Solari Chief is removal that arrives as a body, and 428.1.a.1 is why a Kill Instruction ignores Might entirely

Payoff
Deck
- Radiant Dawn is Calm/Order: Solari Chief and Facebreaker are Order, Solari Shrine is Calm (103.1.b).
- 103.2.b allows three copies of Solari Chief, which is the version of this line that needs no stun spell at all.
Prerequisites
- SOLARI CHIEF IS NOT THE ONLY MIGHT-CAPLESS REMOVAL, AND ISSUE #61 SAID IT WAS. A grep of the whole corpus for 'kill' returns at least five others, four of them in Order and so inside Radiant Dawn's own identity: OGN-229 Vengeance (E4 P2, 'Kill a unit.', no condition at all), OGN-213 Hidden Blade (E2 P1 and 0 from Hidden, 'Kill a unit at a battlefield. Its controller draws 2.'), OGS-012 Blast of Power (E6 P1, 'Kill a unit at a battlefield.'), SFD-164 Drag Under (E5 P1, and 'costs [2] less to play from anywhere other than your hand') and UNL-186 Death from Below (Fury/Chaos E4 P1). Vengeance is cheaper in Energy than Solari Chief and needs no stun at all. What Solari Chief actually is: the only one of the six that ARRIVES AS A BODY (4 Might), and the only one that primes itself.
- THE KILL IS NOT DAMAGE, WHICH IS THE POINT AGAINST A BIG BODY. 428.1.a.1: 'Active Kill is when the action is taken when instructed by a game effect or as a cost for a card or ability', and 428.2 places the permanent 'directly in the trash from its place of origin'. Might never enters the calculation, so 423.1.c - 'A Stunned Unit must still have damage applied to it equal to, or greater than, its full might value to be killed' - is bypassed and a 10 Might body dies to it exactly as a 1 Might body does. This is the honest form of #61's claim.
- THE BUFF COMES FROM THE STUN BRANCH, NEVER THE KILL BRANCH. Radiant Dawn reads 'When you stun one or more enemy units'. Solari Chief's text is 'If it is stunned, kill it. Otherwise, stun it' - on the kill branch nothing is stunned, so nothing is buffed. The buff in this line is Facebreaker's, or the first Solari Chief's. Spend it on OGN-207 Call to Glory (see radiant-dawn-stun-buff-free-glory) or on OGN-282 Monastery of Hirana, 'When you conquer here, you may spend a buff to draw 1', which is colourless.
- SOLARI SHRINE'S CONDITION IS MET, AND ITS CAP IS ONE PER TURN. 'When you kill a stunned enemy unit' - Solari Chief's target is stunned at the moment it dies, and the kill is yours. 'You may exhaust this' is the cap: 414.1.b, 'A Game Object that is already Exhausted cannot be Exhausted again', and 415.3.a readies it only in your own Awakening Phase. None of the five cards in the pool that ready gear (VEN-149, VEN-150, SFD-221, OGN-162, VEN-068) is Calm or Order, so inside this identity it is one draw per turn and there is no way around it. The Shrine is gear, so 143.4 ('Units enter the Board exhausted') never touches it.
- THE HIDDEN HALF IS CONFINED, THE UNIT HALF IS NOT. 811.1.d.2 makes Facebreaker's targets 'chosen from among options at that battlefield', so the priming stun lands where the card was hidden - and it also stuns a FRIENDLY body there, since the card says so. Solari Chief is played from hand and its text names no location ('choose an enemy unit'), so the kill reaches any battlefield.
- ARITHMETIC WITH THE QUANTITIES DECLARED. One [A] on the previous turn plus E5 + 1 Power removes ANY enemy unit whatever its Might, and leaves behind a 4 Might body, one card drawn and one buff. Without the Facebreaker the same line is two Solari Chiefs - E10 + 2 Power for the same removal plus a second body - which is why the entry declares three copies. The stun does not survive the turn (423.1.a.2), so both copies must be played in the same turn.
Steps
- On your turn, pay [A] to hide Facebreaker at a battlefield you control (811.1.b); it gains [Reaction] beginning next turn.
- Play Solari Shrine (3 Energy). It is gear, so it enters ready.
- Play Facebreaker from Hidden for 0 Energy: stun the enemy unit you intend to remove, at the battlefield it was hidden at (811.1.d.2). It also stuns a friendly body there.
- Radiant Dawn triggers on the enemy stun and buffs a friendly unit (426.1.b).
- Play Solari Chief (5 Energy + 1 Power) and choose that stunned enemy: 'If it is stunned, kill it.' 428.1.a.1 makes it a Kill Instruction, so its Might is irrelevant.
- Solari Shrine triggers: exhaust it, draw 1. Its cap is one per turn (414.1.b, 415.3.a).
- Without a Facebreaker in hand the same line is two Solari Chiefs in one turn: the first stuns, the second kills.
Per iteration
one enemy unit of ANY Might removed for 5 Energy + 1 Power and one [A] spent the previous turn, leaving a 4 Might body, one card drawn and one buff
How it ends
engine only - 103.2.b caps Solari Chief at three copies and each is a single 'When you play me'; nothing here gains a point and nothing repeats within a turn

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-stun-lens-candidates.md), issue #61 candidate 2, REWRITTEN. OGN-225 Solari Chief, OGN-072 Solari Shrine and OGN-261 Radiant Dawn appeared in NO entry before this; OGN-220 Facebreaker is in three and the overlap is declared. THE WALK'S CORRECTION: #61 called Solari Chief 'la unica remocion del pool sin tope de Might que cuesta menos que su target'. A grep of the whole corpus for 'kill' refutes it - OGN-229 Vengeance, OGN-213 Hidden Blade, OGS-012 Blast of Power, SFD-164 Drag Under and UNL-186 Death from Below all kill with no Might cap, and the first four are Order, inside Radiant Dawn's identity. The entry now stands on what IS true: Solari Chief is the only one that arrives as a body and the only one that primes itself, and 428.1.a.1 with 428.2 are why a Kill Instruction bypasses 423.1.c entirely. The walk also corrected the buff attribution - Radiant Dawn pays on the 'Otherwise, stun it' branch, never on the kill - and re-checked the gear-ready uniqueness claim with a bare -i grep over the whole pool, per the rule in CLAUDE.md. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 103.1.b, 103.2.b, 143.4, 414.1.b, 415.3.a, 423.1.a.2, 423.1.c, 426.1.b, 428.1.a.1, 428.2, 811.1.b, 811.1.d.2. Ban check: none of the four carries a [BANNED marker in data/corpus_flat.txt. Trap check: no attack designation is claimed; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; no recall; no Gold; no battlefield of its own, though the Hidden half needs one you control and 323.7 trashes the card if you lose it. Depends on no unruled reading.
