Combo · ENGINE
Rumble, Scrapper × three Svellsongur — eight Mechs a Hold, at eleven Might each
Pieces
- Rumble, Scrapper ×1
SFD-089 · engine · mind
Your Mechs have +1 Might (including me). When I hold, play a 3 Might Mech unit token to your base.
- Svellsongur ×3
SFD-059 · engine · calm
[Equip] 1 Energy + 1 Calm Power (1 Energy + 1 Calm Power: Attach this to a unit you control.) As this is attached to a unit, copy that unit's text to this Equipment's effect text for as long as this is attached to it.
Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains must cover Calm and Mind — OGN-255 Nine-Tailed Fox, SFD-189 Fire Below the Mountain, UNL-189 Bashful Bloom, VEN-145 Curator of the Sands.
Prerequisites
- SVELLSONGUR COPIES THE WHOLE TEXT, AND RUMBLE'S OTHER SENTENCE IS A STATIC. This is the entry's real content: the eight instances are eight copies of 'Your Mechs have +1 Might (including me)' as well as eight copies of the hold trigger. 476.1 applies each of the eight exactly once (there is no recursion), so the static stacks to +8 Might on every Mech you control. 187.4 gives the token 'the Mech tag' by rule, so it reaches all of them with no play trigger and no cost, and Rumble carries the Mech tag himself.
- The board it produces: eight 3-Might Mech tokens per Hold, each standing at 3 + 8 = 11 Might, with Rumble himself at 4 + 8 = 12. Against rumble-scrapper-sentinel-mechs, which is the same card under the OTHER multiplier — Blue Sentinel gives 1 + K executions and its static is nothing, so two Sentinels make three Mechs at 4 Might and add 6 rainbow Power. This gives eight at 11 and no Power. Neither dominates; the identities are different (mono-Mind there, Calm/Mind here) and so are the products.
- It is a continuous modifier, NOT a buff, so 702.3's one-per-unit cap never touches it — the same distinction CLAUDE.md draws for Lee Sin, Centered and for UNL-077 Soul Shepherd's 'Your token units have +1 Might'. A real buff can still be placed on top of it.
- The Mechs are born at your BASE and enter exhausted (143.4), so they cannot pay 144.2's exhaust to walk on the turn they appear; they move at the NEXT Main Phase, all at once as one game action (144.3, shared destination 144.3.a). SFD-171 Renata Glasc, Industrialist would remove that delay (R25 = A) but she is mono-Order and 103.1.b.1 bars her from a Calm/Mind deck. The delay is priced, not hidden.
- Rumble is the single point of failure and he is standing on a battlefield to Hold it. He defends at 12, which is not nothing — but 137.3.a detaches every Svellsongur the moment he dies, and the +8 goes with them: the Mechs already on the board drop from 11 Might to 3 in the same instant.
- Cost, counted whole: Rumble 5 Energy + 1 Mind Power; each Svellsongur is 3 Energy + 1 Calm Power to play PLUS its [Equip] of 1 Energy + 1 Calm Power. 17 Energy and 7 Power, once.
Steps
- Play Rumble, Scrapper (5 Energy + 1 Mind Power) to a battlefield and establish Control of it.
- Attach Svellsongur A, B and C to him in that order. 136.2.c appends each copied text to his Rules Text, 136.2.d makes the copied 'I' and 'me' mean Rumble, and 434.1.c gives him ALL the Effect Text of ALL three; 477.2.c places the appends in Layer 2, 479.1 finds no dependency, 480.3 orders them by Timestamp. Two instances, then four, then eight.
- Every friendly Mech is now at +8 Might from the eight statics, Rumble included (12).
- Survive to your Beginning Phase. Scoring Step (315.2.b.2): you Hold, scoring the ordinary 1 point (471.1, capped by 470).
- The hold trigger fires eight times: eight 3-Might Mech unit tokens to your base, each standing at 11 Might.
- They ready at your next Awaken (315.1.b) and walk wherever you need them as one action (144.3). Repeat every Hold.
Per iteration
+8 Mech unit tokens at 11 Might per Hold
How it ends
engine — an unbounded army of 11-Might bodies; it scores nothing beyond the ordinary Hold point

AUTHORED 2026-09-06 from issue #160. SFD-089 was an uncatalogued partner of svellsongur-copy. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 136.2.c, 136.2.d, 143.4, 144.2, 144.3, 144.3.a, 187.4, 315.1.b, 315.2.b.2, 434.1.c, 476.1, 477.2.c, 479.1, 480.3, 702.3, 137.3.a and 103.1.b.1 opened in the Core Rules file. Stands on R6 = A (ruled 2026-09-04); no new reading. The point the walk had to check and that no previous Svellsongur entry raised: the copy carries a STATIC as well as a trigger, and 476.1 makes eight statics eight applications rather than one. Trap check: a Hold needs no Attacker designation (807.1.d / 383.4.e / 461); no token recycled (185 / 416.1) and none asked to reach the trash (186.1); no [Temporary]; no [Repeat]; nothing added in Awaken so 167 does not bite; the [Equip] costs are counted.
