Void Rush reveals the Undertitan, and the Undertitan pays for its own play — a ready 5 Might body that pumps the board
Pieces
- Void Rush ×3
SFD-188 · engine · fury/order
Reveal the top 2 cards of your Main Deck. You may banish one, then play it, reducing its cost by 2 Energy. Draw any you didn't banish.
- Undertitan ×3
SFD-175 · payoff · order
When you play me, give your other units +2 Might this turn. As I'm revealed from your deck, [Add] 2 Energy.
- Rek'Sai, Breacher ×1
SFD-029 · enabler · fury
[Accelerate] (You may pay 1 Energy + 1 Fury Power as an additional cost to have me enter ready.) [Assault] (+1 Might while I'm an attacker.) Friendly units played from anywhere other than a player's hand have [Accelerate].
- Void Hatchling ×1
SFD-018 · enabler · fury
If you would reveal cards from a deck, look at the top card first. You may recycle it. Then reveal those cards.
Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains must cover Fury and Order; eight legends do (Hand of Noxus, Piltover Enforcer, Void Burrower among them).
- Nothing has to be on the board first except Rek'Sai, Breacher, and she is a 3 Energy 3 Might unit.
Run play
Prerequisites
- THE ADD LANDS BEFORE VOID RUSH FINISHES, WHICH IS THE QUESTION THE HUNT LEFT OPEN. 429.2: 'Triggered and activated abilities that Add resources resolve as soon as they are finalized.' 429.2.a goes further — 'Priority and Focus will not pass from Add abilities being finalized or resolving, and will resolve before any other outstanding items on the chain are finalized.' So the Undertitan's [Add] [E2] is in the Rune Pool at the instant of the reveal, several steps before Void Rush reaches 'then play it'. It does finance its own play. And 424.1.a.1 is what lets the revealed card speak at all: 'Other cards, including the card being revealed, can reference the act of being Revealed.'
- THE BANISHED ZONE IS NOT A HAND, WHICH IS THE OTHER QUESTION. Rek'Sai, Breacher reads 'Friendly units played from anywhere other than a player's hand have [Accelerate]', and Void Rush banishes the card and then plays it from there. [Accelerate] is not free, though: 805.1.a makes it 'As you play me, you may pay [1][C] as an additional cost. If you do, I enter ready', and 805.1.a.1 restricts the Power portion to a domain of the unit — the Undertitan is Order, so it is 1 Energy and 1 ORDER Power, not a rainbow.
- THE ARITHMETIC WITH THE QUANTITIES DECLARED, AND IT IS NOT THE '~4 ENERGY' THE HUNT PUBLISHED. Out: 2 Energy + 1 Power (Void Rush), 4 Energy + 1 Power (Undertitan at E6 reduced by E2; 356.6 never bites here), 1 Energy + 1 Order Power (Accelerate). In: 2 Energy from the Add. NET 5 ENERGY AND 3 POWER for a READY 5 Might body that gives your other units +2 Might this turn, plus the second revealed card drawn. The hunt counted the reduction and the Add and forgot both Power costs and the Accelerate.
- VOID HATCHLING FILTERS ONE CARD, NOT TWO. 'Look at the top card first. You may recycle it. Then reveal those cards' — the top card, singular. Void Rush reveals two, so the Hatchling improves the odds of hitting an Undertitan, it does not guarantee it. Recycling puts the rejected card on the bottom of the Main Deck (416.1), which is a cost inside a deck that is being drawn through.
- OVERLAP DECLARED. reksai-undertitan-reveal already runs three Undertitans, under SFD-170 Rek'Sai, Swarm Queen, revealed by her attack trigger. This is a different route to the same body — a spell instead of an attack, with the cost reduction and the Accelerate that Swarm Queen's line has neither of — and the two share only SFD-175. In one deck the three copies serve both.
- THE CEILING IS THE COPY LIMIT, TWICE. 103.2.b caps Void Rush at 3 and the Undertitan at 3, and each Void Rush is spent. Three bodies, and the last ones cost more because the deck is thinner.
- CITATION UPGRADE (2026-09-09): 369.1 is the paragraph that makes Undertitan’s “As I’m revealed” a Replacement Effect rather than a trigger, and Riot names the card in the example - which is why the reveal and the Add are one event and nothing can respond between them.
- 370.1.b.1 NAMES THIS CARD IN ITS OWN WORKED EXAMPLE AND WAS UNCITED HERE (upgrade 2026-09-12; a debt two separate lanes flagged). An *"as you look at or reveal me"* clause is a REPLACEMENT EFFECT, not a Triggered Ability: 370.1.b.1 - *"In the case of Replacement Effects that describe a game action to occur `as` an event occurs, the described event is replaced by that same event plus the game action being performed"* - and 371.2 is what makes its *"you may"* legal. Three consequences a trigger would not buy: there is **no Chain Item**, so no window exists between the look and the body arriving; it is **immune to every trigger multiplier in the pool** (`OGN-236 Karthus` doubles Deathknells, `UNL-087 Blue Sentinel` and `UNL-029 Red Brambleback` double Hold and Conquer triggers, and none of them can see a replacement); and 431.1.c keeps the look itself free of Burn Out.
- WHY AN ABILITY ON A CARD NOBODY HAS PLAYED WORKS AT ALL, WHICH THIS FAMILY CITED FOR NEITHER (upgrade 2026-09-12, #187 batch 15). Every entry in the Undertitan/Nocturne family cites 370.1.b.1, which says what KIND of ability it is and nothing about why it is active in the Main Deck. Three paragraphs answer that: **365.1 is the DEFAULT that would kill the family** - *"Passive Abilities of Permanents are typically only active while on the Board"*; **366.1 is the OVERRIDE** - *"Passive Abilities of cards in zones that are outside of the Board will self-describe their context"* - which was cited by TWO entries out of 762, neither of them here; and **368.1** - *"Passive Abilities can be Replacement Effects"* - had ZERO citations anywhere and is the hinge, because it is what makes 366.1 rather than 385.1 the applicable block. This project carries 385.1 and 385.2, the TRIGGERED-outside-the-board pair, at 16 and 42 citations and had never had the passive counterpart, so a reader reaches for 385 and gets the wrong block. **424.1.a.2** completes it - cards remain in the zone they are being Revealed from, with Riot naming the top of the Main Deck - which is why the self-described context is satisfied at the instant the passive fires.
- 373.2.a.1 IS NOT DEAD LETTER AND THIS ENTRY IS ITS ONE POOL CASE (upgrade 2026-09-12, #187 batch 15; zero citations before). `SFD-018 Void Hatchling` is itself a Replacement Effect on a reveal whose instruction ends *"Then reveal those cards"*, so Undertitan`s replacement applies to a Game Action that is part of ANOTHER Replacement Effect - the literal text of 373.2.a.1, which says it will not interrupt the sequence - with 370.2 as the companion that makes it terminate (its own worked example is a nested pair of Zhonya`s Hourglasses). **Without those two a reader can argue the honest opposite**: that the Hatchling REPLACED the reveal event, so the Undertitan was never revealed and the Add never happens. The arithmetic is unaffected; this is the entry`s own two enablers needing the paragraph that says they compose.
- 370.3 IS THE NARROWEST AND MOST ON-POINT PARAGRAPH FOR THIS CARD AND IT WAS MISSING FROM THE WHOLE FAMILY (self-audit upgrade 2026-09-12, #187 batch 20). The earlier pass prescribed 365.1, 366.1, 368.1 and 424.1.a.2, which are about PASSIVE ABILITIES IN GENERAL. **370.3 is about REPLACEMENT EFFECTS AND ZONES SPECIFICALLY**: *"If a Game Object has a Replacement Effect that is active in a specific zone, it is evaluated and subsequently applied if it enters that zone before an event occurs that it could replace."* Measured on 2026-09-12 it was cited by **exactly ONE entry in 762** and by none of this family. 366.1 says a passive outside the board self-describes its context; 370.3 says a replacement effect can be ACTIVE IN A ZONE and is applied if the object entered that zone first - and for a card sitting in the Main Deck since the game began that timing half is free, **which is exactly why it is easy to leave out** and why its worked example is the case where the half BITES.
Steps
- Have Rek'Sai, Breacher on the board (3 Energy) and, if you have it, Void Hatchling (2 Energy).
- Play Void Rush for 2 Energy + 1 Power. Reveal the top 2 cards of your Main Deck.
- If an Undertitan is among them its 'As I'm revealed' triggers; 429.2 resolves the [Add] [E2] on the spot, before Void Rush continues.
- Banish the Undertitan and play it for 4 Energy + 1 Power (E6 reduced by E2), paying 1 Energy + 1 Order Power for the [Accelerate] Rek'Sai grants it, so it enters ready.
- Its play trigger gives your other units +2 Might this turn. Draw the card you did not banish.
- Net 5 Energy and 3 Power for a ready 5 Might body, a board-wide +2 for the turn, and a card.
Per iteration
one ready 5 Might body plus +2 Might to your other units and one card drawn, for a net 5 Energy and 3 Power
How it ends
engine only — three Void Rush and three Undertitans, each spell consumed; nothing brings a Void Rush back, so the line runs at most three times per game

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-06 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-06-issue89-tournament-corpus.md), issue #89 candidate 1 (51 registered lists, 34 of them with Void Hatchling). SFD-188 Void Rush and SFD-018 Void Hatchling appeared in NO entry before this; SFD-029 is in reksai-sarcophagus-accelerated-recursion and SFD-175 in reksai-undertitan-reveal, and both overlaps are declared. THE WALK'S TWO ADDITIONS over the hunt, which filed both as open questions: 429.2 and 429.2.a settle the timing of the [Add] in the line's favour (an Add ability resolves before any other outstanding chain item is finalized), and 805.1.a.1 corrects the price — the hunt's '~4 Energy' counted neither the two Power costs nor the Accelerate, and the honest figure is 5 Energy and 3 Power. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened: 103.2.b, 356.6, 416.1, 424.1.a.1, 429.2, 429.2.a, 805.1.a, 805.1.a.1. Ban check: none of the four carries a [BANNED marker. Trap check: no attack designation is claimed (the +2 Might is a play trigger, not a combat one); no [Repeat]; no [Temporary]; no token; no Gold; the Add is inside a Main Phase and is spent in the same resolution, so trap 167 (the Rune Pool emptying at the Main Phase start) never applies. Depends on no unruled reading.
