A [Reaction] +1 Might is the second answer to the 1-Might-per-body problem, and the floor is snapshotted on the way down
Pieces
- Siphon Power ×1
OGN-266 · enabler · mind/order
[Reaction] (Play any time, even before spells and abilities resolve.) Choose a battlefield. Give friendly units there +1 Might this turn and enemy units there -1 Might this turn, to a minimum of 1 Might.
- Herald of the Arcane ×1
OGN-265 · engine · mind/order
1 Energy, Exhaust: Play a 1 Might Recruit unit token.
Payoff
Deck
- ONE LEGEND: Siphon Power is a Signature card tagged Viktor, so 103.2.d.2 forces Herald of the Arcane (OGN-265), Mind/Order — the spell's own two domains, a matched pair.
- 103.2.d.1 caps the deck at three Signature cards, and three Siphon Powers spend all of it.
- The Recruits gathered at ONE battlefield, since the spell names a single battlefield and reaches nothing else.
Prerequisites
- THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES IS MIGHT PER BODY, NOT NUMBER OF BODIES. `OGN-133 Flurry of Blades` (Body, 1 Energy, [Reaction], 'Deal 1 to all units at battlefields') kills EVERY 1-Might token simultaneously for any number of them, by 143.2.a — so a Recruit faucet is not made safe by running faster. The project records `UNL-077 Soul Shepherd` (Mind, 'Your token units have +1 :rb_might:') as the fix; Siphon Power is a SECOND one, and the difference is worth stating: the Shepherd is a permanent static over every token you own, Siphon Power is one turn at one battlefield, bought at [Reaction] speed in response to the sweeper already on the Chain (813.1.c.1). Insurance you pay for only when it is needed, against a body you have to keep alive.
- THE FLOOR IS SNAPSHOTTED, WHICH IS WHY THE -1 HALF IS SMALL AND HONEST. 477.3.b: 'When an arithmetic effect from a source that is not a passive ability has a limitation that applies, it is limited at the time of its application, and is "remembered" at that limited level for the duration of its effect.' Its worked example is exactly this shape ('-4 [M] to a min of 1' on a 2-Might body generates -1). So the -1 does nothing at all to an enemy already at 1 Might, and it never stacks into a kill: 143.2.a needs marked damage, and a Might reduction marks none.
- AND DECREASES ARE APPLIED LAST. 477.3.e.2.a: 'Negative values, or decreases, to Might are applied last.' So the enemy -1 resolves after every increase they have, and your own +1 is applied in the increase pass — the two halves of the card never race each other.
- THE FAUCET'S RATE IS ONE BODY A TURN AND THE ENTRY DOES NOT PRETEND OTHERWISE. The legend's ability costs 1 Energy AND its own exhaust, so 415.3.a hands it back once per Awakening: one Recruit per turn, forever, free of cards. What Siphon Power buys is that the accumulated swarm survives one sweeper — which for a body-counting payoff is the whole game.
- IT IS A CONTINUOUS MODIFIER, NOT A BUFF. 'Give friendly units there +1 :rb_might: this turn' places no counter, so 702.3's one-buff-per-unit cap and 703's fixed +1 are silent and it stacks with a real buff and with Soul Shepherd's static — a deck can run both answers and be at 3 Might per token for a turn.
- 185.1 and 185.2.b are why the tokens are units at all for both halves: a token unit has a Might and follows the rules for its type, so it is a legal recipient of the +1 and a legal victim of the sweeper.
Steps
- Each turn, pay 1 Energy and exhaust Herald of the Arcane: play a 1 Might Recruit unit token. 415.3.a readies the legend at your next Awakening.
- Gather the Recruits at one battlefield you control.
- When the opponent plays a sweeper — `OGN-133 Flurry of Blades` is the one that matters, at 1 Energy for 1 damage to every unit at battlefields — respond with Siphon Power at [Reaction] speed (813.1.c.1), naming that battlefield.
- Your Recruits are at 2 Might this turn and survive the 1 damage (143.2.a needs marked damage equalling or exceeding Might); their units there are at -1, floored at 1 and snapshotted there (477.3.b).
- The swarm carries into your Beginning Phase intact.
Per iteration
one Recruit token per turn, and a whole battlefield's worth of them saved from a 1-damage sweep for 2 Energy + 1 Power
How it ends
engine — one 1-Might body a turn for 1 Energy, indefinitely, with one turn of sweeper insurance per Siphon Power (three a game); nothing here scores on its own

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
OGN-266 Siphon Power was in ZERO entries; OGN-265 Herald of the Arcane appears in three others (`heimerdinger-herald-legend-recruits`, `gemcraft-karma-herald-buff-faucet`, `herald-heimerdinger-armory-plaza`), none of which addresses the sweeper that ends every 1-Might token line — that is the different number here. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.2.b, 103.2.d.1, 103.2.d.2, 143.2.a, 185.1, 185.2.b, 185.2.d, 415.3.a, 477.3.b, 477.3.e.2.a, 702.3, 703, 813.1.c.1 opened in the Core Rules file. Soul Shepherd remains the only PERMANENT fix; OGN-266 Siphon Power is a one-turn, one-battlefield [Reaction] answer in the same identity, so the claim wants 'permanent' in it.
