
- Sprite Burst ×1
UNL-069 · payoff · mind
Play two ready 3 Might Sprite unit tokens with [Temporary]. (Kill each at the start of its controller's Beginning Phase, before scoring.)
Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Mind and Order (Ruination is Order, Sprite Burst is Mind).
Prerequisites
- Infinite Energy running. Either wipe the board with The Ruination or loop Sprite Burst for enough Sprites to win every showdown.
Steps
- With the loop up, cast The Ruination: every unit dies, including yours — the loop's own units are replayed from hand.
- Or: loop Sprite Burst until you hold more ready Might than every defender, then take the battlefields.
How it ends
engine — hands the loop deck every battlefield for the scoring finish

Quote: 'Simply send everything into the abyss with a copy of The Ruination or by looping back Sprite Burst until you have enough might to challenge everything.' Rides the Lux infinite-Energy loop: every piece is replayed from hand through Retreat/Forge recycling, so 'repeat' costs nothing once the engine is up. Source quotes verified by hand through a reader proxy on 2026-09-03 (the page itself blocks fetches). REFUTE 2026-09-03: SURVIVES — the two ready Sprites can Standard-Move and Establish Control uncontested after The Ruination: +2 Conquer points the same turn (470); they die before any Hold (816.1.b), so put non-Temporary bodies there for the Holds. The Ruination kills your own Renata too — replay her under the loop. R7 applies only if Sprite Burst is looped rather than held in triplicate. HAND-WALKED 2026-09-04 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-sprites-and-dragons.md): R7 does not apply to either half of what this entry claims. The Ruination is a ONE-SHOT - 9 Energy is free under the engine and its 3 Power is three rune recycles out of a 12-rune board - so it never rides the loop and consumes no Forge recycle slot; the recycle budget only binds cards that must come back through the deck every pass. And Sprite Burst is 5 Energy with NO Power, so three copies in hand are six ready Sprites without looping at all. R7 would only bite the single-copy looping optimisation, and R7 was itself RETIRED on 2026-09-04 as arithmetic rather than ruled (the joint loop ledger, docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-loop-budget-ledger.md, issue #21). The Sprites enter ready, so after the wipe they Conquer two emptied battlefields for 2 points the same turn (470), and 816.1.b still stops them ever Holding. SOURCE READ IN FULL 2026-09-04: the whole TCGplayer article was opened through a reader proxy and the quote above confirmed verbatim (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-source-verification-tcgplayer.md). Shares its Ruination + Sprite Burst board-clearing core with `time-warp-hold-burst` (CHAIN), which composes the identical wipe with three Time Warps for a from-zero finish; neither entry named the other before this note (issue #152).
