Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Have Yuumi, Magical Cat (3 Energy + 1 Power), Affectionate Poro (3 Energy) and one other body together: at the same battlefield to defend, or all three in base to attack, moving in as one Standard Move (144.3; CORRECTED 2026-10-14, #349).
  2. When a combat starts - either side - Yuumi's trigger gives the OTHER body +3 Might and [Tank] for the turn.
  3. 815.1.c.2 makes every other unit you control there an invalid assignment until that body has lethal damage, so the Poro is untouchable while it lives.
  4. 465.2.c.3 forces the attacker to put lethal on it in full first; an attack summing less than its new Might kills nobody.
  5. When the combat ends, the Poro has taken no damage and draws 1.
  6. Do not let anything ping the Poro earlier in the turn: its condition reads 'this turn', not 'this combat'.

Per iteration

one card per combat the Poro survives untouched, bought by nominating a different body to absorb everything

How it ends

engine only - one card per Poro per combat, three of each by 103.2.b, and it stops paying against any source of incidental damage; nothing here scores

How this entry was audited

REFUTE = a refutation pass, with its date and verdict · WOUNDED = the pass found a flaw and the entry was rewritten · BUDGETED = the pass checked the recycle-and-draw ledger · lens = the hunt that proposed it.

HAND-WALKED 2026-09-07 (issue #188). The first entry to use UNL-056 Yuumi, Magical Cat or VEN-024 Affectionate Poro. Card text verbatim from data/corpus_flat.txt. Citations opened and quoted: 103.1.b.3, 103.2.b, 143.2.a, 143.3.b.2, 464.2.c.3, 465.2.c, 465.2.c.3, 469, 740.2.c, 815.1.b, 815.1.c.2, 815.2. The entry turns on granting [Tank] to a body that is NOT the payoff - this project has recorded that granting Tank protects every OTHER body, and here that is the whole mechanism rather than a side effect. The 'this turn' versus 'this combat' distinction on the Poro is stated because it is the difference between a reliable card and one a single ping switches off. Ban check: neither card is banned or restricted; neither is a Signature card. No unruled reading. CORRECTED 2026-10-14 (#349), from the run play docs/plays/2026-10-14-yuumis-grant-is-the-plus-three-and-one-flurry-takes-both.md (#347). Each of its four leads was re-read against the card text and the Core Rules and applied: (1) the sixth notable's 'a garrison that already contains a printed Tank wants Yuumi's grant elsewhere or not at all' is withdrawn, because 815.2 makes only the keyword redundant and the +3 is the threshold; grant it to the printed Tank (the fourth-body trade is stated and was not walked by the play); (2) the Flurry notable now says that in response to the trigger it switches the draw off outright and, on a reading of 359.3.f.2 with 359.3.e.12 that the notable labels as such, mistargets the grant; (3) a new notable and step 1 say an attack needs all three in base, absent Ganking (144.4.c.1); (4) the second notable now separates the survival threshold (5 or less on a 6) from the draw threshold (at most the Tank's Might). Citations added and opened: 144.3, 144.4.a, 144.4.b, 144.4.c.1, 319.5, 355.10.d, 359.3.e.12, 359.3.f.2, 465.2.c.4. Status stays verified: the mechanism walked as stated, and the corrections change which body takes the grant and what the named answer costs, not whether the engine draws.
