Payoff
Deck
- Unforgiven (OGN-259) IS the legend, and its Calm/Chaos identity is exactly what Svellsongur (Calm) and Treasure Hunter (Chaos) need (103.1.b).
Prerequisites
- TWO MOVES A TURN, EIGHT INSTANCES EACH: 16 Gold. The Standard Move is move one and its cost is the Hunter's own exhaust (144.1.a, 144.2); the legend's ability is move two and its cost is 2 Energy and the LEGEND's exhaust, not the Hunter's — 420.3.a puts the exhaust price only on the Standard Move, so an effect move works on an already-exhausted body. Both are Moves under 446.1 and 420.2.a, so 'When I move' fires on each. This is the same two-move structure yasuo-stellacorn-svellsongur-draw walks with one Svellsongur; here the stack is three, and the payoff is Power rather than cards.
- WHICH MATTERS, because the draw version has a ceiling this one does not. #59's rule: 431.1.a turns the draw past an empty deck into a Burn Out and 194.1.d hands the opponent a point. Gold has no such wall — 187.5 makes each token '[Reaction][>] Kill this, [exhaust]: [Add] [rainbow]', so sixteen a turn simply accumulate on the board.
- The Power is next turn's. The Gold are printed exhausted and 315.1 Awaken has already run by your Main Phase, so they ready at your NEXT Awaken (315.1.b). SFD-171 Renata Glasc, Industrialist would make them enter ready (R25 = A) but she is mono-Order and 103.1.b.1 bars her from a Calm/Chaos deck — this line simply banks a turn behind, and against #44's measured free floor of 2 Power a turn that is still a transformation.
- MOVE HIM TO A BATTLEFIELD YOU ALREADY CONTROL. 190.3.a.1 applies Contested only to units moving to or being played to a battlefield whose control is in question; arriving at one that is already yours opens nothing. Moving him to an enemy-held battlefield would make him the Attacker (464.2.c.1) and he is a 1-Might body — Svellsongur's Might Bonus is +0 (137.3), so three of them add nothing to his survival.
- He ends every turn back at his base, which is the point: the only exposure is base removal (SFD-158 and the like), never combat. The engine's real fragility is that all three Svellsongur ride one 1-Might body, and 137.3.a detaches every Might Bonus and every copied instance the moment he dies.
- Cost, counted whole: Treasure Hunter 2 Energy; each Svellsongur 3 Energy + 1 Calm Power to play PLUS 1 Energy + 1 Calm Power to [Equip]. 14 Energy and 6 Calm Power to assemble, then 2 Energy a turn for the legend's move.
- Rider outside uses: OGN-173 Ride the Wind (Chaos, 2 Energy + 1 Power, 'Move a friendly unit and ready it') is a third move AND re-enables the Standard Move, so each copy is worth 16 more Gold in the turn it is cast. It is a card spent, not an engine, which is why it sits here rather than in uses.
Steps
- Play Treasure Hunter (2 Energy) to your base.
- Attach Svellsongur A, B and C to him, in that order (3 Energy + 1 Calm Power each to play, 1 Energy + 1 Calm Power each to [Equip]). 434.1.c gives him ALL the Effect Text of ALL three, and 476.1 / 479.1 / 480.3 compose them in attach order: 2, then 4, then 8 instances of 'When I move, play a Gold gear token exhausted'.
- Main Phase: Standard-Move him from his base to a battlefield you already control (144.1.a, 144.4.a), exhausting him. Eight instances fire: eight Gold gear tokens, exhausted.
- Activate Unforgiven (2 Energy, exhaust the legend): move him from that battlefield back to his base. Eight more Gold. Sixteen this turn.
- Your next Awaken readies all sixteen Gold, the Hunter and the legend (315.1.b). Repeat every turn.
Per iteration
+16 Gold gear tokens per turn, for 2 Energy, spendable as 16 rainbow Power from the following Awaken
How it ends

AUTHORED 2026-09-06 from issue #160. SFD-130 is an uncatalogued partner of svellsongur-copy — it is catalogued with Renata and Ride the Wind (treasure-hunter-industrialist-gold), never with the copier. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 144.1.a, 144.2, 144.4.a, 190.3.a.1, 187.5, 315.1.b, 137.3, 137.3.a, 420.2.a, 420.3.a, 446.1, 476.1, 479.1, 480.3 and 103.1.b.1 opened in the Core Rules file. Stands on R6 = A and R9 (retired 2026-09-04 by finding 420.1 / 420.2.a and the Yasuo example rather than by ruling); no new reading. Trap check: no attack, and the entry says outright to move to a battlefield you already control so that 190.3.a.1 opens nothing; no token is recycled (185 / 416.1); no [Temporary]; no [Repeat]; a Move is not a Recall, so 455 / 456 / 458 do not apply; nothing is added in Awaken so 167 does not bite; the [Equip] costs are counted.
