Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains are Body and Order: OGN-269 The Boss (Sett), whose 'When you conquer, ready me' and buff-spending save are both live in this line.
Prerequisites
- THE ORDER OF THE TWO BATTLEFIELDS IS FORCED. 'Units here have [Ganking]' is scoped to the Hillock, so Sett only has the keyword while he is standing on it. He must conquer the Hillock first and gank off it; do it the other way round and he has no way to cross (144.4 restricts a Standard Move to base-to-battlefield and battlefield-to-base without Ganking).
- THE BATTLEFIELD IS RANDOM AND CANNOT BE DOUBLED UP: random 1 of 3 in Duel (485.5) and Skirmish (487.5), chosen in Match (486.5); 103.4.c and Tournament Rules 402.1 forbid a second copy by name. Without the Hillock this is a one-battlefield line.
- TWO POINTS, NOT MORE. 470 caps Scoring at once per Battlefield per turn and a Duel has two battlefields (485.4). The buff refresh on the second conquer is fuel for the fight, not a third point.
- 810.1.c.3 IS WHY IT IS EXACTLY ONE EXTRA HOP: 'It does not give additional abilities or activations of Movement, only new options for the Standard Move.' Sett still has one Standard Move and one exhaust to spend on it - First Mate's ready is what gives him the exhaust to pay.
- First Mate's ready is a play trigger, so it is one ready per copy of First Mate, not a repeatable ability.
Steps
- Sett to the Windswept Hillock; 'When I'm played' already gave him a buff, and he can spend it for +4 Might this turn.
- Conquer the Hillock: Establishing Control is a Conquer (466.5.d) and Scores 1 point. 'When I conquer, buff me' re-arms the buff, and the legend's 'When you conquer, ready me' readies The Boss.
- Play First Mate (3 Energy): 'When you play me, ready another unit' - Sett.
- Sett has [Ganking] while he stands on the Hillock, so Standard Move battlefield to battlefield (144.4.c.1), exhausting him.
- Spend the refreshed buff for +4 Might and conquer the second battlefield: a second point.
Per iteration
+2 points in one turn, for one First Mate and Sett's own buff economy
How it ends
two points in a single turn; not a loop - one ready per First Mate

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue62-table-of-fourteen.md), issue #62 section 2.6. OGN-269 The Boss had no entry. The source states the sequence correctly; what the walk adds is that the order is not a preference but a constraint - the Hillock lends Ganking only to units standing on it, so it has to be the first conquer, and 810.1.c.3 means the loan is one new destination for the one Standard Move Sett already had, not an extra move. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Trap check: no attack trigger is needed, since a Conquer comes from Establishing Control (466.5.d) or a Showdown (348.2.a.1); no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; the buff is a status (124.2) and survives the move. Depends on no unruled reading.
