Sinister Poro — a 1 Might body wins the combat by emptying the garrison
Pieces
- Sinister Poro ×1
UNL-137 · engine · chaos
When I attack, you may pay 1 Energy to move an enemy unit here to its base.
Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Chaos. The Poro is mono-Chaos, so any legend with Chaos runs it.
- The Poro must be ready to pay for its own Standard Move: 143.4 makes it enter exhausted and it has no [Accelerate], so it lands one turn and attacks the next (315.1.b readies it).
Prerequisites
- TRAP 1 IS SATISFIED, NOT SIDESTEPPED. The Poro walks into a battlefield that HAS a garrison, so 461 makes a Combat exist, 323.9 stages it, 323.13 opens it and 464.2.c.1/464.2.c.3 hand out the Attacker designation — which is exactly what 383.4.e requires ('Attack Triggers are Triggered Abilities that trigger when a Unit or Player gains the Attacker designation for the first time during a combat') and what 807.1.d defines. Walking into an EMPTY battlefield would give no trigger at all.
- THE TIMING CLOSES INSIDE STEP 1. 464.2.e adds the trigger to the Combat Chain during the Combat Showdown Step; it resolves there, the defender goes to its base, and only then does the game reach Step 2, whose 465.1 reads 'If both Attacking and Defending units remain at this battlefield, the following Tasks become Outstanding' — the condition now fails, so no damage is dealt in either direction (465.3 skips the FEPR process and cancels the outstanding tasks).
- AND THE PORO STAYS. 466.1.a.2 inserts '3d. Recall Attackers present at the Battlefield if Defenders are still present' — there are none, so it does not fire. 466.3.a wins the combat, 466.5 establishes Control and 466.5.d makes that a Conquer.
- THE ARITHMETIC WITH THE QUANTITIES DECLARED. One trigger per attack, one unit per trigger, so one Poro clears a garrison of exactly ONE for 2 Energy + 1 Chaos Power once plus 1 Energy on the trigger. A garrison of k needs k Poros moving together — 144.3 ('Players may perform multiple Units' standard move simultaneously. This is treated as one game action performed on multiple Units') with 144.3.a forcing the shared destination — and 103.2.b caps that at 3, so a garrison of 4 is out of reach.
- WHAT REFUTES IT, AND IT IS PRINTED IN THE POOL. The trigger sits on the Combat Chain, so the defender gets Focus windows (347.1) to add a body or kill a 1 Might unit; if a single defender survives, 465.1 is met and the Poro dies to any damage. And UNL-163 Mageseeker Investigator (Order, E4 M4) is the printed tax on the 144.3 move this entry needs: 'Opponents must pay 1 rainbow Power for each unit beyond the first to move multiple units to my battlefield at the same time.'
- THE 'YOU MAY' IS A CHOICE MADE AT FINALIZATION (383.3.a), and the Energy is paid then, not when the trigger is placed.
- ONE ENERGY AT REACTION SPEED ANSWERS THE BODY THIS ENGINE STANDS ON (Sinister Poro (M1 x1)). OGN-133 Flurry of Blades is Body, 1 Energy: "[Reaction] (Play any time, even before spells and abilities resolve.) Deal 1 to all units at battlefields." 143.2.a kills a unit whose marked damage equals or exceeds its Might and 142.4.b defines Lethal Damage as "a non-zero amount greater than or equal to that Unit's Might", so one damage is lethal to every body of Might 1 or less. RUNNING MORE COPIES IS NOT A DEFENCE: 370.1.a.2 makes events simultaneous when they "are all the result of the same Game Action", so the sweep kills every copy at once. And because it carries [Reaction], 813.1.c.1 lets it be played "during Closed States on any player's turn" - it never has to be cast a turn early the way the base-reaching removals do, and it can land in response to the very trigger this engine exists to fire. WHAT PROTECTS IT: this entry's cards are chaos, so the second domain is still free and CHOOSING IT DECIDES WHICH PROTECTION YOU GET - 103.1.b allows exactly one partner, so these are alternatives and not a list you can run together. only if the second domain is FURY: VEN-018 Rage Amplifier (gear, 'Your units have +1 Might' - the only UNCONDITIONAL board-wide one, +2 while Empowered) | only if the second domain is ORDER: OGN-243 Darius, Executioner ('Other friendly units have +1 Might HERE' - his battlefield only, and never himself); OGS-013 Garen, Commander (same clause as Darius, same limits) | only if the second domain is MIND: UNL-077 Soul Shepherd ('Your TOKEN units have +1 Might' - tokens only, nothing for a printed body); SFD-089 Rumble, Scrapper ('Your MECHS have +1 Might' - Mech tag only) | colourless, so legal whatever the second domain is: OGN-294 Trifarian War Camp (colourless battlefield, 'Units here have +1 Might') - but 485.5 makes a battlefield you bring a 1-in-3, and 103.4.c forbids two of the same name. A single-target pump is no use against a sweep that hits every body at once, which is why only permanent, board-wide sources are listed.
Steps
- Land the Poro (2 Energy + 1 Chaos Power). It enters exhausted (143.4) and readies in your next Awakening (315.1.b).
- Standard-Move it into a battlefield the opponent controls that has exactly one unit (144.4.a; cost 144.2). 450 and 190.3.a.1 apply Contested.
- The Cleanup stages a Combat (323.9) and opens it (323.13). 464.2.c.1 makes you the Attacker and 464.2.c.3 designates the Poro.
- Its attack trigger goes on the Combat Chain (464.2.e); pay 1 Energy and the defender goes to its base.
- 465.1 no longer holds, so there is no Combat Damage Step (465.3). 466.3.a wins it, 466.5 gives Control and 466.5.d makes it a Conquer.
Per iteration
one Conquer per attack for 1 Energy, with no damage dealt or taken and the Poro left standing
How it ends
engine only — one point per turn the Poro readies and attacks, bounded by 470

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-movement-lens-candidates.md), issue #58 candidate 2. The candidate survives unchanged; the walk adds the two rules that make the timing airtight (464.2.e for where the trigger lives, 465.3 for what happens when 465.1 fails) and the printed counter, UNL-163. Trap check: the attack is legitimate because the battlefield is garrisoned when Combat opens; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no recall as a move; no Awaken Energy carried.
