[Hidden] (Hide now for 1 Power of any domain to react with later for 0 Energy.) When you play me, you may choose a unit you control at another location. Move me to its location and it to my original location.

Deck
- Legend domains are Mind and Chaos; the source builds it under Teemo, Swift Scout.
Prerequisites
- IT MOVES AN EXHAUSTED BODY, WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT. 143.4 makes the Mega-Mech enter exhausted, and 420.3.a puts the exhaust cost only on the Standard Move - a move by effect has neither restriction, which is the fact the #58 movement lens established. So the 8 Might arrives at a battlefield the turn it would otherwise be a statue in your base.
- 811.1.d.2 IS SETTLED BY THE RULE'S OWN WORKED EXAMPLES, WHICH NAME THESE CARDS. The clause is "If a hidden spell or a play effect of a hidden permanent chooses any targets, those targets must be chosen from among options at that battlefield, unless the ability explicitly restricts targeting in a way that makes this impossible", and 811.1.d.2.a adds "Each target is treated separately and individually when processing this rule." The exception is therefore PER TARGET, not per card, and the reglamento works both of these cards by name: Tideturner — "Because its play effect has a targeting restriction that can never be fulfilled by a unit at its battlefield, its target may be chosen freely from among the available options"; Smoke and Mirrors — "the first unit chosen can be chosen at the battlefield Smoke and Mirrors was played from, so it must be. The second unit chosen explicitly restricts targeting in a way that makes this impossible, so it can be chosen from any location." For Tideturner that means the swap reaches the base, which is what this entry always claimed — but the evidence is now the rule's own example rather than a reading of the clause. Unified across the catalogue on 2026-09-06 (issue #89): lillia-smoke-mirrors-sprite-relay and hwei-move-draw-ready-runes carried two different readings of the same clause and both have been corrected to this one.
- THE HIDING IS THE COST AND IT TAKES A TURN. 811.1.b: 1 Power to hide facedown at a battlefield you control, and only 'beginning on the next turn' does it gain [Reaction] and become playable for 0 Energy. 811.1.d.1 then forces it to be played to that battlefield, which is where the Mega-Mech ends up.
- 323.7 IS THE RISK: a hidden card at a battlefield you stop controlling is removed and put in its owner's trash at the next Cleanup.
- IT IS A +6 SWING, NOT A +8. You trade a 2 Might body at the battlefield for an 8 Might one, and the Tideturner goes to your base - the figure the source gives.
- The Mega-Mech has no text, so nothing is lost or gained by moving it; what it brings is raw Might and the Mech tag.
- WHAT IT PRODUCES IS A CONQUER, NOT TOKENS (corrected 2026-09-06). Neither OGN-199 nor OGN-088 makes a token — the Mega-Mech is a printed unit card. The 8 Might arriving at a battlefield is what wins the combat there, which 466.5.d makes a Conquer, so the honest feature is conquer-engine, the same one azir-sovereign-token-gather produces off a relocation.
- 355.5.b IS WHY THE CHOICE CANNOT BE ANSWERED AT THE MOMENT OF PLAY (upgrade 2026-09-12, #187 batch 7). 355.5.b exempts a permanent`s own Triggered Abilities from the Make Relevant Choices step - *"The target will be chosen when the ability triggers"* - so the body is already on the board when its own ETB chooses, and an opponent reacting to the card BEING PLAYED is acting before the choice exists. Their real window is after finalization, when 337.1 has already locked it.
Steps
- Hide Tideturner facedown at a battlefield you control (1 Power). Mega-Mech sits in your base, exhausted.
- From the next turn on, the hidden Tideturner has [Reaction] and can be played for 0 Energy (811.1.b).
- Play it: its play effect chooses the Mega-Mech at your base - another location, which 811.1.d.2's exception permits - and swaps them.
- The Mega-Mech is now at the battlefield, still exhausted, and Tideturner is at your base.
- Net +6 Might at that battlefield, for 1 Power and no exhaust from either unit.
Per iteration
an 8 Might body relocated to a battlefield for 1 Power, with no Standard Move and no exhaust
How it ends
one swing per Tideturner; three copies, three swings, no recursion

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue62-section3.md), issue #62 section 3. Both OGN-199 Tideturner and OGN-088 Mega-Mech appeared in NO entry before this. The rules point worth having on record is 811.1.d.2's exception clause: a hidden card's targets are normally confined to the battlefield it was hidden at, and a card that explicitly says 'at ANOTHER location' escapes it by the rule's own wording. That is the second time in this issue that reading a clause to its end changed the answer - the first was 190.6.d's second sentence. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Trap check: no attack designation; no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; a swap is a Move by effect and not a Recall, so 456 never applies; 143.4 is the very thing the line works around. Depends on no unruled reading. PRODUCES CORRECTED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-draw-lens-candidates.md, issue #59's extra task; the mislabel was recorded in section V of docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue63-payoff-lens.md and left for this walk). It carried 'token-body-engine' from an older display name, 'Repeatable ready bodies', and it makes NO token. What it produces is repeatable Conquers: 'conquer-engine' is the feature whose description was deliberately broadened in #64 to 'Conquers taken over and over, each carrying whatever rider the entry names — a draw, a ready, a relocation', and both riders are named there. For Tideturner the rider is the RELOCATION, the same shape as azir-sovereign-token-gather, whose own terminatesIn reads 'it relocates bodies and conquers'. OGN-088 Mega-Mech is a printed unit card, not a token. 811.1.d.2 REVISITED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue89-tournament-corpus.md, issue #89's extra task). This entry's reading was RIGHT and is now backed by the reglamento's own worked example, which names Tideturner. What changed is the two other entries that cited the same clause: lillia-smoke-mirrors-sprite-relay rejected the exception for UNL-083 Smoke and Mirrors and hwei-move-draw-ready-runes read it as applying to both of that card's targets; 811.1.d.2.a settles it per target, and its example names Smoke and Mirrors too. No class and no quantity changed in any of the three.
