Payoff
Deck
- Legend domains cover Calm and Chaos — Unforgiven is the legend, so the identity is fixed (103.1.b).
Prerequisites
- Yasuo enters exhausted (143.4), so the engine starts the turn AFTER he lands, with him ready at his base.
- The legend and The Syren each ready only in your Awaken, so the three-move sequence runs exactly once per turn.
- Step 3 leaves Yasuo exhausted at a battlefield. Swapping it for OGN-173 Ride the Wind ('Move a friendly unit and ready it', 2E 1P) leaves him ready to defend, at the cost of one card and 2E+1P instead of nothing.
- Timing closes inside one Main Phase, which the entry originally asserted without support: 381 — 'All Activated Abilities can only be activated on the Controlling Player's Turn and during an Open State' — covers the legend (174.8), 151.2 covers the gear, and 144.1.a covers the Standard Move. Everything re-readies in your next Awaken (315.1.b).
- The 3 Energy costs no board: 164.2.a makes Energy the rune's EXHAUST ability, not the recycle one, so three runes are tapped and all three come back in the Awaken. Contrast a Power cost, which recycles the rune away for good (164.2.b, 161.2.b). CORRECTED 2026-10-24 (#452): not for good. 416.1.b: 'Runes are Recycled to the Rune Deck.' 430.1 channels it again when the deck reaches it, so a recycled rune is off the board on every turn until the Rune Deck runs dry, which once a rune is recycled is T7 at the earliest going first and T6 at the earliest going second with only the Channel Phase's two a turn (161.2.a, 315.3.b, 485.7); each two more runes recycled push it a turn later, and a card that channels more (430.2) brings it back sooner. It is still a cost the Awaken does not refund, which is the contrast this step draws.
Steps
- Unforgiven: pay 2 Energy and exhaust the legend — move Yasuo from his base to a battlefield. MOVE 1. Yasuo stays ready: only the Standard Move exhausts a unit (144.2), an effect move does not.
- The Syren: pay 1 Energy and exhaust the gear — move Yasuo from that battlefield to his base. MOVE 2.
- Standard Move: Yasuo goes base to battlefield, exhausting himself as the cost (144.2, 144.4.a). MOVE 3 — 'the third time I move in a turn, you score 1 point.'
How it ends
engine — exactly one point per turn ('the third time', not 'every third time'), for 3 Energy and zero cards spent; eight turns to the Victory Score on its own

How this entry was audited
REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.
HAND-WALKED 2026-09-04 (docs/phase0/walks/2026-09-04-nine-domain-lens-candidates.md), issue #29. All three card texts verified verbatim against data/corpus_flat.txt on 2026-09-04. 446.1 makes each of the three position changes a Move — 'A Permanent changing its position from any space on the Board to another space on the Board is a Move' — and none is a recall, so 456 ('Recalls are not Moves') does not apply. R2 (ruled A) is load-bearing: 'you score 1 point' printed on a card is a point Gain by ability (194.1.c), not a 469 Score, so 470's once-per-battlefield cap does not touch it and Yasuo's point STACKS on the same battlefield's Hold. Trap check: no attack trigger anywhere, so the empty-enemy-battlefield trap (383.4.e, 461) does not bite; no [Temporary]; no rune recycled; the Energy is spent in the Main Phase, so 167 does not bite. calm+chaos had four catalogued entries and no point source at all. WALK: holds as written. The one gap was timing, now closed by 381 + 151.2 + 144.1.a. Every rule the entry cites was reopened and says what the entry says.
