Payoff
Deck
- Legend is Heart of the Tempest (VEN-155) — the only Order/Chaos legend in the pool.
Prerequisites
- The Hunter has no Ganking, so a Standard Move only ever runs base to battlefield or back (144.4.a/b): one free move per turn. A second move in the same turn needs a bounce: Ride the Wind (OGN-173) moves and readies him for 2E+1P, The Syren (OGN-184) sends him to base for 1E and its own exhaust, Flash (OGS-011) returns two units to base for 2E. He enters exhausted (143.4), so the turn he lands he produces nothing.
- R25 ruled A (2026-09-04): Renata's "Your tokens enter ready" beats the token-maker's "play a Gold gear token exhausted", so each Gold is Power the turn it appears. 369.3/370.1.c let Renata rewrite how a token enters, and rule 375 only makes a replacement inherit modifications it is itself silent about — its own example is a replacement that duplicates the token and says nothing about ready or exhausted. The Eye of the Herald Recruits were never in doubt: units default to exhausted (143.4) and Renata overrides the default.
Steps
- Treasure Hunter Standard Move to a battlefield: a Gold enters ready (+1 rainbow on demand).
- Ride the Wind: move him back and ready him (+1 Gold); Standard Move again (+1 Gold).
- With Eye of the Herald (SFD-153) attached, each move also drops a ready 1 Might Recruit.
How it ends
engine only — one Gold (and, with the Eye attached, one ready Recruit) per move: one move a turn for free, three with Ride the Wind, four with The Syren on top, for 3E + 1 Chaos Power

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
The unbounded version was Stealthy Pursuer (OGN-177), banned; no other 'moves with it' text exists in the pool on the L2 and L3 reads. Fae Porter (SFD-125) pays Chaos Power to bring the Hunter along for net zero and a Recruit. Card text verified against the corpus. HAND-WALKED 2026-09-04 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-two-industrialist-engines.md): four moves a turn (Standard Move, Ride the Wind which moves AND readies, Standard Move, The Syren) for 3 Energy + 1 Chaos Power, so four Gold, net +3 Power and -3 Energy. 187.5 makes the Gold's ability an EXHAUST cost, which is exactly why R25 = A matters. The Eye of the Herald rider also holds: 136.2.d makes its Effect Text 'I' the Hunter and 359.3.f.2 reads 'here' at resolution, i.e. the post-move location. VEN-155 Heart of the Tempest confirmed as the only Order/Chaos legend by scanning every Legend row. Depends on no unruled reading - R9 is settled by 420.1/420.2.a/456.1 and 359.3.f. REFUTE 2 (2026-09-03): WOUNDED — steady state is 4 Gold and 4 Recruits a turn for 3E + 1 Chaos Power with Ride the Wind and The Syren; the turn he lands it is zero; and the Gold is spendable the turn it appears (R25 ruled A, 2026-09-04).
