Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Get Soulgorger into your trash — discarded, milled by a [Burn N], or simply dead in an earlier combat.
  2. Cast The Harrowing (6 Energy + 2 Chaos Power).
  3. Play Soulgorger from the trash, ignoring his 8 Energy but paying his 2 Chaos Power (356.1.b.2). 355.2.a lets him land at your base or a battlefield you control.
  4. His own play trigger fires: play a second unit from your trash, again ignoring its Energy cost and paying only its Power cost.
  5. Two bodies are on the board for one card and four-plus Power; 143.4 has both enter exhausted, which costs nothing on defence.

Per iteration

-1 card, -6 Energy, -4 or more Chaos Power, +2 bodies from the trash

How it ends

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

AUTHORED 2026-09-07, issue #173. OGN-198 The Harrowing and OGN-196 Soulgorger were both in ZERO entries. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt; 103.1.b.3, 143.4, 185, 186.1, 355.2.a, 356.1.b.2, 356.1.b.3, 464.2.c.3, 465.2.b opened in the Core Rules file. Both cards legal in both formats; neither is Signature. No unruled reading. The fourth notable is the entry refusing its own premise for every other target: The Harrowing aimed at anything but Soulgorger is a marginal card, and the pairing exists because his play trigger is a second copy of the spell.
