Teemo, Strategist under Swift Scout — Evelynn drags the attacker in, and a deck two thirds [Hidden] answers with five damage
Pieces
- Teemo, Strategist ×3
OGN-121 · payoff · mind
[Hidden] (Hide now for 1 Power of any domain to react with later for 0 Energy.) When I defend, choose an enemy unit here and reveal the top 5 cards of your Main Deck. Deal 1 to that unit for each card with [Hidden] revealed this way, then recycle the revealed cards.
- Swift Scout ×1
OGN-263 · legend · mind/chaos
You may pay 1 Energy to hide a card with [Hidden] instead of 1 Power of any domain. 1 Energy, Exhaust: Put a Teemo unit you own into your hand from your Champion Zone or the board.
- Evelynn, Entrancing ×3
UNL-141 · engine · chaos
[Hidden] (Hide now for 1 Power of any domain to react with later for 0 Energy.) [Backline] (I must be assigned combat damage last.) When you play me from face down on your turn, you may move an enemy unit at a different location to my battlefield.
- Teemo, Scout ×3
OGN-197 · enabler · chaos
[Hidden] (Hide now for 1 Power of any domain to react with later for 0 Energy.) When you play me, give me +3 Might this turn.
- Spiderling ×3
VEN-097 · enabler · chaos
[Hidden] (Hide now for 1 Power of any domain to react with later for 0 Energy.) I have +1 Might for each other unit you control here with my name. Your deck can have any number of cards named Spiderling.

Deck
- Swift Scout is the legend, so the identity is Mind/Chaos and the Chosen Champion must carry the Teemo tag (103.2.a.2). OGN-121 Teemo, Strategist qualifies — it is a champion unit and signature: false — which puts one Teemo in the Champion Zone from turn one.
- Nothing has to be on the board first except Teemo at a battlefield you control, and Evelynn face down at one.

Prerequisites
- THE [HIDDEN] CENSUS IS MEASURED, AND THE ISSUE'S 39 IS RIGHT. `grep -c "Hide now for" data/corpus_flat.txt` returns 39; the bracketed `\[Hidden\]` grep returns 43 because four cards mention the keyword without carrying it (OGN-018, OGN-107, OGN-263, OGN-264) and SFD-138 Windsinger prints it un-bracketed. Excluding OGN-168 Fight or Flight (banned in both formats), a Mind/Chaos identity reaches 18 distinct [Hidden] cards — and unlike Calm/Mind and Mind/Order, none of the 18 is Signature, so all 18 are legal here whatever the Chosen Champion is.
- THE ARITHMETIC, AND THE ISSUE'S N IS WRONG BY THREE. 103.2 counts the Chosen Champion inside the 40 and 103.2.a.1 removes it before the game starts, so a 40-card list shuffles 39; the five Teemo reveals are then a uniformly random 5-subset of those 39 whatever has been drawn (116 draws 4), which is why no hand-size assumption is needed. With H [Hidden] among the 39: E[hits] = 5H/39 and P(0 hits) = C(39-H,5)/C(39,5). The issue's declared list (3 Teemo + 18 partners) with Teemo as Chosen Champion is H=20: E = 2.56, P(0) = 2.02% — not the 2.9 and 0.8% it published from N=36. This entry's own list (2 Teemo + 3 Evelynn + 3 Teemo Scout + 3 Spiderling + 3 each of UNL-081 Keeper of Masks, VEN-099 Tornado Warrior, SFD-138 Windsinger, OGN-097 Blastcone Fae) is H=23: E = 2.95, P(0) = 0.76%. The ceiling is 5, and it is a clean kill on anything at Might 5 or less.
- THE DENSITY DOES NOT DECAY, WHICH IS THE POINT. 'Then recycle the revealed cards' is mandatory and 416.1.a sends all five to the bottom of the Main Deck, so H/39 is the same on the last reveal as on the first. A deck that draws through itself thins its own hit rate; this one never does. 431.1.c makes the reveal safe even with fewer than 5 cards left, and 431.1.c.1 ignores the leftover instructions without a Burn Out.
- ONE FACE-DOWN CARD PER BATTLEFIELD. 811.1.b hides a card 'at a battlefield you control that doesn't already have a facedown card hidden there', so Teemo and Evelynn can never both be hidden at the same battlefield — one of them stands openly, and the standard build stands Teemo up and hides Evelynn. 811.1.b also delays every flip: 'Beginning on the next turn, this gains [Reaction]', so a card hidden this turn is live only from the next one.
- THE FORCED ATTACK, STEP BY STEP. Main Phase, Neutral Open State: play Evelynn from face down for 0 (811.1.b), which 811.1.d.1 puts at her battlefield and 811.1.c.3 opens a chain for. Her play trigger moves an enemy unit there; 190.3.a.1 and 450 apply Contested in that unit's controller's name. The chain closes, and in the Cleanup (319.6, 319.8) 323.8 stages a Showdown, 323.9 stages the Combat and 323.13 opens it. 464.2.c.1/c.2 make them the Attacker and you the Defender; 464.2.c.3 designates Teemo; 383.4.f fires. 464.2.e.1 puts the Defender's triggers on the Chain last, so 340.1 resolves them FIRST — the damage lands before 465's combat damage step and can empty the attacker's side (465.1).
- AND THE AMBUSH FLIP WORKS TOO, FOR A DIFFERENT REASON. If Teemo is the hidden one and they attack that battlefield, 347.1 lets you play him inside the Combat Showdown ([Reaction] from 811.1.b; 813.1.b gives it every permission of Action, which is what gets a unit past 155; 813.3.a confirms a battlefield you control is a legal destination). 464.2.c.3.a then designates him 'during the Cleanup phase following the action that caused it to become present' — the FIRST time he gains the designation in that combat — so 383.4.f fires even though he was not there when the combat opened. 383.4.f.2.a's once-per-combat is a cap, not a requirement that he was present at the opening.
- WHAT IT COSTS AND WHAT CAN GO WRONG. Swift Scout charges 1 Energy per hide instead of a rainbow Power, so arming Evelynn is 1 Energy a turn. 323.7 trashes every hidden card at a battlefield you stop controlling, so losing the battlefield loses the ambush outright. 809.1.c/809.1.d tax Teemo's 'choose an enemy unit here' against a [Deflect] attacker with Power, which on the opponent's turn has to be banked first (164.2.b, a Reaction with no exhaust); if the [Deflect] body is the only enemy unit there, there is no cheaper choice.
- NOT IN uses, DECLARED HERE. UNL-198 Moonfall is Mind/Chaos and does Evelynn's job as an [Action] spell, but it is Signature tagged Diana and 103.2.d.2 forbids it under a Teemo legend. SFD-129 Temptation moves an enemy 'to a location where there's a unit with the same controller' — toward their own units, never onto yours. OGN-264 Guerilla Warfare (Mind/Chaos, Signature, tag Teemo, legal here) returns up to two [Hidden] cards from your trash to your hand and lets you hide ignoring costs that turn; it is the recursion for the whole package and would be the sixth card of a five-card line. OGN-296 Void Gate adds 1 Bonus Damage to the trigger (714 sums instances), but 485.5 draws one of your three battlefields at random in a Duel and 103.4.c forbids stacking copies, and it is symmetric — 'Spells and abilities', not 'your'.
- 424.1.a.2 is the MECHANISM under the 431.1.c protection this entry already cites, and the entry carries the consequence without it: "Cards remain in the zone they are being Revealed from." Riot's own example is that a card Revealed from the top of the Main Deck "is still the top card of that player's Main Deck." So revealing can never Burn Out because NOTHING LEAVES THE DECK, which 424.1.a states as the general fact: "Revealed is a temporary state and is not a zone." Same shape this file records for 355.7 against 355.10.d and 811.6 against the tail of 811.1.b.
Steps
- Open with Teemo, Strategist as the Chosen Champion under Swift Scout, and build the Main Deck to the [Hidden] density above.
- Get a Teemo to a battlefield you control and leave him standing. On an earlier turn, hide Evelynn, Entrancing there for 1 Energy (Swift Scout's discount); 811.1.b makes her playable from the next turn on.
- On your Main Phase, play Evelynn from face down for 0. Her play trigger drags an enemy unit from anywhere to that battlefield (811.1.d.2's explicit-impossibility clause frees the target).
- The dragged unit applies Contested in its own controller's name (190.3.a.1, 450). In the following Cleanup 323.9 stages the Combat and 323.13 opens it; 464.2.c.1/c.2 make them the Attacker and you the Defender.
- 464.2.c.3 designates Teemo; 383.4.f fires; 464.2.e.1 + 340.1 resolve it first. Reveal 5, deal 1 per [Hidden] revealed to the dragged unit, recycle all five to the bottom (416.1.a, 416.5).
- If the unit died, 465.1 finds no attacker left and the combat ends with no damage step. Next turn, hide the next Evelynn — or pick a spent Teemo back up with Swift Scout's 1 Energy, exhaust — and repeat.
Per iteration
one forced Defend Trigger per Evelynn flipped, worth 2.95 damage on average and 5 at the ceiling, for 1 Energy to hide her and 0 to play her
How it ends
engine only — three Evelynn is three forced triggers a game, plus one per enemy attack into Teemo's battlefield; nothing here scores a point

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue141-teemo-strategist-reveal.md), issue #141 candidate 1. VERIFIED as ENGINE, with THREE ADDITIONS the issue did not have. (1) The issue's own 'what could refute it' was that the opponent can decline to attack; UNL-141 Evelynn, Entrancing answers it — she is [Hidden] Chaos density AND the forcer, because 190.3.a.1 and 450 key Contested on the moved unit's controller, so dragging a body onto your own battlefield makes THEM the Attacker on YOUR turn. A full grep of the 24 enemy-move effects in the pool shows she is the only in-identity, unbanned, non-Signature card that does it (UNL-198 Moonfall is Signature/Diana, illegal under a Teemo legend; SFD-129 Temptation moves an enemy toward their OWN units). (2) The arithmetic: 103.2 counts the Chosen Champion inside the 40 and 103.2.a.1 removes it, so the shuffled deck is 39, not the issue's 36, and the honest framing needs no hand-size assumption because the revealed five are a uniform 5-subset of the 39 whatever was drawn — the issue's declared list is E = 2.56 and P(0) = 2.02%, not 2.9 and 0.8%. (3) The density ceiling is not 'capacity': VEN-097 Spiderling prints 'Your deck can have any number of cards named Spiderling' and 002 makes that beat 103.2.b, so the bound is the scoring plan, not the copy cap. Also new: Teemo, Strategist is himself a legal Chosen Champion under Swift Scout (103.2.a.2, signature: false), and 811.1.b's one-facedown-per-battlefield clause is why Teemo and Evelynn cannot both be hidden there. Ban check against data/legality.json: none of the five carries a marker in either format. Trap check: no Attacker designation is claimed — the whole line works by making the OPPONENT the Attacker; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary] body is counted on; no token; no recall; nothing scores. Depends on no unruled reading.
